I have tried for the last 8 years to deal with Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacy in Cochrane AB simply because I moved to an acreage slightly closer to Cochrane than Calgary. I finally gave up. Here are my complaints (1) the staff appears to change constantly therefore whatever you have "solved" with the last group, goes right back into chaos with the new ones. (2) for the first few months they faxed for prescription refills to a number that was NOT my doctor. Then they faxed to a dr's fax that wasn't even at the right clinic. (3) They tell you your prescription has "been received". Or "come back in an hour" when it has NOT been received and has NOT been prepared. They have strange rules and regulations with regard to Alberta Health Care (when and what it will cover) and waiting periods (for a medication I have been on for almost 30 years). I discovered from my new (Calgary) pharmacy that neither philosophy (if I can call it that) was true. This pharmacy is inept in many ways. read more

I know this chain is very expensive and as a rule I never go there unless I really really need to go there but I must've met the staff at the make up area and perfume area are very very good... One lady in particular is super helpful. I got some perfume and she could not have been more helpful I thought she was going to help me out to my car after the gift wrapping and fussing it was adorable... Plus she taught me how to download the app to saving money for that purchase and all future purchases. I've never been into apps and chip on cutting but it was super helpful. Thank you! read more

Due to COVID and wanting to avoid Costco crowds I had returned my business to Shoppers in Cochrane. I quickly remembered why I stopped going there in the first place! Upon entering the store I quickly noticed an employee following me all around the isles and all the way up to the check out making me feel uncomfortable as if she was suspecting I was going to steal something. My sister receives the same treatment at Shoppers. I believe they may think I am a first nations woman due to my dark hair and skin tone. I will be returning my pharmaceutical business to Costco ASAP and will shop elsewhere for my beauty products and fragrance. read more

This was my second trip into that location today. I wanted to get passport photos done for my PAL licensing. I waited in line for 5 minutes while the checkout lady gossiped with her friend and ignored everyone else in line, then found out that I would have to come back in 2 hours because she was the only person there. Well, just another bout of non-existent customer service in Alberta. I'm starting to get really sick of people taking my money here...when there is next to no service provided. In this case, I'm boycotting this Shoppers, and all others. Idiots. read more

Convenient hours, good customer service. Seriously lacking, though, in environmentally responsible product options. Virtually no cosmetics or personal care products that aren't tested on animals. Disappointingly irresponsible. read more

Although I have spent millions of dollars at shoppers, and they have exciting stuff for women such as sprays, nail polish, the works, the service is almost embarrassing. They treat all the teenagers as shoplifters and yes I do agree, many steal from this store, but the thing that erked me was that the lady working actually followed the kids everywhere they went and asked them if they needed something every 5 minutes. I thought this was SO rude!! I would be so offended and I assure that I would have given them a piece of my mind. They just really dont have good service. I dont appreciate it. And its expensive. But it has everything you need and more so I am very in the middle with this. read more

The Pharmacy staff are great and helpful. I do agree with the last review the cashiers at the front chat and daudle a lot. I like the hours and they almost always have what I need. read more
