PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS FOR THIS COMPANY BEFORE YOU CONSIDER USING THEM!!!!!! I am amazed that this company has been around for as long as they have!! I have NEVER encountered such ridiculous and horrible customer service in my life!!! We had them install a filtration system for our in ground pool and immediately encountered problems with the system. Any time we would call to ask for help we were told, by Candace, that Doug would be getting a hold of us to schedule services or repairs. He would never call and then when we would reach out again we would be told that he was out sick, or unavailable for one reason or another. I finally went down to the store to talk to Doug and he, of course, was not available because he was sick. So I got his direct number and continued to get the run around from him. At least at this point I could be sure it was due to HIS poor communication and it was not the fault of his employees. We waited a whole year. YES. A WHOLE YEAR. For a repair on the system and even then he would have to come back after not bringing the right tools or supplies for the job. That happened multiple times and we would only get to speak with him in person after our security cameras would alert us there was someone on our property because he would never let us know when he was coming or going.I can only assume he snuck around like that to avoid answering any questions we had face to face. Finally, the repair was done righas it was time to close the pool so we were not even able to make sure the repair was done correctly since we couldn't run the pump to make sure. We used them one last time to close the pool. After all of this we find that they ruined the pool liner when they closed the pool!!!! I wanted to go down to the store to ask how this happened and guess what?! They don't have a store anymore. I figured that was the end of them, but I did hear from someone that they are still in business they just closed the store which is why I'm submitting this review. Before I begin - AVOID this pool company. I have used them a total of three times, for three different issues, and each time was disappointed. I'll keep each experience short. Last year I had Shocker Pools replace our pool grids. They brought the wrong size grids and had to return, left a mess in my yard and patio, and then all was good. I let the filter error and mess left behind go and enjoyed the pool. At the end of the summer I had a different company close the pool (you'll see why during the next interaction below) and to find out the grids Shocker Pools had installed were installed incorrectly. The new company had to remove the grids, adjust, and place it back. Before I had found out about the incorrect grids install I called Shocker Pools to check on a leak. Shocker Pools did nothing but walk around the pool, mumble to one another, check the pool room, and then say they could do nothing for me BUT for $50,000 to 60,000 they could redo the entire pool and they would send over an estimate. Never heard from them again. A separate pool company said the pool, while older, is fine and they would help find the leak and with some possible repairs it would be fine (not a complete remodel). Shocker Pools did not even attempt to find the leak or come up with an alternative solution, but of course they would take $50,000 to 60,000 from me. I was done with them, but we had to use them again when we had warranty work done. They missed the first two appointments. I must mention it was us, the customer, calling Shocker Pools, not Shocker Pools calling us to let us know they would not make it (they always had an excuse...always a reason). They finally arrived. My wife handled the majority of this entire interaction but I went out during the second visit of the day and met the one employee they sent. After he was basically mumbling and not talking to me in complete sentences my wife went out to speak to him. He treated her equally bad and it takes A LOT for her to feel that way. Extremely RUDE employee...by far the worst experience we have ever had with a company that comes into our home to work. We don't know his name, but he did have a pointed lip piercing. Obvious anger and temper issues (and he was at our home mind you), very rude with absolutely no customer service skills, would not answer some questions and when he did they were short and negative and he was visibly pissed at something. One time I asked him a question when I was about a foot away from him three times in a row and he ignored me. Wow! In addition, he opened our skimmer and there was a spider in it. He actually told my wife he refused to put his hand in the skimmer due to the spider and she offered to do it for him. Keep in mind, most pools are outside and spiders live outside and he works with pools. I don't even know how to react to this. You can only laugh because it felt like he was looking for a confrontation with us. I cannot believe Shocker Pools would send someone like this into a customer's home. I want to add that all the employees my wife and I dealt with (in all instances) were polite with the exception of the one mentioned above. As I stated in the beginning, avoid Shocker Pools if possible. We found them to be unreliable and unorganized and after the last experience concerned about whom they invite to our home. We trust Shocker Pools will be sure this person avoids our home after posting this review due to Privacy Act laws. read more

We had Shocker pools install a liner for us 2.8 years ago. Doug said if we had any wrinkles he would be sure and fix them. We've called 5 times and even had them close our pool twice and still not fixed. It's so bad it reminds you of wrinkled foil. You don't even want to walk on it. We've had 4 liners installed over the years and never had this issue. My brother in law had some concrete work done and they came out and removed the cover. My brother in law took a picture while it was open. He opened it back up later on and there was a big torn boot print in the liner. They blamed the damage on a brittle liner and refused to repair it. They did offer a discount for a new liner but they should have repaired it at no charge. I would be very wary before hiring this company. Next chapter, Shocker Pools got back to us by email and told us the wrinkles were due to improper chemicals. We've had 4 liners installed, owned our pool for 29 years and have never had hardly any wrinkles. Had another company look at it and they said it's impossible to tell the exact cause but if Shocker pools would have come out when called the first 2 times they could have corrected the problem. Now it's too late. Also, when they closed the pool last fall it was done much differently than ever before. The motor was completely disengaged from the equipment and when we tried to hook it back up the motor went out. Just installed a new motor. Also, the pool is full of Algae, never had Algae in 29 years. Also, no pool ball as there always was in years past. read more

Horrible customer service. They never answer calls. No communication whatsoever and are supposed to be open from 1pm-5pm and the store is never open. Did not start the dig on time even after I was given 3 different dates for them to start. Now that it is started I have been sitting with a hole in my yard for 2 weeks waiting on someone to show up and have heard nothing from them when I was told start to finish would be 2.5-3 weeks tops. Shocker replaced my heater. They showed up unannounced without an appointment. Since we both work they were fortunate to find someone home. They installed the new heater so close to the chlorine dispenser that I was unable to open the control door. I had to remove the cap and pull out on the dispenser to get the room to open it. Now I can't close it. I emailed pictures and expected a manager to contact me. It never happened. Poor workmanship, poor customer service. I also had them bid a new liner, repair to the in floor cleaning system and it was my intention to have them convert to salt water. Their poor workmanship and poor customer service is costing them these other repairs. read more

Ordered a liner from them for an above ground pool and realized it was the wrong size. Needed to order one a bit bigger and was given the run around for days. After talking to my wife about a restocking fee, "Candice" called me two days later and just said "we have a no return policy" and hung up. Didn't care that I needed to order a new liner, and ignored all three of my requests to have "Doug", the owner, call me apparently as I left a business card with them and have called asking for him multiple times. Went into location to obtain material to help educate ourselves on what decision we needed to consider to have an in ground pool built. They were not willing to help us. Staff acted like I wanted to go dig me a hole right then. Very frustrated. read more

They built us a pool and we were their first customer. The pool lining broke heater broke and the filters broke. When we brought out a repairman from a different company he said that it could be because it was built irresponsibly in the winter. We sued them for just a working pool heater because they had tried to fix ours 3 times, charging 100s of dollars per visit. Eventually we got our heater, but they are the worst pool company out there read more

Avoid this company at all costs. They will not do what they say. They will blame you for every problem. They built our pool, took them far longer than any other pool company. Most of the work they hired out. The Electrican left out a screw on the electric panel and I almost electrocuted myself. Sure enough Dylan tried to blame me. Said it must if been a lightning strike!
