Stopped here on our way to Chicago and the staff, the building itself and the vibe couldn't have been more pleasant!! I also appreciate when a local place has a nice story behind it and they share it with everyone on the menu. If you are a resident of Chillicothe or just passing through, stop and give them a try! Hubby had the chicken and waffles and I had the shrimp skewers. The burgers sounded great, but a late dinner made me order a lighter meal. The burgers will be what I try on our next visit. read more

I actually give it a 4.5 for quality and price. Had dinner around 5pm on a Tuesday and they were not busy. Read some really good reviews and decided to try it as we were passing through. It's located in a very cool historic brick building. Greeted promptly and seated. Ordered drinks right away. They have a nice beer list, something for everyone, and my wife had a flight of margarita's that she really enjoyed. Waitress was fun, attentive and quick. I ordered shrimp skewers and my wife, Cobb salad with honey mustard dressing. Everything was very good. My small complaint is the grilled vegetables that came with the shrimp were not great, a little mushy, but everything else was very good and I really enjoyed the shrimp, more than I expected! It isn't overpriced which is very much appreciated these days. So stop in at a nice place to have a good meal with good service and spend some time. Enjoy! read more

I don't drink but really like their meal's especially the Tacos on Tuesday. The steaks are good as are the lunches.

We've eaten here 3x and the first two were very good- ate at the bar and had good food and service. Today was completely different. Seated at a requested table. Sat down at 12:30 (checked a text so confirmed time). Ordered beers- no issues. At same time we ordered food. One plain salad w dressing. A quinoa salad w chicken and scrambled eggs w bacon. Texted our son at 12:35 right after we ordered. At 1:10 the waitress finally came back and said there was a mixup with a salad and it would be a few more minutes. Had to call her back to order 1 beer. Wanted to ask for water but she didn't stick around or ask if we needed anything else. At 1:25, the quinoa finally comes out (that's 50 minutes for a salad) and the waitress said the kitchen never got my egg order because they stop serving breakfast at 11..... Ok, so you took my order at 12:35 and FIFTY minutes later you tell me my order wasn't placed because you stopped serving that item 90 minutes prior from when I ordered???? I said to obviously cancel my eggs and she walked away to finally bring out the plain salad 5 minutes later. I'm not a complainer. Most my reviews here are 5 stars. This was such a horrible meal and service....so bad. We paid in full and left...and will really have to think about coming back. read more

This place is adorable! Was just here for the weekend visiting family and this was the cutest place I found in this small town. Ordered breakfast to go one morning then came back that evening for drinks! Not pictured was also mini potato pancakes. Both food and drinks were delicious. Love the decor. Shooter's is a nice surprise within a small town like Chillicothe. My boyfriend and I come here often because they have a solid selection of beers on tap. Many of those beers are local or are from craft breweries across the country. They have taps where they rotate kegs so there is usually something different to try every time we go. They also have a cocktail menu that is fun too! Food is also solid. I cannot say it's the best I've ever had, but again, it's really better than you might expect in a small town. I also appreciate that they have an entree option for vegetarians, and that is VERY rare in a small, Midwest town. Even if the food is on point, you should be able to find a beer or cocktail to your liking. read more

Quaint little place to stop in for a bite to eat. Never would have imagined I would order a sloppy Jolene to eat but the description kept drawing me back. Glad that I tried it. It was delicious. Tried the Reuben appetizer. It was ok, don't really know what I expected. Prices were reasonable. Definitely worth stopping and eating. read more

We got our order to go. It looked very nice and clean in there. Th me bar area, the only part I was in, was very nice. The wait staff was very friendly. Both my kids got the Nearly Naked Chicken Tenders and they loved it. I got the Hog Tied Sweet Potato and it was delicious. I forgot to snap a picture of it. I highly recommend this restaurant! And with their hours, they are open about any time you'd want to eat! Update: I liked it so much that I've been back twice since first time. I've also tried the Taco Bout Carnitas - great! The food, drinks and desserts here are all amazing. Great service in a family-owned, modern eatery. My absolute favorite is the weekend brunch complete with the biggest Bloody Mary ever. Shooter's is a great local restaurant and a gem for a small town! We stopped in for dinner on a rainy night while traveling through Northern MO. The service was outstanding. The menu is full of great, delicious options at a reasonable price as well. I'd love to visit again on a nice evening and enjoy a great meal on their front porch. Definitely skip the chain choices and give Shooter's a try if you're near Chillicothe. read more

We were traveling and happened to stumble on this gem. The food was delicious and the service was spectacular! We had our dogs with us and were allowed to sit on the porch with them. The waitress brought the pups water as we were sitting. We ordered burgers which were plentiful and super tasty (Stache and Stinger). The coleslaw was probably the best I've ever had; not too creamy with great flavor!! We would also recommend the Mac and cheese as a side. The Ruben Dip appetizer did not disappoint. This was my first visit and thought the food was good. The wait staff was friendly and prompt - I would eat here again

We came here after Wabash bbq wouldn't serve us because they were apparently closing early that night. I'm so glad they turned us away or we wouldn't have found this amazing restaurant. The staff was so kind and accommodating. We had the potato cake appetizer, delish! We had the southwest chicken and sloppy jolene and they were both great. Next time we are working in Chillicothe we will be back. Don't hesitate to eat there! You won't regret it! read more

I ordered online and we picked it up curbside. Was ready on time and the food was as great. The sweet potato with the pulled pork was so good. I got the BBQ sauce and sour cream in the side.
