This property is always clean and well maintained. Every department seems to be organized and stocked. Lots of open cash registers and excellent customer service. Had a good time at the pharmacy somebody had the same birthday as mine in a few days and then the…read moreother lady that I called earlier and talked to she was there and was checking me out and then got the other lady and we all had a great time I was in in a good mood until I go get a few things from United grocery and everything falls apart get the wrong chicken breast so I went back all the way in and got the right ones my mistake but I did ask a assistant manager there at the store and had him come and be sure to verify them the right ones and he said yes and then I go up and waste 20 minutes arguing with the lady and putting out the guy that was just up there to check out something the assistant manager and it just cost a lot of excitement because he didn't know but he said he did and then the fruit has changed you only get the deal if you pick up or get it delivered I mean I was losing the battle I've already wasted 20 minutes and I was done so I just left I didn't buy nothing but is this how it's going to be everything changes you don't get deals until you do something special flip upside down backwards crazy just tell us the food at a decent price and give us a good deal without doing crazy crap you already got to be a member to buy groceries how insane is this . I know that's the way it is but it's not right and if you don't get the deals at United they're already so Sky High anyway it's horrible that's the only reason I come is to get the deals and then you don't get them unless you do exactly what they say get it delivered or pick it up and I didn't see that I've never seen that I've been getting fruit on sale there taking it to my sister at the nursing home but that's how it goes everything's changing and it's going to get worse it's going to get worse . So, I…read morehave OCD and go through the self check out so I'm able to bag how I feel comfortable, I haven't ever had problems with this. Until I go here. So.. I am checking out and not even 5 items in, I am greeted by an employee. Asking (more like TELLING) me I'm in need of help. I say no, I am fine. I am very used to GROCERY SHOPPING & can navigate it on my own. But yet she stays.... Starts going through my checked items and the bags I had aside , asking me to see the register to make sure everything was "actually" scanned. Then pushes me over and says she needs to do it for me. My total was like $700 or $650 around there. And when it's time for me to lay she like is breathin down my damn neck looking at how I'm possibly gonna pay. NY CARD DECLINED I was on my way from Austin to Denver, CO & my bank felt it was suspicious & needed further approval. So, I had to call & get it set straight. Oh man, when I tell you this lady was gonna have an orgasm thinkin she really caught on to me... HER PANTIES WERE WET MAN. & when it took longer than w seconds to get it straightened out she had 3 other employees around us. So when it comes time for me to swipe again they're all like sweating I swear. And I got the max amount of cash back that I could just to show that broke broad I'm not the one. & i hope to never see her outside of that establishment.

Their discounts are great (on food, drinks, and all). In general I always find everything well…read moresorted and at reach. I'd say they have almost everything I need, and being a kitchen enthusiast, I love their spice section. The ambiance is usually chill and easy to navigate through, people in the aisles are usually very knowledgeable of where things are. The service is usually good, but there have been times where I've felt discriminated against, like, this one time at the self check out when I was speaking Spanish on the phone and this lady shows up out of nowhere to ask me "please scan the water". (I always use the self checkout, but curiously enough, the day I was speaking Spanish they ask me to scan everything)... I wasn't even done scanning, but meh... maybe it's just some bad apples. In general I totally recommend the store, just be ready to deal with some people's mood

I wasn't feeling well; I was dizzy and worried about bending over to put the sacks in my car. I told her that and she was very nice and helpful about it. Most of the aisles were cluttered and full. It was hard to get through the aisles to find my groceries because the stockers were taking up so much space. They didn't offer to move. It was frustrating and difficult to get through the aisles. The sidewalk by the entrance to the store was filled with foul smelling cigarette smoke. You could smell it all the way inside the door. It has been that way every time I have come for the past two months. I've come on different days of the week and at different times. I asked the manager today about the situation with the man smoking on the bench in front of their door. He is there every day. It smells awful. She was emphatic that Brookshire's does not care if the smoke is offensive to their customers. She said she doesn't care if they lose customers because of it. She said that there is nothing that she will do about it. I said I may go somewhere else to shop and she said OK. No apologies or offers to help with the situation. She was condescending and seemed to enjoy telling me that she would do nothing to make the situation better. I've shopped here for 40 years and I'm really sad about shopping somewhere else but it was really a bad experience except for my sacker and checker. I don't know the manager's name. She did not tell me and did not have a name tag. She has heart shaped glasses. I hope someone at Brookshire's looks into this because it used to be a nice place to shop.
