Saturday morning we headed to the Springfield Famous Footwear, and as soon as my husband mentioned my plantar fasciitis, Leslie was called over to assist us. She was an absolute wealth of knowledge in terms of some steps I could take to help alleviate the pain. Leslie knew just which shoes would help me the most, determining what I would need from my foot shape (high arches and in-step). She got me a great pair of sneakers, a pair of sandals, some insoles, and even some socks that were better than what I had! It may have been a somewhat pricey trip to the store (my husband and daughter got new sneakers too), but at the end of the day on Saturday none of us felt like our feet were killing us, which made it totally worth it!!

It's a fact my feet are so wide that I normally get my sneakers in the men's section at Academy because the women's wide with shoes are just not wide enough. For some reason they give them in more room in the tow box I guess because their toes are bigger? LOL! I found so many cute shoes and all were buy one get one half off. The clearance section also had an abundance of options so I walked out with three gorgeous new pair of athletic shoes and I couldn't be happier with the value and the selection. Customer service was also top-notch and the cashier let me know by signing up for emails I would get an additional 10% off!! Bonus!! I also will give customer service bonus points because there was a sign on the front door saying that the restroom was out of order. They were having 50% off wi yer clothes and shoes. I left with 2 coats, 4 pairs of shoes, leather pants, two sweaters and two belts. There clothes are so nice and very reasonable. I stayed two hours and found lovely things. The employees (all volunteers) were delightful and very helpful. I'll be back next time I am in Springfield!
