Horrid customer service. Screwed up first order and never replied to messages.

If you want to avoid a terrible experience then stay away from these guys. There's a reason they only have less than 2 stars. They are absolutely horrendous. My experience is that when the shopper messes up, it's not their fault. If you complain and want a refund, they will cancel your subscription cuz they can't hang. Seriously laughable. read more

I would give a lower rating if it was possible. Almost every order I have had placed with them has been a disaster. Problems ahve ranged from missing or incorrect items to delivery to the wrong person. If you're lucky they will issue a credit to your Shipt account to be applied to your next order instead of issuing a refund for the appropriate amount. So, not only do they refuse to refund your money for their mistakes but if you want to see any compensation you are forced to spend even more money with them and pay more service and delivery fees. Their business practice seems unethical if not outright fraudulent. read more

Shipt marks up the prices by 15%. The shopper is not supposed to leave the actual store receipt with the customer because the prices are marked up. The customer service agent admitted the markup is 15% because some customers are poor tippers. read more

Once again I made and order through Shipt which ultimately was never delivered this evening. I placed a grocery order today approximately 4:09 pm. The earliest delivery time they had available was 9 pm so I booked it. Today Shipt texted me at 9:11 pm to tell me they could not deliver today. Now I have to make a run to Safeway so my girls will have a warm lunch tomorrow. This isn't the first time Shipt has failed to deliver. The last time was Monday October 14, also in the evening. This was definitely a mistake to order through these guys. I would definitely not order with Shipt unless you had the luxury of a 48 hour delivery time window. Maybe they will get it together at some point in the future, but as of today they're failing. Update, (12-2-19) I spoke to Shipt on the phone, they promised they would deliver the next day at 7pm, so of course I got a message that said they couldn't make the 7pm delivery so they moved it to a 8-9 window, then they sent a message to say they couldn't make that delivery so they would move it to a 9-10 window, and of course at the end they said they couldn't deliver today, and they would deliver between 9-10 am tomorrow morning. read more

Shipt was great until Erin L delivered. Set the groceries on top of where we had set our keys. We put the groceries up, and thought we misplaced the keys. A couple hours later getting ready to get in bed, remember keys missing... looked outside.... No SUBURBAN in the drive way. We just got done filing police reports at our house. I just had the worst shopper ever! Absolutely NO communication with me. Made substitutions without checking with me. In substitute was a block of cheese that was cut into and dried out. He said they were out of a lot of things but i don't trust him. We are elderly and are dependent on your service for our groceries. We barely got half our order. The bananas he brought are all ripe. He picked the worst looking avocadoes. Other shoppers have recognized these things and called to see if we wanted them. I want a refund for the 2 blocks of cheese he substituted . Horrible customer service! I cancelled my membership and will never use this company for any of my delivery needs. I ordered over $100 of groceries from Target and the Shipt driver delivered my groceries to the wrong address, but they sent me a text stating my ordered had been delivered to me. The driver would not answer my text messages when I was asking her where my order was. Called customer service both at Target and Shipt and they could not get a hold of the driver because she would not answer their calls. I spent several hours on the phone and then finally after 4 hours Target said they would refund my credit card in 5 business days. I have never had such poor customer service in my life and would not recommend Shipt thru Target for delivery service. You will be taking a gamble with your order. read more

Extremely disappointed in shipt customer service and the limited quantity of items available. Every time I have ordered, most of the items I order are never in stock. My last order was missing many items that weren't even on the, "out of stock " list on my receipt. There were also items that I cancelled that they still delivered and I received a couple of items I didn't even order. I have sent 3 messages to customer service and never received a response. They are very unprofessional and do not treat their customers well. Most of the shoppers were wonderful and tried very hard to find my items. I would highly suggest not using shipt. This is my first time using Shipt. I know your workers are slammed but I thought they'd follow directions. Your worker was supposed to call prior to making substitutions and it didn't happen. I gave specific instructions to deliver the groceries up the ramp and ring the doorbell. This didn't happen either. There was no notification whatsoever that the groceries had arrived so they sat in the Florida heat on the front stoop instead of in the shade on the side porch where the groceries were supposed to be delivered. There were items that needed refrigeration as well as Easter candy that melted. I'm sorry this experience was so poor because I'd really hoped to have a shopping service I could depend on. read more

