I'm so torn. I normally have a great experience with Shoe Repair. Kim, the owner, is super kind; but because she's short staffed her jobs take a long time. They advertise same day repairs, but they usually take weeks. Kim replaced the rubber heel on my boot to avoid click clacking - nice job - only thing is that the rubber didn't match the original tan that the shoe came with (but still matches and functional). She even replaced the rubber heel on vintage Ferragamo heels. I can tell that she even buffed the shoe to give it luster. Her prices are kind of high considering that the jobs usually take 1-2 weeks. But typically she does a nice job on quick fixes. read more

I needed a zipper on my leather motorcycle coat. She said it would take some time to get to. That was ok because I would not need it until this fall. She sent a text when it was finished. I've seen the complaints on the reviews. I do not agree with them. I was always taught to respect business places. And to use sugar instead of vinegar. read more

I am diabetic and one leg is shorter than the other. I took a $200 pair of shoes for them to add a lift. Paid $90 for them to put a brown sole attached to black sole on the shoe. I have had this type of work done by a repair shop on Millbranch, in Southaven for half the price. You cannot tell where the lift is added. Polite, priced well, and fast work. Conversation while waiting was nice and the cobbler went above and beyond to not only do the work I've requested, but also fill in scuffs and shine them up for me. Extremely disappointed shoes were not ready on day promised. Was told it was because the guy decided not to come in today. An unapologetic sorry was issued. Give another chance, but I'm wearing broken shoes and was desperately awaiting the return of some shoes without holes. Huge disappointment. Wish they would have been proactive and maybe called me instead of letting me stop in and find out. Updated: Didn't have time to stop by the next day, so I came back the morning after, show up and she tells me that he is putting the soles on them right now. I wore tennis shoes to the store with my dress pants because I assume they HAD to be done. I ask how much longer, she said a couple hours (with coldness in her voice). Should not give 1 star, very rude customer service. My husband took a leather holster in for repair. When he picked it up he could not tell anything had been done other than glue. When he questioned the girl she snapped "I sewed that with my own hands, with nylon thread. I bet you a hundred dollars I did". The quality of the repair does not appear to be something that will hold up. My husband told her he bet her a hundred dollars he would not be back. Her reply was good. read more

I took my black leather-soled dress shoes in to be repaired here. Each shoe had holes beginning to wear through the soles. The man at the counter presented me with two options: (a) replace the worn leather sole with a new leather sole or (b) replace the worn leather sole with an all rubber sole. I chose option (a) since it was a bit cheaper. When I returned the next day for pickup the shoes had been polished and looked brand new! He replaced the worn leather sole with a new leather sole and then applied a sole-saver (a thin piece of rubber glued to the leather sole to prevent wear and provide better traction) over the entire sole for no extra charge! The quality was superb! I was so impressed that I took off my pair of brown leather-soled dress shoes that I was wearing and gave them to him to put sole-savers on, and I walked out of the store with the newly repaired black shoes. I later had the heels replaced on another pair of slip-on dress shoes. This has been over one year ago, and the soles and heels on my shoes are still in great condition. This business believes in quality materials and quality workmanship. The prices are reasonable for the repair of quality shoes (i.e., Johnston and Murphy, Cole Haan, Allen Edmunds, etc.). Essentially, I extended the lives of three pairs of shoes for what one pair of quality dress shoes would have cost. This business also does other leather care services that I will be sure to take advantage of if the need ever arises. I highly recommend this business! read more

I dropped of a pair of shoes and leather vest for repairs on Wednesday, the person behind the counter indicated they would be ready by Friday. I returned on Friday about mid-afternoon, the same guy indicated they were not ready, to come back in 1 1/2 hours. Returned, they are still not ready; came back Saturday morning, different person (female) behind the counter, vest not ready come back in 1/2 hour. Who has time to keep coming back when they do not honor their time commitment? Decided to try again the following Tuesday (sign on door indicates they are closed on Sunday & Monday), tried twice on Tuesday, door locked, no one their, finally able to complete the transaction on Wednesday. Horrible customer service and attitudes of owners. Never again! read more

SAVE YOUR MONEY!! If I could've given this place 0 stars I would've! I dropped off a pump that had the heel chewed by my Frenchie. A week later I picked it up, and it had been glued and covered in shoe polish. It still looked HORRIBLE! I could still see every bite mark, and I'd be embarrassed to wear it in public. I voiced my disappointment and was told "they did the best they could". The following day I called and asked if something could be done, because the shoes weren't wearable. The lady became defensive and was extremely rude. She put the older man on the phone, and he was even more unprofessional. He was argumentative and never offered a resolution. He told me "my shoe had been chewed by my dog and he couldn't fix that". I asked well what did I pay for?? He told me he "fixed my heel" but he didn't say he could make it look better. I was in disbelief! Who pays to have a heel repaired that is still not wearable?? He ended with telling me there was nothing he could do and hung the phone up in my face. I've NEVER been spoken to so poorly by a business owner, and I'll never patronize them again. I asked for his name, as well as hers, but they refused to tell me. My shoes also have an odor. There were 3 dogs and a kitten inside of the store when I dropped off my shoes. The kitten "Jimmy Choo" bit my ankle, smh. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! read more
