Lacking Empathy and Basic Human Kindess…read more I had been hired by Kiddie Academy with the hopes and promises of advancing my career in early education only to find discrimination and cruelty. They have admitted to being against hiring males specifically and fired me as soon as they found out I had become homeless. I had worked hard for the short period I was there and gave everything they demanded as quickly and efficiently as I could just for them to terminate me for reasons out of my control. As soon as the Director, Nancy, was told I was living in hotels due to my mobile home being crashed into by a snowplow (enough to have left damage making it unlivable) she fired me. It did not matter how good of a worker I was for them, she discriminated against me due to my currently living hardships and in turn making life in general much harder after letting me go. I had even turned down other positions for this job just to be treated in this way. On top of all of this, I still have not been paid for my time there AND Nancy tried to cut down the hours I would get paid. Are these the kind of people you want teaching your kids? Lacking empathy and basic human compassion, sexist, do you really want your kids growing and learning from an environment and people like that? Trust me, if you love or care for your child, you will go elsewhere because they don't care about your child just the money they bring in.

Not just for kids, adventurous grown ups can appreciate what is offered her just as much, if not more. Lynn helped us organize everything and met with us for a planning meeting to make sure our adventure would be just what we wanted. She was extremely responsive and reachable by phone and email. The lighting and sets exceeded our expectations and the monsters were fantastic! It was a thrill to go into battle and actually have opponents that attack and strike you. There is nothing else like this place ! The experience is very customizable and if you aren't quite sure what you are looking for the staff is experienced at building stories and running events. In my opinion this is THE option for a unique birthday party/ group event

IT wasnt cheap- but they offer that kids can go to more then one class a week under the same rate. I recenlty called them to ask a question- their receptionist didnt put me on hold-I heard her entire conversation., along with the owners voice (that I recognized) saying'just make something up- its a parent- yu never want to get in coversations with them;.Then got 'Lisa' on the phone so sounded so sicky sweet and condescending I wanted to whack her through the phone. NO need to fake the niceness- I heard it all before you came on the line. Tacky. Send your kid to theatre classes instaed of this King Richards wanna be.

While the kids have a good time (mostly because they're just literally "left to their own devices" and that's all the kids need to have a good time) the organizers of the program can't communicate effectively with parents (and when they do the organizers are rude and immature), can't keep to a schedule, can't follow through on things they say they will do, can't organize equitable accommodations for the kids, and even lost two separate care packages we sent our child (after we checked and they told us we could send them). Additionally, it would appear most of the "sessions" impart very little practical knowledge. If you'd like to send your kids to a camp where a bunch of 30-year-old children play video games with your kids for two weeks, and you don't actually expect them to learn anything, do anything, be supervised, or even receive anything, then this is a perfect camp. However, if you as a parent expect what you expect of other camps for teens, you will be severely disappointed. Would rate 1/10.
