I pre-ordered 2 dozen strawberry glazed and a half dozen of chocolate glazed donuts for a Breast Cancer Awareness event and requested that they be ready by 6:00 a.m. When I arrived at 6:10 a.m. (giving a few extra minutes), the order hadn't even been started. In a rush to complete it, the staff quickly put the strawberry donuts together, causing icing to run everywhere in the boxes. By the time I arrived to my destination, the icing had melted because they did not have the chance to set, and the donuts no longer looked pink, which defeated the purpose of having them for a themed event. What made the experience worse was the lack of customer service. There was no apology, just a comment that I'd "only have to wait a few minutes," as if it wasn't a big deal. For a pre-order placed more than a day in advance, that response was disappointing and unprofessional. I expected better care and attention, especially since these donuts were meant to help bring awareness to an important cause. read more

I got a large donut that turned out to be more expensive than I expected: $2.50. Service was fast and the place was clean and easy to park at. I thought I was getting a plain glaze but later when I ate the donut I found that it had cinnamon in it (and a lot of cinnamon). So I was not too happy as I avoid cinnamon. I'm homeless and they wouldn't honor loyalty rewards deal for two free donuts via in app offer. They were unfriendly, rude and repulsive at best. I had to call customer service after trying via the app and online to place the order. They wouldn't help. And they still wouldn't just HONOR THEIR OFFER. As a donut lover I was told to check out Shipleys. Although It's located in a run down industrial area, what's happening on the outside is different than the inside. Their donuts are incredibly fresh and pastry like - almost a flaky consistency. Their fillings are made on the premises. It's not a chemically consistency. You can almost taste the egg within their fillings - these guys are addicting. You can tell they take pride in their donuts. I gave them five stars because every bit of their product had the wow factor. They are a bit small but packed with freshness. read more

OMG, Shipley's hot glazed Do-nuts are SO MUCH BETTER than Krispy Creme. Shipley's are - without a doubt - the best old-school glazed donut we've ever had. Ever, ever, ever. There is a reason this chain has survived since 1936. Their donuts are so good that I'm actually GLAD the closest Shipley to our home in Ohio is 384 miles south in Nashville. If they were any closer I'd weigh 20 pounds more. BEST TIP EVER - the first time we stopped, the "hot donuts" sign was lit, and the glazed were warm fried sugary wonderfulness. The second time we stopped, it was late afternoon and there were no hot glazed donuts. But the young man behind the counter said "there's a microwave over there, and they're just as good warmed up". Went on a donut hunt the last time I was in town. We went to Tasty Cream, Happy Donut, and Shipleys. I don't know if it's just this individual Shipley's or if the chain has gone downhill or if we just went on a bad day, IDK! We went and got a chocolate cake, chocolate iced, glazed, and sausage kolaches. The Sausage Kolache was meh. The chocolate cake my husband took one bit of and tossed it. The chocolate iced he said was okay. I had the glazed donut and they had burnt those poor babies to a crisp and then laid the icing over it while they were way too hot and the icing slipped off. So all the icing was pool down at the bottom of the box. Which if you want just plain ole fried dough then the donuts would be good for you, but I wanted a glazed donut and did not get one. So I was disappointed. Out of the three Shipley's was definitely the worst. read more

They moved to this new location sometime in the last few months. It's squeaky clean! Welcoming tables here too! Not sure if it's just me but the stuff tastes fresher too. This one also has the Frappes that not all Shipley locations have so that's lit! They need expresso shots badly though. How am I supposed to drink a Caramel Latte Frappe with an extra shot? Donuts and Kolache are great though. I pass by Beaumont once a week usually and this is a must stop for me! read more

Great donuts and kolaches BUT they tend to give you whatever donuts they want rather than listening to what you order. Twice in the past week I've asked for strawberry and maple and the donuts are chocolate ‍ learn from my mistake and check your donuts before you leave or go somewhere where they actually listen to your order. read more

Our first time at Shipley Donuts. Let me tell you, these are DELICIOUS donuts! This is a small location and it was pretty popular, lots of customers coming in and out. There is seating inside and a drive thru. The line looked long, but went fast. This location is very clean and the workers were super friendly! We were here at 9:30 am and figured most Donuts would be picked over or sold out. There was plenty of choices to pick from!! If we ever find a Shipley Donuts again, we will be stopping by!
