Immediately, the woman at the front told me we "wouldn't fit" even though there was plenty of room in the front aisle where I was about to start browsing and the stroller was tucked out of the way of other customers. It seems like poor customer service to alienate moms who are likely the bulk of customers. Since my experience I have heard of other moms who were told not to come in the store with their children. I went across the street to Somewhere in Time where they were very nice, better organized, and seemed to sell higher quality items.

My mother has since passed so I was heartbroken when the bracelet broke on a cruise I was on. I discovered this shop offered jewelry repair and brought it in to have it worked on. The owner and staff were extremely helpful and professional. The repair was made on the bracelet by adding extra gold essentially making it a bangle I could take on and off, they even replicated that pattern the bracelet had with the gold they added on so you couldn't tell what was new gold and what was he original bracelet. I am so appreciative of the care that went into the repair of this extremely sentimental possession. Highly recommend coming here for any of your jewelry needs you will not be disappointed.

Instead, it's a garden store mixed with decor, chachkees, unique items, and a little book nook + coffee/tea shop. During the Christmas season, this would be an amazing place to get a thoughtful, curated gift. They had the MOST unique, handcrafted ornaments. (I love weird, different decor and this is definitely the spot for it.) The prices are a little elevated, but certainly worth the gems you'll find here. It's not a huge property but they have it laid out in such a way that it feels like it is. Pathways adorned with sculptures, fountains and archways leading through gardens of unique plants organized by theme and exposure. Plants that do well in shade are located in shady areas. Those that do well in sun are in sunny spots, etc. There is a cafe located on the property where you can get a very proper latte, cappuccino, espresso and enjoy it in a garden setting complete with vintage and rustic tables and chairs. They also have a little gift shop with plant themed decor and accessories. I have been a La Serra customer for a few years now. It used to feel like a best kept secret kind of place. However, the secret is apparently out. It can get pretty busy from time to time. But go with the flow. Even when busy it's still a great way to chill for an hour or so. Check it out.
