They've repeatedly trash talked my insurance company, terrifying me by implying that my house is going to sit in disrepair and be unlivable like another house nearby. They neglected to mention that the house they are referring to has structural damage and isn't at all like my house. They're just fear mongering and trying to whip me into a panic. We received an estimate from Nicole Luzak, and she was our point of contact through the process. They sent a crew of five personnel, Matt-Melvin-Yorman-Zach-Mark, that worked under our home for three days. The crew cleaned all the debris and other materials from under the house, abated all the mold underneath with a cleaner and fungicide, sealed the space, insulated the space, put down a vapor barrier, and installed a dehumidifier. The crew worked diligently each day, kept their worksite clean, and communicated well with us each day regarding their progress. The crew boss, Matt, reached out to me about our Wifi for the dehumidifier and let me know that we needed to contact our internet provider to split the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz service so that we could connect up; it was quite helpful. We received a follow up email from Nicole after the work was completed to give us the service manuals and materials relevant to the install. Great communication and high-quality service. When I told them, they sent me a bogus picture of one dehumidifier in the center of the open area and said that's all there was -- unaware that I had my own pictures showing there were actually seven blowers in the area and one exactly where a big gash had been made in the wall. They did not take any responsibility for their actions and dragged out the remediation to soak the insurance company (telling me the day before) their approved time was up and they were tenting the area. Good question, if tenting was going to help dry things up, why didn't they do it earlier except you can't bill for service once you're out the door! Be careful letting Service Master of Salisbury in your front door.

She stated this to my daughter the week before, when they worked for 2 of the 4 days. Therefore, they would need only 2 days to complete the work during the week of 10-14 October. My daughter advised Ms. Murray that the workers could come to work on any day Monday through Thursday (10-13 October). Roxanne subsequently informed my daughter that the workers could not come to finish up until Wednesday and Thursday (12 & 13 October), despite originally stating to my daughter that they would come on Monday and Tuesday. I was never given a time when the workers would arrive. My daughter informed me that the workers had previously arrived at approximately 8:00 am, so I opened the garage door as I was expecting them to arrive on Wednesday, 12 October. When they had not arrived by 9:30 am, I called Ms. Murray, who advised me that they were coming but did not know when or what they would be working on that day. I called back at approximately 11:15 am because they had still not showed up. At this point, Ms. Murray stated she did not know when or even if they were coming. When I informed her that I had an appointment at 3:00 pm, she stated that I had already agreed to be available all day, as if I was expected to wait until the end of the day and hope the workers showed up. At this point, I called back and informed Ms. Murray that the services were no longer needed and that I would hire someone else to finish the work. This incident is consistent with previous behaviors demonstrating their unprofessionalism and lack of reliability, such as: * Frequently did not show up when Ms. Murray said they would; * Workers lied and said nobody was home, but they failed to knock on the door (September 2022) and did not show up the next day even after Mr. Murray said they would; * Ms. Murray failed to provide itemized reports/comparison of material costs, despite my repeated requests; * I received an invoice on September 6, 2022, for $4,830 due by September 21, 2022, before they had even started any work; * Scott (Project Manager) failed to show up on several occasions, and Ms. Murray could not provide a reason for the no-shows; * Ms. Murray aggressively informed me that she did not receive several emails from me despite referencing the contents of those emails to my daughter to include my email objection, dated September 25, to pay $4830 for work not even started; * No one from the company followed up with me after I reported to them that my ring had been stolen while their crew was working in my house; and * Ms. Murray and Alexis Vickers made several false statements during a telephone conversation on September 29, 2022.

I can't say enough good things about A&R Environmental. I contacted them in Sept 2019 when I…read morenoticed mold growing on a wall behind a piece of furniture. They arrived within 24 hours and did a thorough assessment and determined several walls, ceilings and floor tiles had a reading of 99% dampness. It was much worse than I had originally thought. They helped me trace the source of the water leak to two neighbors above me, whose HVAC had been flooding. They immediately brought in a HEPA air vacuum/scrubber to pull mold spores out of the air, and dehumidifiers to dry up the moisture. They installed a plastic barrier for mold containment and opened up the walls, removing all mold. When removing drywall, floor molding and door trim; they were very meticulous and cut neat lines that made it easier for a contractor to come in behind them and repair the damage. It took about a week for the moisture to dry up, but they came every day to document everything with photos and moisture meter readings. The technicians (Steve, Robert, Dylan) answered all of my questions and concerns, and explained things that were easy for me to understand. Because the flooding mainly affected my laundry & HVAC room, they coordinated with a 3rd party company to remove my HVAC and hot water heater so that moldy walls could be removed; and later coordinated for them to be reinstalled after my contractor did the wall repairs. They also cleaned the air ducts to ensure the mold had not spread throughout the house. They were so good at the mold remediation and water mitigation that both neighbors also affected by the flood also used their company. A&R coordinated directly with my insurance company, as well as the company of the neighbor who caused the flood and ensured me they would work with me to develop a financial plan to pay any costs that the insurance companies did not. A special thanks to Nathalie and Lauren who called and emailed me regularly with updates and assurances. A&R went beyond my expectations and not only eradicated the mold from my house, but throughout the process ensured my health and safety was their top priority. I hope I never had to use their services for mold remediation and water mitigation again, but I would not hesitate to call them again if needed.
