Vainly searching for help to find an item and then rude service at deli counter…read more Searching for a sushi mat, I looked in vain for an associate, finally finding somone at the next Deli meat counter. It was 12:45 and the whole section of the store seemed empty of staff. The associate came back to the counter and there was only one other customer who seemed to be browsing the selections. I said, " I have a quick question " Do you have any sushi mats?" Her counter was just opposite a sushi supply section I had already searched. Despite this she said an abrupt "I don't know but she was here first" in a rude way. I was just looking to have a question answered and didn't think I should wait through a whole slicing meat order first. This person is not an asset to your business but you need to train your staff better and have a policy of asking staff to contact a floor person to come and help when necessary rather than rudely brushing them off. I left the store angry and highly doubt I will be back despite holding credit and loyalty cards from Superstore.

I dunno, but congratulations you nailed it. These women do not greet you, they make you feel like going to their register is a horrible thing to do to them. They are nasty about bagging your groceries, and are never polite and friendly when you leave. I understand it is hard to keep staff, but i would rather deal with a robot than these nasty wenches

This place is A-OK! It is good, not great…read more As Lawtons locations go, it's definitely middle of the road. If I were grading it, it'd get a B- for "Satisfactory." If it were a student, it would blend into the background - not outstanding but not under-performing either. Above and beyond? Heck, no! Perfectly adequate is just fine!

This drug store location is my most frequented, simply because its so close to my place of living…read more Besides the factor of convenience, there is nothing about Lawtons to keep me coming back. Its a tidy, presentable store and covers all the basic tidings. Last minute trip? Yes... its the typical drug store to the rescue. With a postal center, medium-sized cosmetics section, pharmacy and all the isles in the between, Lawtons is likely to satisfy most. However, as a reoccurring customer, I've noticed poor, untimely service on more than one occasion. The people at the front cashes always seem to be more than adequate; however, its the cosmetics and postal peeps that have been off their game. I can say with confidence that EVERY time I've browsed the cosmetics section, I've been either blatantly ignored or exposed to loud conversations between staff members. If they, then, see me, and choose to make the effort, its never been with regard. This is a section of a store where people look to employees for expertise, and its just not present here. I've had a few bumps in service with the postal counter, as staff consistently appears stiff and reluctant to serve. The job gets done... but how about a little pep. Not a lot... I realize customer service can be grueling. But could you stop acting like I kicked your puppy? Sheesh. I'd like to see some friendlier service here to back up the convenience. Here's hoping, but I won't hold my breath.

I was delighted when after moving to the area I found what appeared to be a great pharmacy just up…read morethe road. I got a new family doctor at the medical clinic upstairs (both doctor and clinic are fantastic, by the way!) and switched my prescriptions over to this new pharmacy. As convenient as it is, I regret that decision every time I have to interact with the pharmacy staff. Don't get me wrong, some of the staff are delightful...but there are two ladies in particular that must really hate their jobs. As a health care professional myself, I understand that things can get busy and overwhelming (which I'm assuming is why I'm always treated with the utmost of rudeness?) but you are just that - a professional - so act like it! I absolutely hate dropping a prescription off or conversing with these people. Today I spoke with the older lady on the phone and was basically yelled at and put on hold WHILE I was asking a question. It's infuriating that every time I associate with these people I feel like I am doing them a huge inconvenience. Props to the new owners for trying their best but you really need to take a look at your staff and who is interacting with your customers. If it wasn't for my awesome family doc upstairs, I would have been out of there long ago. That being said, the rest of the store is great--lovely front cash staff, good sales and products, and a real 'community' atmosphere. Just bring your prescriptions elsewhere...

This review is concerning the pharmacy services staff, not about the general store cashiers. My…read morefamily has been long standing customers of this pharmacy in the community of Hatchet Lake as our family doctors are in the same building. This review is about the declining service they are providing to the community in customer treatment and service with the prescriptions preparations that are a hit and miss many times with the delivery. They are very entitled and never apologize when they don't fulfill the meds on time or make customers wait in line that just want to pick up medication while chatting unnecessarily to other clients about other business other than picking up meds. They are rude and like I said never apologize for making the client wait unnecessarily, standing in the isle. Maybe they can offer some chairs and a number system if they are taking so long with that type of clients. I continue to use this pharmacy in my community because I have no choice, there are no others close by without going to town. The staff is absolutely in bad need of sensitivity courses and client compliance in doing their best to advise and offer guidance rather than continue with this rude behavior of entitlement when speaking to clients. Especially in small communities where people know everyone. If you don't have the medication ready when promised, it is your fault and as such you must apologize and do whatever is in your power to satisfy or fulfill this promise as not to inconvenience the client any further. Saying, 'Is not here and come back later' doesn't cut it for good service when one is counting on having it on time for many reasons. Your staff needs to do better, especially the younger staff in training. I hope the owners of this pharmacy see this review and act accordingly. Many in the community are very dissatisfied with the pharmacy staff treatment of their clients. Start training your people properly if you care about the community service and be more helpful, not confrontational or condescending to clients. Take a page from other pharmacies where service is stellar compared to this Hatchet Lake Guardian service. Patricia C.