We have been waiting 7 days to get a delivery. Ok understandable with the pandemic. Got a delivery window. 7to8 pm. Then 8to9. Then 9to10 10:10 were not coming. Now no delivery window at this time. Insanely disappointed with my experience. Not only was my shopper very late (forgivable in the current situation) but they did cancellations and substitutions without contacting even once, despite the fact I asked to be contacted. Do you know how even when you put in your card info on a site, it asks for a confirmation before it charges you? Well, Shipt doesn't do that. Not only does it not do that, but it will charge you an annual membership before you even agree to use the service once. During COVID-19 times, I only wanted to find out the chances of being able to have necessities delivered to me. I assumed the site would give me delivery windows, like every single other site out there, not charge my card automatically without my giving consent. Since then, I have spent hours on the phone and on the live chat, and have sent several emails, and have never reached a single person. I have never had a company so blatantly steal from customers like this, and I hope no one else ever even thinks about trusting them even a little bit. read more

I tried Shipt to get groceries while traveling. When I returned, they charged me for an annual service with zero notification/reminder, unlike most subscription services I stay with long term. That was the first negative. When I attempted to open the email that indicated I'd been charged, it was empty - and only had a phone # visible in the heading. I tried the phone # to get a refund, but was on hold for over 30 minutes and it dumped me. I tried using the app but got ZERO response. Then Covid hit and I thought - hey! maybe there are some grocery stores where Shipt provides support. Smiths/Krogers and another local chain were on the list. But as I started to add items to my cart, I got pulled away by my work, and when I opened the app again it crashed if I tried to add more items to the cart. I tried creating a shopping cart in the other store, and had a repeat experience. I then sent through another request for a refund, since the app was impossibly broken. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling. But nope. The app is broken. If I use a shopping service, I'm going to use Instacart - much better app, tech support and the shoppers are awesome! Unfortunately I have no idea if Shipt shoppers are any good because I couldn't get past the app. $99 wasted. Never. Ever. Again! read more

I have been using Shipt in Hawaii for about six months with no problem. All of a sudden it has turned to an unreliable service. Two days in a row my order has been pushed back hour by hour and ultimately canceled by me when I could not wait around for cancelation texts every hour. I call and the customer service seems to take care of the problem, but the Shipt employees in Hawaii apparently don't want to get paid. I tipoffs well every time too. Shame read more

Don't do it folks. They say "24/7 support" but it's -0- support for customers. Not sure what the hours are, and it's not flexible or clear. Not sure who the delivery people are, but they don't know what to do with this company, either. This company does not have enough security features to safeguard your privacy information. Someone from the inside hacked my Shipt account changed the delivery address and contact phone number and ordered nearly $2500 worth of iPads and AirPods from Target. When I tried calling the 24/7 Shipt customer service they did not allow you to speak with a representative the menu options simply recycled and looped. My bank, Wellsfargo said it would take up to 10 days to investigate and credit my money... all ridiculous. Big business protect themselves but they do very little to protect the consumer. Shipt should also do better background check of its Shipt shoppers! read more

I live in Indiana, Marion County. My mother bought their services and the people were very rude to us and we think thats because we're an upstairs apartment. My mother has issues with those stairs, but it was where we wanted to live and yada yada yada. Regardless its their job, I don't care. Their attitude problem was uncalled for, and I remember what made us stop using their services is that they billed us twice once and gave my poor mother such a hard time over it. Shipt is largely disappointing. Every order has something wrong or missing, and it always seems to be the thing I needed most (recipe ingredient, cold medicine, etc.). They claim to contact you if they can't find your item, but never do. They're also regularly late and outside of the hour delivery window. We have one recurring shopper who is not great, and I wish I could request that she no longer take my orders, but I digress. Unfortunately, the unpredictability of Shipt translates into it being a huge disappointment. I purchased a year on promotion but will not renew, and have cut down on the frequency of use significantly since signing up. read more

