As you enter behind you is a bug zapper, I have never seen that, and I love that item! Someone is thinking upstairs! Thank you! Great carts, two different sizes and the area is clean, thank you again! As you enter to the right are all the fresh veggies and fruits with the Starbucks to the far left! Starbucks is a nice little add if you can not wake up totally to the shopping. To note, the Starbucks is fully staffed and can do what ever quickly! Thank you to them! To the far left, they have hot meals to select from, and if you are going to try to save money, have a bite! Do not shop hungry! It will cost you in the long run! If you walk through the store you will notice that the isles are wide, clean, and the products are well placed. This store has a number of cold bins! A number of more cold bins than the normal store, but they are trying to take care of you and being in a small town! ~ Cons: ~ They do not have a deli/meat person other than their deli person! ~ Their fresh fish area is very limited and also the frozen fish area. But this is central Texas, you eat fish near the shore, not in in central US. ~ Pros: ~ The veggies look and feel so fresh! ~ Customer service Rocks! ~ The fruits look and feel awesome! Just like they would taste fantastic! ~ The daily hot meals are a nice touch, and if you want to save a buck, have a little something before your shopping! ~ The pharmacy looks like they are on top of their game, but I can not verify this at this time. I like this place a great deal! I do have one problem, I came back notify the store manger about this problem and she lied to my face. I told her about the problem and would come back about in a month to see if they had resolved this issue, and update my review. I had read an article that the catfish and tilapia from china were not on our best interest. (Let us leave the issue on that) The manager only stated that she would look into this issue and it was higher issue now that it was brought to her attention. Had a good time at the pharmacy somebody had the same birthday as mine in a few days and then the…read moreother lady that I called earlier and talked to she was there and was checking me out and then got the other lady and we all had a great time I was in in a good mood until I go get a few things from United grocery and everything falls apart get the wrong chicken breast so I went back all the way in and got the right ones my mistake but I did ask a assistant manager there at the store and had him come and be sure to verify them the right ones and he said yes and then I go up and waste 20 minutes arguing with the lady and putting out the guy that was just up there to check out something the assistant manager and it just cost a lot of excitement because he didn't know but he said he did and then the fruit has changed you only get the deal if you pick up or get it delivered I mean I was losing the battle I've already wasted 20 minutes and I was done so I just left I didn't buy nothing but is this how it's going to be everything changes you don't get deals until you do something special flip upside down backwards crazy just tell us the food at a decent price and give us a good deal without doing crazy crap you already got to be a member to buy groceries how insane is this . I know that's the way it is but it's not right and if you don't get the deals at United they're already so Sky High anyway it's horrible that's the only reason I come is to get the deals and then you don't get them unless you do exactly what they say get it delivered or pick it up and I didn't see that I've never seen that I've been getting fruit on sale there taking it to my sister at the nursing home but that's how it goes everything's changing and it's going to get worse it's going to get worse . While looking around, we also noticed plenty of items on sale and clearance, which made the trip even better. The store had lots of self-checkout registers, so checking out was quick and convenient. Best of all, the air conditioning was amazing--a huge relief from the Texas heat. Overall, it was a great shopping experience but customer service was lacking here.

Their discounts are great (on food, drinks, and all). In general I always find everything well…read moresorted and at reach. I'd say they have almost everything I need, and being a kitchen enthusiast, I love their spice section. The ambiance is usually chill and easy to navigate through, people in the aisles are usually very knowledgeable of where things are. The service is usually good, but there have been times where I've felt discriminated against, like, this one time at the self check out when I was speaking Spanish on the phone and this lady shows up out of nowhere to ask me "please scan the water". (I always use the self checkout, but curiously enough, the day I was speaking Spanish they ask me to scan everything)... I wasn't even done scanning, but meh... maybe it's just some bad apples. In general I totally recommend the store, just be ready to deal with some people's mood

I wasn't feeling well; I was dizzy and worried about bending over to put the sacks in my car. I told her that and she was very nice and helpful about it. Most of the aisles were cluttered and full. It was hard to get through the aisles to find my groceries because the stockers were taking up so much space. They didn't offer to move. It was frustrating and difficult to get through the aisles. The sidewalk by the entrance to the store was filled with foul smelling cigarette smoke. You could smell it all the way inside the door. It has been that way every time I have come for the past two months. I've come on different days of the week and at different times. I asked the manager today about the situation with the man smoking on the bench in front of their door. He is there every day. It smells awful. She was emphatic that Brookshire's does not care if the smoke is offensive to their customers. She said she doesn't care if they lose customers because of it. She said that there is nothing that she will do about it. I said I may go somewhere else to shop and she said OK. No apologies or offers to help with the situation. She was condescending and seemed to enjoy telling me that she would do nothing to make the situation better. I've shopped here for 40 years and I'm really sad about shopping somewhere else but it was really a bad experience except for my sacker and checker. I don't know the manager's name. She did not tell me and did not have a name tag. She has heart shaped glasses. I hope someone at Brookshire's looks into this because it used to be a nice place to shop.
