Went to grab some breakfast while staying down the street at the worst possible hotel ever, Holiday Inn on Walden, and I didn't have super high expectations walking in. However let me say I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the service and quality of the food. My son has a kolache a cheese and chocolate iced doughnut I had the BEC croissant. The bite I took of my sons kolaches was delicious and juicy, the bacon on my sandwich was plentiful and cooked crispy like I like. Great spot fast service thanks for the great breakfast read more

Staff is super sweet and kind. Unfortunately not sure if I went on an off day. I decided on a chocolate bar and small jalapeño cheese kolaches. The donut was super greasy on the bottom , like to the point I just ripped off the whole bottom as to enjoy my donut. The kolache was delicious though! read more

Are the donuts really happy? Not sure, but I know I AM with this fabulous find while visiting Beaumont recently. Their donuts are pillowy perfection and the coffee is great also! I wasn't a fan of the kolache I tried for the first time here, but it was an impulse/curiosity buy so I'll take that one for the team. The staff is friendly and definitely loves their regulars! While making my coffee, I overheard staff asking customers ... "How was your surgery?" "Where's Mary today?" and "You're missing someone, aren't you?" That type of rapport with costumers is always great to see in a small business, or any business for that matter! Happy donuts is the place to be for fresh donuts done right in Beaumont, TX! The Happy Buddha Donut shop at 5780 Dowling has their restrooms locked. But they are "happy" to direct you across four lanes of traffic on Dowling to the gas station. Never mind that the gas station does not sell Donuts. One must assume that the help never washes their hands. They are not exempt under the "to go" rule as they sell sandwiches and have tables and chairs. The Health Department is strictly not interested in hearing about it. So when you show up there, ask where the help in the back washes their hands. read more

I have been meaning to go since they opened but kept forgetting to. We finally went on Monday and now I have been back two more times this week. The donuts are great and the small jalapeño and cheese kolaches are awesome! I like when they actually put jalapeños inside them, not a jalapeño link. It is also super clean and the people working there are very friendly. And the best part is that they do not have a $10 minimum charge for credit/debit cards like donut palace does.
