I called and ask for an estimate for 6 window mechanisms, the quote seemed high so we told the salesmen on the phone it was too high and asked why, he relooked at the quote and seen an error and said it would be approx. $500, we agreed that would be fine. He came out the same day to look at windows to order mechanisms asked that we pay a $125 deposit in cash. The next day he sent us a quote the next day and it was almost $1000 again, which we had already indicated was too high. I called and left a message, the owner Debbie, called back and when I explained what happened she indicated that I would not get the deposit back and that the price was not going to change, i tried to explain to her that we had already said we didn't want to spend anymore then the $500 quote, she hung up on me. I called back, she answered and reiterated what she had just said, i asked why did you hang up, she said because you were not understanding, i said yes i do but I'm trying to tell you what the sales men told me, she hung up on me again and then would not answer any of my called to her cell and or the business which i believe is her house. PSA: Don't hire Shore Windows and Doors. I hired them in October to replace cracked and broken glass panes in my 100 yr old windows. After showing up with the wrong glass many months later and canceling every appointment, I fired them. I had paid $300 down so asked for my glass in hopes that another person could use the material. The glass they provided was twice as thick as it should be and tempered, suitable for a modern coffee table...terrible! When I followed up, he (the owner Ray) was combative and rude and will not stand behind the product. I'm out the money and 9 months of hassle. Should be zero stars! read more

Had them do some window replacements for us and the work and workmanship was great. There was a manufacturing defect in one of the sliding doors and they stuck with it, chasing after the manufacturer on our behalf until it was made right. Crew was always polite and cleaned up after themselves. Communication was regular and thorough and price was more than competitive. Will definitely use them again. read more

I have no STAR to give. ( they made me post a star) I thought he was rude when I met him. He had his wife there waiting to go some place else. The work he was supposed to do was supposed to be completed in a week. Well needless to say it wasn't. He informed me I needed a hot water heater replaced ( not the job he was hired for) So he didn't finish the job. Left my water turned off and after a week of waiting for estimate for the hot water heater replacement I made arrangements to drive 150 miles to my vacation home and find a new contractor. NEVER AGAIN!! Update !!! Yes I did post my review before seeing the work that was completed. And yes I did mention the hot water heater was not part of the job you were supposed to do. But all I can say is I WISH I COULD POST PICTURES!! The hot water heater was not defective!! A real plumber demonstrated that when you empty a hot water heater sometimes debris from the bottom of the heater gets caught in the value. He simply opened and closed it several times to flush it out and BOOM! No more drips. But since I had already contracted him to replace it and it was old I had a new one installed. Shore Window and doors was hired by my Condo Association to repair bad floor joist and my un-level floors. Well my floors still aren't level and now my kitchen-counters are two different heights. To the left of my stove the counters are almost 3/4 of an inch higher the the counters on the right. And I can tell you it looks pretty bad like that. read more

DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE!!! If I could leave a review with the BBB, I would! They are not listed.. The workmanship sucks! I live in Florida and needed a new full-front glass storm door on my rental property. We paid 1/2 up front. $350. Then, the remaining $350 upon completion. $700 for this door. The first attempt, the installer put a screw through the door making it impossible to raise and lower the screen. After MONTHS of phone calls, promises, and getting angry, a replacement door was installed. When I came up to check on the install and make sure the property was ready to rent, I found the door barely latched. It was put on wonky and had large gaps all around. One stiff breeze would make it fly open. I called Debbie and complained about the install and requested that Ray come and check out the workmanship and do what's right to correct the installation. NEVER HEARD A THING!! I had to hire a handyman to take off the frame, and what did we find? Broken paint sticks to shim out the frame almost an inch! These were not even used the whole length of the jamb. The frame was only holding on by 1/2 widths of 2 screws! It was only a matter of a few more rain storms and the entire left side of the jamb would have fallen off. We had to go get 3/4" by 78" wood stock to frame the doorway and re-attach the storm door frame. I had to pay an additional $250 to have this work done in sub 40 degree weather. The original install was July! These people are criminals and should NOT BE IN BUSINESS!! read more
