It was time to find a solution so I came to this jeweler to see what my options were. He said that he could put a rhodium coating, which would help create a barrier. The coating generally lasts anywhere between six months to one and a half years depending on how frequently you wash your hands and one's profession. My husband went to pick it up for me and commented how sparkly it was after being professionally cleaned. I've had the ring on for two days so far and have not experienced any skin allergies. (Knocking on wood) Patrick, the owner, is friendly and knowledgeable. He delivered the ring back within the timeframe he estimated. Highly recommend this jeweler for repairs.
