In the past, the doctor really seemed to care if you were in pain or not. A year ago, I returned to…read morethis doctor regarding an implant he had previously done years before. The implant began to bleed upon cleaning, so the doctor related that he needed to lay the gum back so it could be cleaned. After the healing process was completed with the cleaning; a lot of the gum was missing from the implant and the metal could be seen from the implant. The tooth with a crown in front of the implant was also missing gum as well. When pointing this out to the doctor several times, he did send me to a gum specialist to have a gum tissue graft on the tooth with the crown in front of the implant. The specialist did not want to do anything to the gum around the implant. However, the implant was still without gum and metal was still showing. The gum stayed sore so he sent me back to the gum specialist who I went to before and he dismissed me and said no one could see it because the tooth was in the back. Because this would be a favor to the doctor, I do not think the specialist wanted to deal with it. To this day, the gum remains sore and I cannot eat on that side of my mouth. What once used to be a comfortable tooth to chew with and a nice appearing gum line is now gone and there is ugly metal showing and to fix it has been estimated at thousands of dollars. Sadly, I am left with this problem and will have to pay out of my own pocket to fix it or try to live with the pain. I e-mailed the doctor but never heard back from him.

They make sure to explain every step of the process with everything that I get done & also offer numbing gel that helps ease any nervousness. The hygienists were fantastic too, providing tips to help us maintain healthy habits at home. The in-room TVs are nice because you can pick what to watch and they offer headphones. The chairs are beyond comfortable, offering built-in massagers and heat warmers--perfect for a relaxing touch! For the colder months, they even have cozy throw blankets, which truly made the experience feel luxurious. One of my favorite details is the open windows in the treatment rooms. The natural light and the view of the bird feeders outside add a calming, peaceful vibe that's unlike any other dental office I visited. Extremely grateful for an amazing staff that is passionate about what they do while also being in a comfortable environment.

(He found a very small particle that had worked itself between my nerve and my tooth, and by utilizing air pressure and careful probing, he dislodged the particle. Dr. Matilsky is very meticulous and careful when deciding upon a diagnosis and a course of action. He is conservative and will only drill, or begin treatment that is invasive when it is necessary. I drive a very long distance in order to obtain Dr. Matilsky's services, and he is a true professional in every aspect. In addition, the office staff, led by Debbie Matilsky is very professional and very accommodating, with the long term health of your entire person taken into account. He is very respected by his peers (from one referral he helped me with) and I would highly recommend him without reservation.

I initially went to see Dr Lauren on an emergency basis when a tooth broke (under a crown). I wanted to write up this review bc my experience was as positive as it could be considering the circumstances. - I had a very short wait both visits. - Dr Lauren and her staff were very patient and sensitive to my dental anxiety. - Dr Lauren and her staff dealt with (or helped deal with) multiple issues with my insurance, helping me find and schedule an appointment with an oral surgeon. - Dr Lauren proposed a reasonable treatment plan - I didn't feel like I was being up-sold, or that unnecessary treatments were suggested. Note: I am not the easiest patient; I've had a lot of procedures with minimal/no anesthesia because local anesthesia doesn't work well on me. I've also had a lot of issues related to overcrowding (21 teeth extracted, including baby teeth). I had already been to two different dentists in Lake City that were not a fit. I am very grateful to have found Dr. Lauren.
