He came out the next day, and replaced all of the gaskets around the roofing vents. He showed me a before and after picture of the gaskets. He surmised that a squirrel could have chewed into the gasket, trying to get into our house. I think that he is right, because other neighbors have squirrels in their attic. Jay prepared me in advance for any extra work that might be needed and took many pictures when the slate tiles were off so i could see what was needed. The new work looked terrific when completed as a result of certain finishes that Jay suggested at no extra cost. His crew was very respectful of my tenants and maintained the grounds of the property throughout the job. I have spoken with 4 roofing companies who all said this is not the correct application for my roof and there is nothing they can do to remove it. This was never discussed with me prior and I have an HOA that is requiring me to replace that section. Mark refuses to pay for the damage. In addition, he has not been able to identify the leak for over a month and his solution is to replace the back half of my roof which is under 10 years old. Unfortunately, the insurance company played a lot of games and I was only able to hire Jim for the job a year latter. In June after re quoting the job in May But No surprise there with tariffs And inflation? It did go up, but not nearly as bad as I was afraid. I told Jim I didn't want him to start till the tree surgeons had cut down all the other giant trees. I didn't want any more things falling on the House. And so he showed up 2 days after the tree guys perfect timing. And his guys completed the job in 3 days. First of all, it's lasted through some hellacious rainstorms. And now that I have gutters and everything's well ordered and set up. I had no water in my basement. There were no leaks in the roof, Of course that's what you expect, but life has taught me that that's not what you always get, but it did the job perfectly one less worry off my mind. Jim's men worked quickly and professionally in the incredibly hot weather, I was impressed at the effort they put out. The craftsmanship was first class as this house had been reroofed in 1980 and everything else was from 1946 a bit worn. So there was a lot of little. And gutters and downspouts match the actual color of the house better than I could even hoped. And. When they were done, everything was cleaned up.
