I am checking out and not even 5 items in, I am greeted by an employee. Asking (more like TELLING) me I'm in need of help. I say no, I am fine. I am very used to GROCERY SHOPPING & can navigate it on my own. But yet she stays.... Starts going through my checked items and the bags I had aside , asking me to see the register to make sure everything was "actually" scanned. Then pushes me over and says she needs to do it for me. My total was like $700 or $650 around there. And when it's time for me to lay she like is breathin down my damn neck looking at how I'm possibly gonna pay. NY CARD DECLINED I was on my way from Austin to Denver, CO & my bank felt it was suspicious & needed further approval. So, I had to call & get it set straight. Oh man, when I tell you this lady was gonna have an orgasm thinkin she really caught on to me... HER PANTIES WERE WET MAN. & when it took longer than w seconds to get it straightened out she had 3 other employees around us. So when it comes time for me to swipe again they're all like sweating I swear. And I got the max amount of cash back that I could just to show that broke broad I'm not the one. & i hope to never see her outside of that establishment.

They are becoming infamous for the $11.39 price for a 30 oz. jar of Hellmann's mayonnaise! Most any other store on the planet still charges only about $5 for the same thing. The sidewalk by the entrance to the store was filled with foul smelling cigarette smoke. You could smell it all the way inside the door. It has been that way every time I have come for the past two months. I've come on different days of the week and at different times. I asked the manager today about the situation with the man smoking on the bench in front of their door. He is there every day. It smells awful. She was emphatic that Brookshire's does not care if the smoke is offensive to their customers. She said she doesn't care if they lose customers because of it. She said that there is nothing that she will do about it. I said I may go somewhere else to shop and she said OK. No apologies or offers to help with the situation. She was condescending and seemed to enjoy telling me that she would do nothing to make the situation better. I've shopped here for 40 years and I'm really sad about shopping somewhere else but it was really a bad experience except for my sacker and checker. I don't know the manager's name. This business is definitely both. They have a plethora of Texas cuts of meat sourced from Texas ranches, They have both pre-packaged and counter-fresh. We bought their in-house recipe chorizo and a bacon-wrapped chicken breast stuffed with jalapeños and pepper Jack cheese. We haven't cooked the chicken yet but I hope it's as spicy as it sounds. The butcher is in Monday - Friday but they're open 7 days a week. If you don't live in town but want to call ahead, they'll have you're order ready when you arrive. This is perfect for all the hunters that visit San Saba from October - January. They also have a small selection of Mexican brand groceries that are not available at the local grocery store. This is a great business addition for San Saba. They are conveniently located about 1 mile west of downtown on Hwy 190. Bottom line - A great combination of an American and Mexican Butcher shop. This is absolutely the best selection of beers and wine in and around Eastland, Texas. These are more the type of beers you would expect to find at a nice bar. Obviously they also carry all the munchies to go with the beer!