And even then it was over an hour of the shopper texting me about substitutions, went to the store the next morning to fill the gaps on all the missed items only to find the majority of them. I thought shipt was the greatest thing in earth, as they shop in my favorite store. What I did NOT realize until today, is that you get THREE charges for using them. First, the yearly or one time delivery fee, then of course, the tip for the driver, but today I realized they also MARK UP everything you buy, so it is about 10% more expensive than in the store. I am on this new thing where I am not shopping or spending my money at Walmart anymore. Their customer service as well as everything else is really not great especially with this pandemic. I don't blame the workers there because they are treated crappy and literally aren't paid enough so they really probably don't care to much. Anyways I decided to go with target, it's a little more then I'd normally spend but worth it. I found out they do delivery through Shipt and I was kind of skeptical because I really don't like doing business when there's a third party involved. But this has been amazing!! With having three kids 24/7 and living three stories up it makes it incredibly difficult to do even the simplest things as far as shopping goes. With Shipt I pick the time I want it delivered (which I have noticed the time frame for delivery is normally when the Shipt workers do the shopping so if you need it at 11am choose the 9-10am slot.) it's amazing and so helpful!! I have done this about 4-5 times now, and I have only had issues with communication once, the rest of the Shipt workers have been absolutely amazing though!! One lady asked me if there was anything else I need and I literally broke my last hair the as I got that text, she was super sweet and said "I got it, no problem" I think what she wanted to say was "girl I get it" because she had long thick curly hair anyways Shipt has been a blessing to my life this last few weeks!!! I definitely invest in it for sure! Also with target I've gotten $20 in gift cards just for shopping and doing delivery!! read more

I scheduled with Shipt a delivery for the next day after waiting a full day to find a delivery window. The delivery should have arrived today between 8am and 4pm. At 3:15pm I get a text saying the delivery is delayed and will arrive between 4-5pm. At 4:05pm I get another text saying that the delivery is again delayed and will arrive at 5-6pm. At 5:03pm I get another text saying the delivery will now be arriving between 6-7pm, and then another text saying it will be arriving between 7-8pm. Just before 7pm I get the final text saying my delivery is cancelled (!!!!). Not delayed to tomorrow. Cancelled!!! Now I have to find, again, a delivery window, make the order and hope for the best. This is RIDICULOUS. And the cherry on top of this horrible service is that I'm now waiting an hour and a half on the phone to talk to their costumer service department!!! I have an 8 month old at home, we have to be quarantined and I have no idea what he is going to eat tomorrow. read more

I've been using Shipt for the last two months and am very satisfied with their service. They shop at my preferred location and the delivery people have been pleasant and helpful. I order early, choose a reasonable hour in order for somebody to pick it up without rushing, and they've always been on time. I appreciate that they are willing to haul cases of water and 20 lb. bags of raw peanuts into our garage. I would give them five stars but, a couple of the delivery ladies could do a much better job of bagging the groceries. Please don't put the more delicate items in the bottom of the bag! There are times when I absolutely can't go shopping myself so, this has been a godsend. I had previously used the services of their competitor and it was simply awful, including their customer service agents. I signed up for Shipt and cancelled my subscription within hours of signing up, never having used the service. My review is about Customer Service. I was charged the monthly subscription price the next month after cancelling. I called Shipt after many unsuccessful attempts at contacting them via chat, sending messages thru their website. I understand things are crazy, and this is addressed on their website, saying that it might be up to 10 days before I heard from them. Well it's been two months and I have not heard a peep from them. When trying to online chat, chat would always time out before being put in contact with anyone. Finally I reached them by phone, after being on hold for 70 minutes and was told it was the bank's problem. I had received one refund, but the other didn't show up. I received two emails saying I'd been refunded both months. I must add that the rep was very eager to get me off the phone. She did not express any kind of concern, but to just call my bank. I did, and the bank says that the Shipt refund hasn't processed on Shipt's end. Now I'm trying to get a hold of Shipt again and I highly doubt I will ever see my refund. I wish I had looked at reviews before signing up and it's rather distressing the HEB - the huge Texas grocery store who uses Shipt - is partnering with Shipt. Shipt is a sucky grocery delivery service. I have had so much problem. I believe the company is base out of Alabama. I been ordering grocery since my accident this past November 2019. I try so many different online groceries service and had no problem with other company. I had place order the night before for like close to 100.00 worth grocery. The arrival time for my grocery was suppose to be between 12-1pm and then they change from between 2-3pm, and they change it from changed to 9pm at night. At that point was pissed. And the told to call the head if 9pm is not convenient call to cancel. I could not get a hold of this boges company. Each time they cancel my order they did it through text. I got on one of there text and I told them how stupid and ridiculous they are with the time changes. And also they want you to take out a 99.00 a year membership. I had that cancel too. Who ever reading this review please don't order any grocery from this company it is not a legit company.
