This office is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of. Their hours state they are open until 4:30pm everyday but they don't answer the phone AT ALL! It doesn't matter if you call at 3:30, 4, or 4:30 they refuse to answer the phone! For a doctors office you would think one of their main priorities would be to answer the phone for patients, yet they never answer when you call. Buyer Beware! - Let me tell you about my experience with Shore Physicians Group. My first appt with them was 9/17/19. I had no idea what my husband and I were getting into until we started using their services. My husband and I keep a doctor due to some regular medication we take. Upon relocation we choose Shore Physican's Group to start with a new relationship. The first invoice / bill I just received in December 2019. The charges are from September and October. Funny thing is I paid my October bill in the office at my November visit but never knew I had a bill until they told me at the front desk. I had no idea that a doctor's office could GL code a conversation you have in one visit and charge you twice. You see the two charges on my invoice for 9/17/19 are 1. $249.00 a physical and new patient intake. 2. $266.00 a charge for a diagnosis of Vertigo on the same visit. You see the billing department of Shore Physicians Group could not explain this to me. I was advised the office manager at the location I went to would be the person I needed to speak with about how charges were billed and handled. Now here's where some of the issues start. You can't call the office and speak with anyone upfront all lines except the one where they ask if you are a doctor or hospital won't be answered. So I clicked the extension that I was a Dr. Then a barely 20 yr old girl at the front desk answers the phone and with the worst personality for customer service claims she takes a message and will have someone call you. Now you may get lucky enough to get a call back a few days later but in most cases and particularly the office manager doesn't respond. Now the billing department did ask the office manager this one time to call me back. But my instructions were to have her call the next day between 1 and 2 pm. So the office manager either didn't get all the information or just didn't read it and called me at 4 pm the same day and left a message on my voicemail. So I called and left the same request to call me back the on the after hours answering service. Guess what no call the next day. So how did I find out all this detailed account information and why I was charged $515.00 for one office visit? Thank you Blue Cross and Blue Shield for answering your phone! Shore Physican's Group could take a lesson. No this doesn't end my tale. My husband working with the same office took his personal time and physically went down to their office twice to get a resolve with his medication as the insurance company didn't want to pay for the prescription the doctor order that was over $1000.00 The girl he left two messages with. By the way this is the same young lady with the who I don't feel should be answering the calls at the front desk couldn't understand what my husband was saying to relay the message properly to the doctor. Also don't expect a call back from the doctor. Hard to say if she is so busy she can't call which is very probable, maybe doesn't have anyone else she can delegate to or if the messages never gets to her since they seem not get any other messages if you leave them on any of the other lines other than the one you call if you are a doctor or hospital. Let me tell you more about the billing process now. This office is fabulous about referrals! They will refer you to anyone outside the office to deal with your potential medical issues. How do I know this? Well my husband and I decided to start using Atlantic Care and their doctor didn't seem to have to contact a specialist to run some specific tests to see if she could help us. I'm thankful for the second opinion because it may have saved my life. Did I like the doctor I had at Shore Physicians Group? Absolutely! I believe she was professional, well educated and had our best interests at heart. Do I believe the rest of the business supports her. NO! Choose for yourself if you want to go there. Dr. Perez is horrible. Asked me if I wanted a pneumonia shot wiylthou even looking at my chart to see if I'm already had one. Non-stop pushing me to take a stain that I told him I already chose not to take it. He did not even check my cholesterol ratio which was good at 3.4. Gave me a great deal of anxiety about asking me why I needed a cooling assistance form from the state. I told him because I am.74 years old and elderly people need cooling assistance. He said I would have to come back.in 3 to 5 days to get the form when the Medical Assistant had it right there. She sweetly asked him to sign it. Why put such anxiety on a patient..what if I needed assistance just to.get to my appointments and the form was right there and he told me I had to come back in e to 5 days.
