There was also a deal for 3 rooms of carpet and 1 sofa and 1 love seat for $79. I opted for the 49 dollar deal and my daughter for the 79 dollar deal as her carpets were in dire need of cleaning. It mentioned that taxes were extra. What wasn't mentioned was this "environmental fee" that he insisted had to be paid because I ordered the services through the internet ie: groupon. He insisted that if we'd just called him this wouldn't apply. A tax evasion ploy if I ever saw one. Straight off the top Raj was late getting here after a confirmation email that he would be here at 9 am. He proceeded to look at the couches and I asked him for an estimate for doing my stairs as my cat peed at the base. He quoted me 4 dollars per stair. To be fair he counted the 2 landings as 2 stairs even though it was a much bigger area than 2 risers. I'm not sure if that's a good price or not but he was here with the equipment and I wanted it done so I said ok. Then he wanted to see the carpets. Now granted, the bedroom carpets had never been professionally cleaned since we moved in 3 years ago. The cat and dog had both had various accidents and my granddaughter tipped over her potty. My daughter had cleaned the spots using an upright shampooer many times. So while the carpets were smelly and dingy, they weren't filthy. He on the other hand insisted that they were "heavily soiled" and would cost more. She agreed to pay the extra 20 per room. Now for his attitude. He was rude, extremely rude. When he quoted the stairs and I was surprised, he rolled his eyes at my soninlaw as if to imply I was being ridiculous. He bitched and moaned about the job all the way through. He bitched about how dirty the couches were. He bitched about how many times he had to refill the reservoir and how much product he had to use because as he said " the carpets were filthy". He bitched about how long it took him here. For the record he got here at 930 and was gone by 12. 2 1/2 hours for 2 couches 2 love seats 12 stairs and 3 rooms of carpet that he kept moaning about doesn't seem to be excessive to me. He argued with my daughter over whether she'd vacuumed the carpets before hand, he argued with me insisting my daughter lied about the pee stain in the kids bedroom. I finally cut him off and said I was there dude. She told you the kid tipped over the potty. He shut up after that. We paid $128 through Groupon. We paid him another $175 for the extras (stairs, cost for the heavy soil, taxes and tip).He insisted this be paid in cash. No debit, credit or cheques. Right there that tells me again that they prefer under the table than upfront payment with proper taxes and gst etc. Altogether he received $303 from us and that works out to $121 bucks an hour! Hardly a reason to bitch and moan in my opinion. For all of that he did an excellent job of the furniture. It looks brand new again. The stairs look great too. The carpets while they look pretty good, it is my opinion that he could've spent a little more time on them. I think if he had they would've come up a bit cleaner. Still, they look worlds better than they did. Would I use this company again? A resounding NO. He was a whiny little goof with absolutely zero customer service skills. For what he got paid he should have been way more customer service friendly. The only reason he got a 2 is because the couches and stairs look so good. I would suggest the whole company retrain in customer service and how to speak to people.

Since we no longer live in Toronto, I am unable to have them recleaned by the company. The smaller rug was as dirty as it was before cleaning. This carpet had been in a bedroom that was not used often, so the dirt was just from slippers. The larger rug now has an orange-line stain (see picture). I'm surprised by all of the excellent reviews since both of my rugs were not cleaned properly. The rugs were picked up, cleaned, and returned in under two weeks and the delivery men were pleasant and efficient.

I called Allpro Carpet Cleaning and booked an appointment to have them see what they could do. The gentleman from Allpro arrived on time, was very friendly and seemed quite passionate about cleaning, sanitizing, and deodorizing my mattress. They had several service levels you could choose, from just a basic clean steam and extract, to a full featured sanitize. I opted for the full service as I really wanted to ensure a clean fresh mattress. He was finished in about 30 minutes at 3PM and I was sleeping on my dry & clean mattress by 11PM. After a couple days, I was still not satisfied with the smell of the mattress (it was a memory foam pillowtop which could easily hold on to stuff more than a traditional mattress & no one else in my house agreed that there was even a smell but I could smell it) so I called them back half expecting to have to fight to get them to return and work at it some more. Not only did they return within a couple days, they happily executed another more thorough clean and brought with them a special enzyme shampoo which effectively eliminated all odors.
