I called the shoppers at 3pm on a Wednesday to order my medication and the pharmacist tells…read moreme "no problem sir, we have your meds available and your meds will be ready same day tomorrow". I take 4 different meds so I made sure to specify which one to the pharmacist. Unfortunately I couldn't get in the Thursday since I had last minute appointments scheduled so I had to come back on Friday. I usually get a text for when to pick up my meds but nothing so I assume that it will be "ready" on Friday. I come on Friday at noon on my lunch to find out they filled out the wrong meds!!! There was only one pharmacist on the floor!!! The meds they gave me was one of mine (keptra) but not the right one. I look in the bag to find they filled out 3 months worth of the wrong one. As the pharmacist looks in the back to try in fill the right meds(cenoblamate), she tells me that there's only has 50mg tablets and not 100mg and that she only has enough for two weeks. Once done completing my order she makes sure to order more meds to get them as soon as possible . It's a new med for me and she tells me she can only give me 2 weeks worth of the 100mg pills at a time when they have them. Why am I aloud to get 3 weeks Kepra but only 2 weeks or less of cenoblamate!!! I always get the same problem every time I walk in to the pharmacy for the 3 months of kepra vs the rest of my meds!!! As we finish the debacle, she wanted me to pay for both bags even if iit clearly states that my work insurance pays for it!!! I was so mad to the point that I wanted to talk to a manager. There was no manager in the building!!! wtf!!! Was told that the 3 bank street location are used same management. So she had to call him personally to know if I can get my meds under coverage. After some technical asking back and forth I didn't understand, they got fed up and let me leve with both bags for free. As I walk out I notice only one cashier and one employee in the makeup department. Don't you guys have training on everything!? Like shouldn't you come help us cashier? I had the same problem for two months with my other meds vs kepra!!! wtf!!! There was another 15 people behind me. I can't hendle this!!! Hire more staff or get your fucken shit together or I'm changing pharmacies!!!

Now there are several locations all over the city, but there was a time when I had to haul my butt all the way down to Barrhaven to shop at Sally's. I rarely go to this location anymore because others are more convenient for me, but I find that this one is better stocked and they will have items that are sold out at other locations. So Sally's is open to the public, but they sell items that skew more to those in the beauty industry, like haircutting implements, lots of nail/manicure supplies, hair colorants and developers. They also carry cosmetics, hair care and hair styling tools. Prices are reasonable. They have a membership card that you purchase and you get the members' price on items which is a bit lower than non-member prices. They have special memberships for people in the beauty industry as well. They have brands of haircare products that are exclusive to them like "Beyond the Zone" and "Ion" which are quite good. They also carry cosmetics brands that are exclusive to them like "Sally Girl." Other brands of cosmetics that they sell that are hard to find elsewhere in Canada (in-store) are "Palladio Beauty" and "Femme Couture." For nail polish, they have a really good selection of "China Glaze" among other brands. Sally's also tends have items first when they start to become trendy. Remember the holograhic nail polish craze? They were the first to have all those pretty oil slick colours. They were also the first to carry magnetic eyelashes in-store in Canada. Oh and remember magnetic nail polish? Where there were magnetic shavings in the polish so after you paint your nails you would hold a special magnetic against your nail and a star or chevron pattern would appear? Sally's was again the first place you could get them at a brick and mortar store. Oh I thought those were the bee's knees and I bought every single colour and every magnetic design, lol. They are scented, but it's not the point where you need a gas mask. This store has free soap samples. I took some with me in a paper bag. I then was out and about as the day progressed. Every time I got into my car, it smelled so welcoming and nice. I was instantly in a good, relaxed mood! The lip butters looked so good. I love lip balm. The coconut one intrigued me, but I decided to put that on hold. My purse already had two coconut lip balms! Too bad the root beer one is no longer available. I like root beer. I am sure it would have been the higher quality version of what Lip Smackers used to offer. I tend to use both liquid and bar soaps these days. I reintroduced using bar soaps within the last year. I love their lip balms ($4.99) and like how they use natural ingredients. I really liked their root beer flavoured lip balm, but they have discontinued it :( Please bring it back!! I like their bar soaps too ($6.99), which I use to wash my face. It's actually really good at removing makeup. I've tried Turkish Fig, Mojito, and Lumberjack. I like how they are scented, but the scent is not strong/overpowering and it does not linger. You do have to be careful to keep the bar of soap dry in between uses, because they get water logged very easily and I've had a few bars turn into a pile of goop. Like most businesses in The Glebe there is no parking lot, so street parking only. If you haven't tried Purple Urchin products, you should definitely give them a try :)

This location is similar to the others except it's a free-standing store in a plaza, while the other 2 aforementioned locations are inside enclosed shopping malls. Staff are friendly. I love shopping the miniatures section. They are good for travel or for trying out a product before committing to the full-sized. Prices are high but once in a while they do have sales. Lots of free parking in the plaza.
