Rexall Drug Store is located in Leduc's City Centre Mall. It is a drug store, but it's not as busy…read moreas going to Shoppers (the only other real drug store in Leduc) or Walmart. What I like about Rexall? The price is pretty decent. Shoppers is usually the most expensive place when it comes to drug store purchases in Leduc, and Walmart is usually the cheapest, but Walmart is always busy and Rexall is pretty quiet. The only time I find it's busy at Rexall is if the Farmer's Market is going on in the mall or if it's Senior Days. There is a Canada post office at this location. It's the only one, I believe in Leduc. Sometimes the post office isn't open, but for as often as I need to use the post office it works. There is a decent amount of stock here, not as much variety as Shoppers, but I can usually find what I'm looking for. There are a few things I buy, like my facewash, that Rexall doesn't carry. You can get Airmiles now with your purchase. I think it's 1 for $20 spent, which isn't great, but today I used a coupon and got 100 for spending $50. Red Deer here I come :D There's a pharmacy here, but I've never had to use it so I won't comment on that. What I don't like about this Rexall? The place always seems understaffed. I like to be left alone when I shop, but it's often hard to find a staff member if I have a question, or if I want to see if they have something in stock. If there's more than one person at the checkout counter there's usually a pretty long line. This is a time where I wish Yelp did half stars, because I'd probably opt for 3.5 stars out of 5. There isn't anything horrible about this Rexall, but just the smaller selection, and waiting to speak to the staff (or to pay for purchases) means it's not my top choice of drug stores to visit in Leduc. I do like that they have airmiles, and that it's usually not to busy. If I just need to pick up some toothpaste or something I'll come here. If I'm looking to browse around to buy makeup or perfume I'll head somewhere else.

No Frills is just as its name suggests, no frills. They don't carry a lot of the President's Choice Brand items (although they do have the PC Decadent Cookies which are amazing), but they have a lot of No Name, and No Frills brand. Sometimes stock can get pretty picked over, especially if there's a sale or during the after office hours (3pm to 6pm-ish), but if get here during the week on a morning the stock is usually pretty decent. Sometimes the produce can be a little ifffy, but maybe it's just that time of year right now where produce is kinda crappy no matter where you go. Today I went to No Frills for their dollar days sale and I picked two boxes of Chapman's ice cream sandwiches (4 per box) for $1 each, and two 500ml containers of Chapman's ice cream for $1 each. Did I need the ice cream or ice cream sandwiches? Yes. Yes I did. You can't go wrong with ice cream at that price. Most of Leduc's grocery stores are on 50th Street north of 50 Avenue (Sobey's, Safeway), or are west in the very busy Leduc Common shopping area (Walmart, Bulk Barn), so it's nice to go to Extra Foods where the traffic is a little less busy. For some reason all their cosmetics employees are either immature or discriminating against a specific group of people just because they seem to have been given the authority to do so. Just a background on my mother which she shouldn't have to explain to some sales person however she still had to - she's been diagnosed with depression and asthma for many years now so at this store some of her actions included taking pictures of products(which literally everyone's does in some way but hers was acting out on her depression), spending extra time in the store to kill time (again, due to being depressed), pulling her mask down occasionally to catch her breath or to take a drink due to asthma & diabetes like the employees at the store don't pull their mask down to take a drink. The cosmetics person Connie yelled at her several times and FOLLOWED her throughout the ENTIRE store for the time she was there when she shouldn't even be leaving the boutique department and can easily ask other employees to keep an eye on my mom if she's that much of a threat to the store lol. She embarrassed my mom several times looking down on her and making it look like she was stealing or breaking huge rules around the store when no other employee thought otherwise. Anytime she'd catch my mom looking at a product for too long she'd come up to her and ask why and then one day came when my mom started explaining to her about her depression and she told my mom that's she's BANNED from the store not to mention anytime she'd say something to my mom, my mom would always listen to her. She's so confident in her decision in openly insulting and discriminating a disabled person from a minority group that she provided my mom with a card of the store saying to call and confirm with store manager. Good to know that the store manager encourages this behaviour from his employees. It has come to the point where I'd like the store to show us the video recordings of my mom doing anything wrong in the store if she's going to be banned from the store because I will not be staying silent regarding this. One of the ladies from cosmetics offered to take people in line. She took the next lady who was in line and then I left to join them. I have never heard of redemption days and this lovely cosmetics lady told me all about it and wrote it on my receipt. She even offered to put whatever item I wanted on hold for me if I needed. Now that's some great customer service. This is by far one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had.
