He has a great eye for detail which is soooo important with the accident that happened on my couch. He took his time to ensure it was done right. I didn't have a chance to examine my two rugs after they were cleaned since we moved to the US and I couldn't open the rugs until now. Since we no longer live in Toronto, I am unable to have them recleaned by the company. The smaller rug was as dirty as it was before cleaning. This carpet had been in a bedroom that was not used often, so the dirt was just from slippers. The larger rug now has an orange-line stain (see picture). I'm surprised by all of the excellent reviews since both of my rugs were not cleaned properly. This is my first time using a cleaning service for my couch and I am so glad we hired this company. Especially happy with my request for Dan to give my couch the quality care and maintenance it needs. Our couch had a lot of water stains along with our dogs continuous licking which left water marks on the surface of our new couch. Dan was amazing and very efficient. Reliable sent their technician Frank to my apartment to clean my long neglected yellow sofa, and he did a great job. He arrived soon after 9 am on a Saturday, worked two hours non-stop in 86 degrees heat (I don't have A.C.). He barely stopped to drink water w/ ice cubes I offered. My sofa looks amazing. Almost as good as new, and it had five years worth of dirt & cat vomit (thank you Snoofie) ground into its nap. If you have pet stains, there's a $58.00 extra charge for an enzyme treatment. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with Reliable Carpet Care in July 2021. My cleaning woman accidentally spilled water on an upholstered dining room chair causing a water stain. I wanted the single chair cleaned however there was a minimum charge of $150 to have them come into my home because the chair could not be brought in due to COVID restrictions. So, to get my money's worth, I had a total of six chairs cleaned and spent even more money after that to have two carpets and some pillows cleaned as I had read good reviews on line and thought it would be money well spent. I was wrong. It was a waste of $473.47. The chairs have a wooden frame and the technician cleaning the seats of the chairs, scratched the wood on 5 of the 6 the chairs with the metal head of the cleaning device. When I pointed that out to him while he was in my home, he immediately denied that he done it, without even looking at the wood. Fortunately, I had taken a picture of the chair only days earlier to send to my cleaning woman and there were clearly no scratches visible on the wood. I mentioned this to Stephen and shared the photos, and he offered to send the same technician back to re-clean the chair and "look at any scratches". Although the water stain did not come out, that was not my concern. My concern was the damage to the chairs and the same technician had already insisted that he did not cause any damage. Stephen then agreed to send Dan, a more senior technician to my home. Dan immediately agreed that the chairs had been damaged by the cleaning head and was kind enough to remind me that I did not pay money to have my furniture damaged. I spoke with Stephen again and his solution was to offer to order some furniture markers from Amazon for me at a cost $19.99. At no point did he apologize for damaging my furniture nor did he offer to make it right. I was expected to repair the damage caused by his employee. Needless to say, I am not impressed with this poor service and cannot recommend this company to others. read more

The quality is the absolute worst I have ever had experienced. The ratings are eight absolute lie. I used to rent the machine and clean myself and I will have buckets and buckets of water refilling and pouring out to make sure the carpet is clean. I only wanted to try a company because I don't have the time this time. But I'm so devastated right now because the carpet is next to nothing has done and 150 is out of my pocket for about an hour of work which is not work because I don't see it cleaned. This is the second time I've used Reliable for our upholstery cleaning needs. The first time was last year (June 2014) after moving to our new house - the movers scuffed our furniture and we needed all the carpeted areas cleaned. We cleaned our sofa, armchair, a futon, mattress, runner on the stairs and master bedroom carpet. They did a great job, so I got another quote this year. We only needed our microfiber sofa/chair touched up, because last year's construction dust got into it. Dan was super nice, and I would definitely recommend his work. I have used Reliable Carpet & Upholstery Care several times to clean and sanitize (thanks to our pup!) our large area rug. Stephen is professional and friendly, and really knows his fabrics. In fact, after glancing at our expensive "microfibre" sectional purchased at a local high-end furniture store, he told us he would not recommend it for steam cleaning, as it was *not* microfibre, but rather a cheaper fabric that would not stand up well to a professional steam clean. We called the store we purchased the couch from and after some hemming and hawing, his suspicions were confirmed. And on top of all these things, the price is reasonable. Shawn/Sean was absolutely fantastic. He came by to clean a couch that hadn't been cleaned in 10 years. After seeing it, he said it may not be worth it to clean, because it looked more 'worn' than stained, but he would clean a cushion for free and let us decide whether we'd like to keep the appointment. If we didn't think it was worth it, he said we could cancel the appointment at no charge to us. After he cleaned the first cushion, it looked spotless. Reliable Carpet does not stand by their work and damaged our Upholstery with no intent on fixing the problem. We had Reliable out to clean a sectional in a dark ink coloured fabric. At first it appeared to look great but over time as it fully dried we noticed large salt like stains appearing across the seat of the sectional. Despite the technician saying if we had any issue with the work he would come back and the company saying originally that they would send someone out to fix it. Due to the fact we could not coordinate this immediately when we later followed up we were told they could not do anything for us due to the amount of time we let pass and treated us as if we had not informed them of the issue earlier. Now we are left with a very unsightly sofa and only an offer from Reliable to fully repay to have the service repeated. I have over 15 years of professional experience in high end furniture in Toronto and I have never experienced such unaccountable service for what is obviously a botched cleaning job and an unwillingness to make sure the client is satisfied. Please spend your money elsewhere!! I've never had an issue in many years of using Fibre Sheild and should have stayed with them for this job. Costly mistake! read more
