Knowing full well that post-covid the need for mental health professionals was on the rise and therapists were booked to the brim there was Mehry who was different than the rest! She reached out to me in a timely manner after I inquired if she could take new patients, that was around June '22. Here I am nearly two and a half years later continuously seeing her and attending weekly sessions. I can not emphasize or state enough just how much of a difference she's made in my journey. She's very attentive, caring, empathetic amongst her many other qualities not only as a doctor, but as a human being first and foremost. As she's told me, verty humbly albeit, you don't need to give me credit for having made progress in your mental health journey, I'm just here to guide you. Even if the role of the therapist is to guide you to find the answers to your issues and have you fix them yourself, there's no doubt that Mehry being the doctor allowed me the space to open up, be vulnerable, have the faith in her as a professional and most importantly in myself that I can move forward. There's no doubt that having Mehry along for that journey was a big help. The fact she allows for MediCal patient to see her shows how much care for people from all walks of life she has. I mean, words cannot express my gratitude for her very existence, help, and for being my doctor. Mehry's care and approach towards her patients is one of genuinity. Please be rest assured that you can trust her on your potential journey with her. In a field that sometimes people may not have the most ideal experiences, I want to show that with a healthy set of realistic goals and expectations you will be surprised just how much Mehry is a star of her field. Thanks for being my doctor, thank you for allowing me to be a patient when it felt I couldn't find anyone else, that is a feeling I will not forget and carry with me throughout my life. I will always be grateful for everything she's done, I can not say it enough, if you are looking for a doctor, give Mehry a chance!

He helped me achieve my mental health goals with what felt like small, achievable steps. Through weekly meetings, I reached a point of stability that I had never before experienced. I had grown emotionally strong in every aspect of my life, and had broken free from my previous weaknesses. He helped me experience happiness in areas of my life that I didn't even know there was happiness, and this set him above the other therapists I'd seen. Having a skilled, well-educated, and experienced…read morepsychiatrist is truly a blessing, especially if you come from an ethnic background and need a provider who understands both your culture and the unique challenges that can come with it. I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Vahidi. He is an exceptional listener who is never judgmental, and he takes the time to fully understand my concerns before discussing the available treatment options with me. In less than a year, I have seen tremendous improvements in my mental health. What I appreciate most is that he never pushes unnecessary medication. Instead, his recommendations are always evidence-based and thoughtfully tailored to my individual needs. After seeing several psychiatric providers over the years, I can confidently say that he is one of the top two psychiatrists I have ever had. Although he is the first male psychiatrist I have seen, his professionalism, compassion, and nonjudgmental approach made me feel completely at ease discussing my mental health challenges. He also gave me information about valuable resources to support my overall mental health. I highly recommend Dr. Vahidi to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, compassionate, and culturally sensitive psychiatrist. He has made a truly meaningful difference in my life, and I am deeply grateful for his care.

This review is based on a single appointment I had on January 22, 2026, with one practitioner--not…read morethe facility as a whole. I was referred to Harbor Psychiatry & Mental Health by my primary care provider for medication management. These medications are not optional--they are critical for my daily functioning, including managing depression, mood stabilization, and ADHD. I was assigned to Krista Ribota for a 45-minute telehealth assessment, and it was honestly one of the most distressing and upsetting medical experiences I've ever had. From the beginning, Krista was cold, dismissive, and visibly impatient. There was no warmth, no effort to make me feel comfortable, and no sense that she cared about me as a patient. I understand these assessments may be routine for her, but the way she conducted it felt robotic and completely lacking in empathy. Krista asked very personal and invasive questions, which I expected--but the way she asked them felt abrupt, harsh, and without any compassion. The interaction became so overwhelming that I started crying during the appointment. Instead of responding with any concern or basic human decency, she said: "What are you getting so upset over, why are you crying?" That response alone was shocking and made an already vulnerable situation feel humiliating. She should be terminated based off of this alone. At the end of the appointment, Krista told me she would not prescribe or adjust any of my medications. I then asked if she could at least continue my current prescriptions so I wouldn't miss doses, and Krista refused that as well--despite knowing these medications are essential for managing my mental health. Regarding my ADHD medication, Krista insisted I come in for a brain wave test. When I asked simple, reasonable questions--what the purpose of the test was, what it involved, and why it was necessary--she told me she didn't have any more information and that I "just needed to come in and do it." No explanation, no education, nothing. The appointment ended with no help, no prescriptions, and no clear plan. Krista told me she would follow up after speaking with a doctor. She never did. I received no call, no email, no message--nothing. Being left hanging like that, especially after she knew how important these medications are for my stability, was incredibly irresponsible and unprofessional. This experience was not just disappointing--it was genuinely distressing. No patient seeking mental health care should be treated with that level of disregard, lack of compassion, and poor communication. Krista Ribota should be terminated based on this appointment & her behavior. Please advocate for yourself if you seek care here. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this provider. Do NOT work with Krista Ribota

Therapy can be hard to go to, due to shame or the stigma around mental health. It's so often…read moresomething that is talked about in hushed tones. For a very long time, I was told I didn't need therapy because "I had a good life", but only you can make that determination for yourself. It's important that the motivation to come to therapy comes from you, as it creates a willingness to be more open about receiving feedback and the work you do in the therapy setting. In the time that I've been working with him, Johnathon has helped me work through difficult experiences and the way I view myself. When you've spent so much time around people that try to define who you are and what you should be, a more neutral perspective is welcoming. It's extremely profound for my feelings to be validated. Letting ourselves feel emotion instead of suppressing it is vital to moving towards better mental health, and Johnathon created a safe environment to do so, despite my own desire to "get back to normal" or feel a more positive emotion quicker. Sometimes, therapy can feel rigid or impersonal, but sessions with him feel very different from that. Johnathon gets to truly know the way his clients think and feel, and that is signficant. When you're in a session, it feels welcoming and open. You're allotted a moment to orient yourself in the space instead of feeling pressured to come up with a topic of conversation immediately. This is truly client-focused therapy, which is significantly different from previous therapists I've seen, who have a different approach of asking many questions upon their client's arrival. That may work for some, and it can be helpful, but to be put in the position of coming up with my own topics for each session, it helps me determine what is truly important, and what speaks to me the most on any given day. Priorities can change, and that's perfectly okay. Therapy can also take a financial toll if it's outside of one's budget, and I applaud Johnathon for working with me on pricing. The cost of living has gone up significantly for many of us, so being able to afford therapy and come to a compromise on the pricing made it easier to make the commitment to better myself. If you're looking for a remarkable therapist, look no further than Dr Johnathon Neda.

When I called Dr. Neda, I didn't know what to expect but when I started to work with him, I realize that he is very caring, and empathetic, and has a lot of experience. I feel that he has a human perspective where he looks at every individual as a human being and not someone that is treated and is expected to go home, but he has that intention of really helping. I feel that my journey and therapy has started, but it's been something where I have been discovering a lot about myself and I feel that he has really helped me do that.
