I had one issue while my child attended, but the director took time from her day to talk with me about, and we were able to come to a resolution quickly. It is usually very difficult to get a spot in this center; most parents who are lucky enough to land a spot never leave.

The facility is clean, with live cameras (sensitive areas blurred), and we get regular updates and photos. It's play-based but also encourages learning, teamwork, and responsibility. I feel confident my daughter is safe, happy, and cared for every day.

The kids love it there and the center follows the Southeast Polk pre-k curriculum to ready the kids for kindergarten. My pre-schoolers had entered kindergarten with a nice base knowledge and received good marks and comments about their academic successes and behavior. The folks at AKW2 helped our family prepare the kids with a nice base as they entered into the school district. I'd recommend AKW2 to anyone who lives or works near Altoona!

They are able to transport to and from elementary school which is so helpful if you are a parent who works past 2:40pm.
