He has the ideal demeanor for a pediatrician: he's kind, reassuring, thorough, and most importantly, the man truly cares about his patients and their families. I only stopped seeing him because we moved to the East Bay when I was 11, but my Dad and Dr. Kaye would exchange postcards about once a year or so. (Fun fact about the man: he collects old post cards of Palo Alto, or at least he did 20 years ago.)

He personally returns calls when there's an issue and he makes sure you are seen and heard. Many women have an issue with a male gynecologist, but I've had women doctors be the most dismissive of my concerns. Most recently I asked for extra testing for my own personal peace of mind and he heard me out, not dismissing my fears. For every decision I've had to make, he guided me through it with care and patience. If and when Dr Weber retired, I'll shed a tear, because his style of patient care is extremely rare and he will be sorely missed. Do not think twice about seeing him, he's one of a kind. She provides detailed instructions, which makes it very easy for me to follow. She (or her awesome nurse Rhea) always follows up very promptly with test results or if I have a question. I went to see Dr. Matsumoto and his team in March of this year. It was an annual physical, but it…read morewas billed as both an annual physical and a regular office visit, so I had to pay a significant amount even though annual physicals are free with my insurance. Dr. Matsumoto was also running extremely late (I was in the room, freezing in that gown, for 30 mins) and we had a short appointment. I learned from my insurance company that as soon as you mention that *anything* is not 100% normal (e.g. "oh, my knees hurt sometimes") during an annual physical, doctors are allowed to report that the visit is now "more than a physical" and bill you for it (and they get paid more too!). I have never had a doctor do this to me, but Dr. Matsumoto did. Even the insurance company agreed that it was done in poor taste. Later, I found out that Dr. Matsumoto had ordered tests that we *explicitly* talked about not needing. I wanted to get a stool sample done for colon cancer as it runs in my family. The doctor and I talked about how I did *not* need to get tested for Giardia, Salmonella, or E. Coli due to my lifestyle (no camping, no unfiltered water, no meat, etc.). To my surprise, I was later billed for all these other tests. I tried to resolve this with the Palo Alto Medical Foundation and Dr. Matsumoto himself over several months, and they refused to help. They charged me $240 for the "free" annual physical and $370 for these tests I did not want. On top of that, the entire time I was trying to get this situation fixed, Palo Alto Medical Foundation would not stop harassing me. They sent paper bills and e-communication constantly. My insurance company said that during disputes, the providers are not supposed to harass their patients for payment, but they did. 0 stars for both Dr. Matsumoto and Palo Alto Medical Foundation. I will not be returning to either the provider or the network.

I had to visit her since she was the only dr with whom I got an appointment for an annual health exam since my regular pcp was on maternity leave. She missed out giving orders for several important blood work and kept arguing that it is not needed. What is the point if I as the patient have to run behind the doctor to get the needed tests done. To top it off, I had not got an annual done for around 2 years. I even messaged her via pamf online and called her a couple of times to get the referrals in. Her attitude is very careless. I found her to be incompetent and overconfident. Stay away from this doc for your own peace of mind! I found the nurse practitioner who helped me out to be much more competent and capable - she had the analytical ability to tie things together and help me out.
