I actually chose a couple of doctors before but ended up canceling both times. Finally, after more searching, I found Dr. Kristina Hobson in Los Gatos. To be honest, when I first walked into her office, I was already looking for an excuse to cancel again. But once I spoke with her, I was really impressed with her knowledge and the way she explained everything, so I decided to keep my appointment. Today was my procedure at Silicon Valley Surgery Center, and I had such a great experience. The facility was clean, calm, and very nice. Every single person I interacted with was wonderful. From the front desk to Barbara, who helped review my paperwork everyone was kind and welcoming. My first nurse, Kay, was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and professional. When she went on break, Nicole took over she was also amazing. I'm not a fan of needles at all, but she did my IV so gently and with so much care. Then Kat, the third nurse, took me to the procedure room she was kind, calm, and very professional. Dr. Michael Block, the anesthesiologist, was excellent. He actually texted me the night before to ask if I wanted to review everything ahead of time or on the day of the procedure, which I really appreciated. We exchanged a few messages, and then he spoke with me again before the procedure and explained everything clearly. He was confident, knowledgeable, and very reassuring. In the procedure room, I fell asleep within seconds and woke up quickly afterward feeling great. Within about 30 minutes, I felt completely fine. I was even able to take calls and respond to emails. And now, about Dr. Hobson ,she is truly a 10 out of 10. Honestly, the entire experience was 10 out of 10. From the office to the surgery center, every single nurse and staff member was exceptional. I'm a very detail-oriented and perfectionist person because of my job, so I don't say this lightly. You all know the drill. Dr. Yang was recommended by my personal therapist, when i was just about to " give up" after going through my insurance, and reaching dead ends. He saw my husband and I on a Friday night, late, and he was worth every penny we paid him for ninety minutes of his time. Dr yang is a "real person", not just a shrink,. He treated both of us like human beings and not "sick people". It was the first time I ever had someone say come on in and bring my spouse in with me right away. His office was not cluttered with magazines or distractions he was on time, attentive, and listened, and had a gift that I cannot explain. His energy and knowledge of the issues and things i had gone through were exceptional. I did not feel like I was sick, and a person who could not get better, but someone who was an equal, and could heal if given respect and understanding, he did not push psychiatric medications, but understood them. and their interactions in the healing process. He instilled hope. I highly recommend him, his ethics, his approach, his style, just everything...... he explained everything to me,( included my spouse in everything), that he was doing and why he was doing it including the signing of each form and release. Considering that some patients have had heart attacks and will start an intense exercise program such testing is critical to establish proper guidelines for the trainers of those people. The diet is mostly vegetables, but significant portions of protein-rich foods, such as meat, poultry, fish, nuts and seeds. Legumes, starches and sugars are not part of the diet. Relaxation is sometimes difficult, especially for people heavily involved in innovative work in Silicon Valley, but it is crucial to success. He works with people to make it all happen. His knowledge of how the body works and how to get it to do what the owner (you!) wants is totally amazing. He takes clients only on a retainer fee basis, so this is not for everyone, just those that really care about their health and vitality.

When I asked about the delays, I was told there are simply too many patients. That response was concerning. It feels like the focus is on taking on more patients rather than properly caring for existing ones. During the one appointment I was able to get (scheduled three months in advance), I felt rushed, as if the priority was moving quickly to the next patient rather than providing thoughtful care.
