I always felt a sense of magic whenever I walked the woods, gazed at the pond, and saw the joy on each child's face on the nature playground! I was always in awe of the unique activities and ideas flowing through the children and teachers! Ms. Carolyn is such an incredible soul who values children and offers each of them an invitation to receive an incredible love of learning. The foundational skills of curiosity, social interaction, creativity, exploration, and problem solving are rock solid after my child's preschool experience. His connection to nature and love for science couldn't be more beautiful. There is no other preschool in our area that comes close to this unique forest school experience. In addition, we took advantage of the summer camp offerings and birthday party packages as well!! We drove 25 min between our home and the school. It is worth every moment of commuting to give my child such a rich childhood experience. I plan to continue my relationship with Woodland Discovery when my youngest is old enough to begin!!

They have a library with plenty of puzzles and books to choose from. They have a laundry facility as well as a communal kitchen. I went with about…read more10 of my coworkers, and we all had different "jobs" to do from helping with check out to running the stamps to cut out shapes for bulletin boards. What Classroom Central does, is provide free school supplies for teachers in underprivileged school districts. They cover about 7 districts from Union to Mecklenburg to even one in SC. They have everything set up for teachers to "shop" the store. They get a certain quantity of each item and can pick up to 25 different items. These items range from book bags, to one subject notebooks, to markers, pens, pencils, and crayons. All the items are donated and Classroom Central doesn't receive money from the state. Risa is in charge of the volunteers who work there, and she is a gem. She's very patient with people like me who ask a lot of obvious questions, and I can tell she appreciates everyone who comes in. If you ever have the chance to volunteer, please do so. They have a sign up online, and normally go in 4 hour shifts. Mine was 1:30-5.

My son has been going here since he was 12 weeks old and I could not recommend it enough. As a new…read moremom with no family close by, I had no idea what I was doing. Wendy was a god send and was super informative and supportive. I was terrified to introduce solids and they really helped me with that. My son loves all of his teachers (especially Jedah) and always has a smile on his face for Wendy when he's dropped off. I honestly know they love my son and it makes it so much easier to drop him off and just get through the work week. A bunch of teachers that aren't even in his class always say hi to him and know about him (Miss Meghan and Miss Anne). The front desk staff (Brooke, Kristen, Tiffany) and so awesome too. Kim has been super welcoming from the get go. Also the fact that tuition includes food is SO nice. It saves money but more so it's just one less thing to worry about and do during hectic mornings and evenings. Also, they do so many activities and theme weeks - my son lives water play. We have had such a great experience so far.

Our daughter attended the infant room at Kids R Kids for about 3.5 months. It was our first…read moreexperience with daycare and we were happy with it. The director of the center is on site every day and is very responsive over phone and email. You can tell she really cares and that translates to the attitudes of the teachers, too. Kids R Kids has a higher staff to child ratio than is required by the state, so we felt good that our daughter had more attention. The communication between the center and parents is good. There is an app that gives you a full report at the end of the day of all activities (feedings, naps, diaper changes) and they'll occasionally send pictures. There are also video cameras in the room that you can log into to see what's happening live. We really appreciated this level of transparency. They do lots of good activities with the babies - they go outside every day weather permitting, read together, tummy time. I felt like our daughter's motor skills (such as rolling and sitting up) developed rapidly with their help. They also did some very cute art/painting projects. This location of Kids R Kids is in a nice, new building and has a very convenient parking lot. Pickup and drop-off was always fast and simple. The only reason we left this daycare is because we got a spot at a daycare closer to home. In our original search, Kids R Kids was our number one choice and was right near my husband's office. However, due to Covid, we are both working from home and it saved us a lot of driving to change daycares.

She looks forward to going to "school" everyday and has so much learning and playing. Her social skills have developed since we started her at this daycare 3 months months ago and kiddie Academy gets all the credit! I love that you can stay connected to the school and what's going on through the tadpole app & the watch me grow app! The teachers also take the time at pick up/drop off to talk to you and check in. They truly provide personalized care for your child!
