Nice atmosphere just off the harbor…read more I had the Chicken Tikki Masala, Samosa, and Naan. All three were very delicious. The CTM could have been spicier. Unfortunately the staff spoke very little English, so it was a little difficult getting the order right.

Ordered online which was easy and direct from their website. I also received a confirmation email that the order was received and would be delivered in 30 minutes. Over an hour passed and I called them. They said they didn't receive the order and passed me on the phone to 2 other people. The last person said they found it on a different website, then I received an SMS immediately. They said it would be another hour to deliver our food. At this point, after the phone call I had 1.5 hours invested in the order. Any other calls would just take as long at this point...so I thought. Another hour goes by and I call. They said the delivery person had left and it should arrive soon. Another 15 minutes go by and I call back again. A different person tells me he left 20 minutes ago and should arrive soon. The restaurant is less than 2km from our flat. We hear the delivery scooter arrive and I meet the delivery person. I let him know what time we ordered and even he was surprised. The order on the paper was correct so I take the food upstairs and pay. The food was not hot and needed to be heated. We ate as we were very hungry. The Balti Gosht was good which is the only reason there is a Star.

We ordered too many items to list but everything was so delicious and the prices seemed too good to be true! With four appetizers, two entrees, a mojito, and a beer- it came out to less than $35/person.. we were shocked! If this place were closer to our airbnb, I would have eaten here every night!

I had just about given up trying to find a good indian restaurant in France - ironically, the one I…read moredid find was named "O'Pakistan"! I just ate at a highly rated Indian restaurant in Bordeaux two nights ago, and it was disappointing. This place does not disappoint! I ordered the vegetarian Thali, which I highly recommend - it comes with about 8 different dishes (small, of course), and three sauces. The "spicy" sauce was actually hot! Yay!!! Of course, I coughed quite a bit at the end, but spicy food always does that to me. The ambience was definitely good - carved chairs, lots of hand-drawn murals in the street outside, carved wood everywhere. The service was fast (although I was the first person in the restaurant that night). Yes, there were people selling roses, but they didn't bother me. Every dish on my thali was excellent! I was SO HAPPY, I could have died right then and there! The mint sauce and the spicy (yellow) sauce were great. There were dals, pakoras, rice, what seemed to be a malai kofta, a potato patty, some sort of mushroom thingy, and it came with bread. Plus, they have Ricard! ;-) My only disappointment was that they didn't have Rasmalai for dessert; wikipedia says it is eaten in Pakistan, so, why not? Anyway, I hope I get a chance to eat there again before I leave Marseille!

Though expensive, it makes for.a great light lunch option, and both the restaurant space and servers are warm and inviting. On our visit, we tried all five dishes from the main menu. The cold soup of carrots with ginger/cumin and coconut milk was thick and refreshing, and the coddled egg with butternut cream was hearty and went well with the basket of bread. We also had the piping hot zucchini gratin with egg/garlic/sage; a simple herbal farro salad with tomatoes, green beans, and cucumber; and a bruschetta with a "tchoutchouka" topping of cooked onions, peppers, and tomatoes! Every dish here was freshly prepared and reflected local, seasonal produce, though I thought the seasoning could have been more refined. This is definitely one of the healthiest, earth-friendliest restaurants around that you'll find!

This place is located in a lane way and not something you can find as you walk along. It's a gorgeous cafe with basic interiors and a glass wall to the kitchen so you can see the chef in action. There are about 20-25 seats in the inside on two levels and some seats outside. The staff here really made it for me. Extremely friendly, helpful and whilst their English was not great were willing to try and help us. The chef spoke ok English and explained the menu to us. Service here gets top marks for friendliness :-)) They have a daily menu and you can pick 2 or 3 choices of courses. We picked two and it comes altogether in a plate. I had a lovely zucchini cold soup and a fabulous quinoa dish. The flavours were good and I loved it. For dessert they recommended a local speciality which is a fromage blanc (fresh cheese) with a fruit compote and I loved it. Slightly unusual start but a fantastic finish with the intense fruit compote. Being a vegetarian in France is always hard as the choices are very limited. This is an exception and it tastes great. I would happily come back here for a meal and enjoy the delicious vegetarian feed. A great find in Marseille :-))
