Once inside, Shooter's was close quarters for sure but the staff was friendly and helpful. The range was serviceable. Range targets are at a static distance (20 feet?) which was fine for pistols. Since the carriages aren't activated they call a cease-fire on the line and have staff replace targets each half hour. It was quick. They had a very very nice selection of AR platforms and plenty of other options as well as a fishing and archery department. read more

I want to give it a five star but I didn't purchase my gun from them. We walked in stood around for 15 minutes, no one said anything to us. Determined that prices were high and this put us at Dunham's. I must say thank you as Dunham's sold us what we wanted and much more. Thank you for no help and knowing the folks at Dunham's are on point. Would I recommend, yes then leave and go somewhere else so you know how true service works. read more

Disclaimer: the extent of my visit was to utilize the shooting range. That said, the staff with whom I worked were very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. All was much appreciated by this rookie. With minimal experience at a shooting range - and with a firearm I was unfamiliar - I was grateful for the patience and assistance genuinely and freely offered. And while I solely visited for the range, I was impressed by the facility's cleanliness and organization. Additionally, I was struck by the quantity and quality of firearms, firearm accessories, archery equipment, and etc. - and JUST about didn't get out without the purchase of something I for sure "needed"! Great facility, staff with attitude. I stopped in to Shooters while visiting family in TVC. The shop is small but has a nice selection of the mainstream weapons and accessories. (I don't use a bow so can't comment on the archery side of the business.) The eight lanes are modern and well thought out, with a back bench for your coat, ammo, and gun case, and a smaller front bench that easily holds a couple of handguns and some magazines. The target system is also very modern, but somewhat confusing for a first time user. I finally figured out how to select the distance and how to bring the target back. (I've been to a lot of ranges which mostly just have a two-position switch.) The prices were reasonable, about on a par with other MI ranges. The employees, however, were another story. We appeared on the day after the Christmas holiday, and there was a wait to get a lane and the small space was packed with customers. You would think that having a surfeit of customers would make a business owner and employees happy: more customers, more money. But you would be wrong. The first thing I heard out of the counter-guy's mouth was a complaint about how busy there were. It was also affecting his temper. When my Mom, a relatively new shooter, asked a simple newbie questions, he was short with her and did his best to make her feel stupid. I saw the same kind of behavior from him and another employee to multiple customers. In any business, if you think customers are the problem, you need to be in another business. The next time I'm in TVC it will be summer and hopefully the outdoor DNR range will be open. I'll go back to Shooters in winter time, but it won't be because of the friendly or welcoming attitude. read more

Loved this place. We went on vacation, and since we don't need a license in Michigan, i decided to take my friends to go shooting. The people here are extremely friendly and helpful. most of my group did not know how to use a gun, and i was a little rusty, but they were patient, and taught us thoroughly, and made sure we were comfortable with the guns before they left us alone with them. my friend and i wanted to buy a bow and arrows sooooo bad! it's very unfortunate but also very understandable that they don't rent out bows. Guns were fun enough hehe. we even came back later that day.. and brought the rest of our friends.. ^^; i know i know... sounds ridiculous, but the pricing was SOOOOO goood we couldn't pass it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! geezus. if i ever come back to vacay with my friends again in this area, we are definitely going to go back here! read more
