Had a mystery shutoff of my Dishwasher and a wine fridge outlet about 6' away from it. Checked all GFCI outlets and breakers and could not find the issue. Called Shipley at 5 pm and Service Manager Tom fit us in the very next morning at 7:30 a.m! We went down in the crawl space after some quick diagnostics and Tom found a junction box in the ceiling of the Crawl that had 3 yellow electrical lines coming into it. He took the wire nuts off the ground, positive and negative wires and found that one of the 3 ground wires over the last 20 years had pulled back slightly. He re-connected and went back up to the main fuse panel and kitchen to make sure all was well. I was so impressed he was able to diagnose and resolve this issue so quickly - I NEVER would have found the root cause of this problem. Shipley has worked on several new fixtures and electrical improvements in our home and we find them to be extremely efficient, very responsive and very reasonable. Hired Stewart Ogburn to rewire a house from Shipley. He claimed to be done so I paid him. He wasn't even halfway done. He said he would be finished in two weeks, then a month, then two more weeks. Four months went by and Stewart demanded two thousand more dollars to finish. Deciding not to be extorted I hired someone else to finish the job costing around three thousand more. Stewart refused to return any of the money he fraudulently took. Advice is to hire anybody else. read more

Had Appt set for 8/13/19 they never showed and haven't heard from them. Maybe went out of Business? Voice mail last date 7/23

I waited a month after a failed inspection for them come back and fix their screw up. No communication during this time. I had call the state to get their butts back out to the job. I can't wait until the next recession and these arrogant butt heads go begging for work. read more
