If you really want to see this therapist don't rely on her web site for communication, she doesn't seem to be checking it.

Dr. Pedersen has an ability to understand one's suffering and to link it to a way out. He can allow one to understand the impact of the emotional shells exploding around one's head; how to protect from further issues, to the extent possible; and how to begin the process of repairing the damage. His extensive knowledge of therapy, as well as his knowledge of other avenues of treatment, permitted me to understand myself much better. I could see the destructive nature of certain actions I was allowing to be inflicted upon me, and I was armed with a defense mechanism. I've never taken so many notes since I was in school. And, he has the ability to convey his knowledge in a way that is understandable and can be applied in one's daily life. He gave me guidance that I applied regularly; things I never would have thought of. His therapy just works, at least it did for me. I am a much changed person. I am happy and joyful most of the time now. He got me out of some dark places. Was it easy? No. Was it worth it? Definitely. If you have issues, you need a therapist who can take you through them and show you the way out. Dr. Pedersen did it for me. From a personality side, he has a great sense of humor, he is never mean or derogatory, and he truly has a desire to help his patients. He is bright, funny, and caring. She likes to use modern technology which is great for us busy people. She uses psychselect.com services which is HIPAA compliant; so I can send her electronic messages as well as schedule/cancel appointments without having to play phone tag. So nice! Also, she uses an electronic debit service so that I can process my co-pays in those cases where I don't have cash and on the flip side she doesn't have to deposit checks. As a therapist, she is extremely effective and provides constructive feedback pushing me to think through my emotional/psychological barriers. Also, Allison has a unique counseling philosophy where she blends cognitive, behavioral and spiritual. It continues to be the best fit for me and my strong spiritual beliefs. Elevate has delivered on everything they said they would do. From my first call to get information to graduation, we have experienced a lot of caring, understanding and professionalism. Even though my son had agreed to go into rehab, he was able to talk to someone on the phone who explained to him what the program is about and what he could expect. The facilities are simple, but the setting of the program is absolutely beautiful and serene. My son was able to call me every day, form an Elevate cell phone, and share the process he was going through, including a lot of his insights. The curriculum is complete, well organized, and well paced. My son already had some self-awareness, but the Elevate curriculum had him delve deep into every corner of his mind and heart, giving him a deep understanding of his relationship to life and drugs. During his first week at Elevate I received a daily report on him and subsequently, I received a weekly call from our family coordinator. During these calls, I was given all the time that I needed to ask questions and share things that I thought they should address with my son. Elevate addressed all areas of life, which I think is essential for accomplishing a healthy lifestyle. Elevate was able to steer my son into a "Sober Living Environment."
