First of all, you should get your facts straight before coming on and arguing with a client. Yes, I was told I would have a consultation done. When I arrived, however, I was told no one was available to do the consultation and that I would need to schedule to come back. So in other words, I was not seen at all despite making an appointment. I'm so glad I never returned. Clearly your customer service speaks for itself. Update: I'm not sure where you're misunderstanding. I made an appointment for a consultation. I was aware of this. However, when I arrived the receptionist told me there was no one available to do my consultation and that I would have to come back. So then why did I have an appointment for a consultation? I did not get seen at all. I wouldn't have taken time off from work and drove all the way there if I knew the consultation wasn't going to happen. Instead of immediately jumping to the defense, maybe try hearing someone out first. An apology goes a long way. I was in terrible neck pain and went in to get a consultation. They took 2 hours before seeing me because they "didn't know" I was there for a consultation even after telling them that's what I was there for. Anyway I was brought in and was recommended immediate treatment. It was rushed and little assessment of my back and neck was done. I left the place worse than when I got there. I felt like passing out. I had another chiropractor do a house call the next day because I was miserable. He said the "adjustment" the doctor did was wrong and everything was out of place. Once he worked on me the pain left within hours and I feel so much better. Please do your research before going to any chiropractor!!! read more

Receiving treatment from Dr. Shoar and his amazing staff Jayleen, Maria, and the office manager was amazing. Together, they create a very relaxing ambiance which is essential for quality care. Also, Dr. Shoar was able to relieve my pain from my wrist even after an emergency room visit diagnosing me with a sprain did not help. I wore a splint for about 2 weeks and my pain returned. I went to see Dr. Shoar and he evaluated my wrist and treated it within 5 minutes. He treated it twice within a week and I am pain free from my wrist now. This is because of Dr. Shoar. I so wanted to love this place because of the reviews. I called to schedule an appointment and was told that my insurance needed to be verified first. I gave my information and waited a week and not a call back. I called again and got it verified, and was able to get appointment the same day. I didn't feel comfortable that I was talking to the doctor about my condition and other patients were passing in front of us like nothing. The doctor said that if I followed his plan I would be a new person in 6 months. He gave me a ton of information and stated that he would email me everything to follow. I agreed to the first treatment which cost $100 out of pocket. He placed me on a massage machine while he was working with another patient at arms length. Then he put me in a cubical with little privacy to work on my back. How can you relax when you hear people talking in the waiting area and office staff. Then I was placed in another room with a heat lamp that almost burned my neck, it was too close to my skin. After the Doctor gave me an adjustment and called it a day.So a week went by and I called the office again to remind them that I was still waiting for the information via email promised. They said oh yes, the doctor will send it ASAP. What I received were a couple of text with YouTube videos attached of information I already knew. I am very grateful to Dr. Shoar, I arrived with pain in my left knee, it was difficult for me to walk, the Dr. Found me the problem on the second visit he put me infrared light after that the pain disappeared he has an appropriate equipment. UPDATE - 12/9/21: Since my last review, I went to Dr. Shoar for an additional 10 sessions to fix 4 problems and 1 problem was fixed over a bit more time. Then, in the year and 5 months following, I went for 12 more as needed but just some here, a few there, etc. Each time the Doc has helped me with my pain and issues and I felt better after the course of treatment he recommended! People I've referred, my family, including a Covid long hauler, and a coworker, have also benefitted from his help! Not only are the sessions of therapy and adjustments great, but he's also helped with vitamin supplement suggestions! Collectively we've gotten help with pain, range of motion, reduced inflamation, strength, energy, endurance, a spinal disorder, Bell's Palsy, work and past injury, concentration, bodily function, mood, and joint and immune system support! People I shared the info with and I also benefitted from his recommendations for using probiotics to balance the good and bad bacteria in our stomachs, which resulted in more energy and, for me, in part, bouncing back from food poisoning earlier this year where for weeks I was very tired and had equalibrium problems no matter how much I slept or how well I ate, but in just a few days I saw good results and in 6 or 7 days I bounced back. I've kept up my probiotics almost every day since then! He also helped me with dehydration issues working in the heat: bananas and 100% Pure Cranberry Juice in addition to water and it helped significantly! He's said things like "if you get hurt again, come back and we'll fix you", and he and his team does! He cares about his patients . He also used to treat professional soccer players and has helped people with uncommon issues that other doctors were scared to treat. Additionally, he's continued his education with seminars and the latest science. Oh, and this isn't a "crack factory" where he sees you for 15 mins, gives you a couple adjustments and sends you on your way, no, he includes multiple therapies to make sure you get excellent results! For example, depending on the issue, I've been treated with electric stim, ultrasound, hot packs, massage bed, traction, dyathermy, infared, exercises, stretches, icy-hot type spray and maybe more I can't think of off the top of my head right now! Last but not least, he has a GREAT team supporting him who are collectively kind, professional, treat patients well, make efforts to help people feel better and happy with their visits. The ones I've seen most often lately are: Crystal, who does a great job handling the office management, medical billing, front desk, certain therapies, is a "jack-of-all-trades", has an "I'll do my best" attitude, and is great comic-relief, haha !, and Abby, who does a great job helping with therapies, the front desk, etc.! In summary? I recommend you visit Dr. Shoar and his team for high quality chiropractic care, therapy, and vitamin supplement advice! I have been suffering from chronic sciatica pain for the past 15 years of my life and I have been taking pain pills for a long time. I have also had traditional methods of treatments under the supervision of medical doctors and sports coaches with little or no result. With great deal of pain in my hips, low back and shooting pain in my legs and in a desperate need of help, I went to Dr. Shaar's office. He asked me a lot of questions about my health history and my condition and did a comprehensive examination of my back. His diagnosis was different from all other providers that I saw prior to him. After only three sessions of occupational therapy with Dr Shoar my pain level and frequency of pain were lowered to little or none and my mobility greatly increased. He also gave me home exercises to help. It was an unbelievable thing for me that other providers were unable to diagnose me correctly. I go to his satellite office in Dos Vientos. I was hardly able to walk upstairs due to being misaligned and having sciatica. I was able to hike and walk again, almost good as new. I am so thankful to find this place. I have suffered from sciatica pain and could not get out of bed for 2 months and sadly had to get an epidermal. My daughter found Dr. Shoar and he accepted my insurance. His office staff was so prompt in checking my insurance and getting me into the office within a few hours. I got in to a really bad Car accident on the 3rd of December that left me with a slipped disc in my back and a stiff neck. I was unable to walk properly or even move my neck. I play softball so I was looking for the best possibly way to get back to playing. My coworker let me know about Dr. Shoar and how amazing he is. So I thought I couldn't go I just totaled my car and no way I could afford it, then she let me know that he takes my insurance and I should go and see. So I did and found out he takes most insurance and that I was covered. Now I go 3 times a week and within the first two week of going I was able to move my neck and back 10x what I could before. I went to another chiropractor before and they charged me so much and it didn't even really help! I'm truly satisfied with Dr. Shoar and even recommend to my mom to go there.
