Awesome catfish with all the fixins. We took a road trip to try it out and we are glad we did. It was some of the best fish, coleslaw, and hush puppies we've had. The fresh cut fries were great too. Our server, Renee, was great. She stayed on top of drinks and made us feel at home. This is a great little place out in the middle of nowhere. We all ordered fish filet plates. The fish was fried perfectly-light dusting of fry meal, crunchy on the ends and moist/flaky in the middle. The greens and coleslaw were delicious & my daughter & her friend agreed that the hushpuppies and thick cut fries were the best they've had. I also liked their tartar sauce. Our waitress was knowledgeable when it came to the different menu items, she was friendly and attentive and she kept our tea glasses full. Prices are very reasonable. Don't let the 4 stars discourage you. I don't rate anything less than a high-end, white table cloth restaurant in a big metropolitan city as a 5 star. That being said, if you're looking for a really neat, off-the-beaten-path restaurant with excellent food, this is one you should consider! It's truly, in the middle of nowhere, but that's what made it fun for us. Others have commented that their steaks are really good, but we all had catfish (it IS, after all, a fish house....) The catfish was REALLY good (along with everything else), but the hushpuppies were the best I've ever had. Enough "nibbling" food is offered that you might even be full before your entree arrives, but one thing for sure, you will NOT leave hungry! The owners are VERY friendly, and we plan to visit this place often. Highly recommend! read more

I end up going to shivers every time I visit my in laws... It's a nice little country type restaurant .. With a family feel .. My last visit I had all u can eat catfish... It was very good as usual.. However I did note... I thought it was priced a bit high.. I probably ate 8 small filets...and fries.. I think it was 16.00 for the meal. read more

Great place for fish. They have an all you can eat but they bring you so many complimentary appetizers that the all you can eat turns into a 2 piece fish. I have actually been full before my meal got there. Haha. They serve cole slaw, hush puppies, and greens right when you sit down it is awesome and great for the kids too. I like the pickles and fried green tomatoes and blooming onions for appetizers also. The blackened catfish is probably my favorite thing here. Or maybe the whole fried catfish. Hmmm. I got a SEVEN PIECE catfish, 2 sides (SQUASH DRESSING and the most amazing Cole slaw I've ever had) and a handful of amazing bites of the clouds that hang over Heaven (they called them hush puppies but these couldn't have been hush puppies, I've had those before) for an amazing price. 10/10 would definitely recommend! read more

When you are seated, you are, almost instantly, served a small "pot" of delicious turnip greens, hushpuppies, and slaw. All three are very good. We ate the fried catfish which is crispy and so-o-o-o good. They serve an appetizer that is called fish bait, served with ranch dressing. We were not "crazy" about these, but they were very different. The service is outstanding. There is a continuous refilling of your beverage glass, more hushpuppies if needed, etc. We will go again. read more

The plated catfish came with 6 fillets, potato of choice (fries, baked potato, sweet potato, potato cakes) and all the hushpuppes, turnip greens and cole slaw you wanted. Our drinks were continually refilled. This was our first visit but we will be going back. read more
