Nice cruise. Very friendly staff. We were able to see two shipwrecks and two lighthouses. I recommend this cruise.

Our boat was captained by Brian and his deck hand/entertainment of the night was Ben; both very professional and got us out and back in safely. Ben was fantastic on the acoustic guitar, excellent voice and sense of humor. It was a small group when we went but he still worked the crowd. The boat was clean and I appreciated that they had binoculars available in each bench seat so you could take advantage of seeing the sights. Ben also does some of the scenic tours so he threw in a few nuggets of info about the area in between songs but overall the focus was on the music and enjoying the views. Sunset was perfect! Would highly recommend.

It was a 1.5 hour interesting and enlightening guided tour highlighting elegant, historic, and hidden Cottage Row in the town of Gibraltar, the Strawberry Islands, and the Eagle Bluff Lighthouse. The all-in cost for us 2 seniors was $91.79. We boarded their boat named Quo Vadis and it has a capacity of 58 we were told. Betsy was our engaging and informative tour guide and she was a great local narrator and guide having been raised on nearby Chambers Island. From a nature and wildlife standpoint, we saw double-crested cormorants, white pelicans, a bald eagle, and a big eagle's nest along the way. Betsy added a lot of local color and flavor and trivia to the talk and it was just what I enjoyed hearing to gain more insight into this charming area. Big thumbs up and we would take another of their tours if we were up here at the right time and conditions again.

Silver Strike Fishing - Captain Sid in white hoodie 3rd place Sturgeon Bay Fall Bass Open in 2024

Captain Sid Johnson of Silver Strike Fishing just finished 3rd in the prestigious Sturgeon Bay Fall…read moreBass Open! One should expect to land at least 50 fish a day in a world class fishery like Door County when the smallmouth bass are in season! My brother's Southern Belle wife from Atlanta had never landed a fish in her life and in just 3.5 hours we landed 40 smallmouth bass and my brother's wife even landed a 3.5 lb. bass on her own. When my brother brought his son to fish once again we landed 40 fish in just 4 hours. Absolutely amazing. This was again near the end of August and we were dropshotting! My best outing with Captain Sid is 85 fish in 6 hours in a remote windswept bay on May 9, 2022. We landed three 21 inch plus In-Fisherman Angler Award bass, a 40 inch northern pike and a 38 inch northern pike. The action was a fish on almost every cast!!! This exhilirating trip tied with my best outing of 101 smallmouth bass on a Memorial Day weekend around 2000 with Guide Paul Prorok who finished 2nd in the Sturgeon Bay Bass Open in the late 90's (won $25,000) in waders! My biggest fish appeared on the front cover of Midwest Outdoors and also in In-Fisherman magazine. Captain Sid's boat is immaculate, and he has all the latest electronics including livescope!!! Captain Sid is truly a premiere world class guide of upper Door County for bass, and he boast lots of happy out-of-state repeat customers!! Captain Sid has a great bedside manner and will coach you on your technique. He also knows how to put you on the fish bite and also is always ready to net your trophy bass. On a scale from 1 to 10, Captain Sid is a 100!!! I typically book Captain Sid for 8 awesome bass trips a season, but I just booked him with two more eye watering events in late April due to the extremely hot prespawn smallmouth bass bite in a Door County remote bay. A fisherman just landed four 6 lb.+ bass on Easter Sunday afternoon starting at 3 p.m. with his wife at the remote site!!!!

My first cast, I caught a 4 pound bass with a swim jig that Sid taught me how to drag & pause. It was a very windy day with winds gusting to 40 mph, but we still did extremely well on the water, as Sid knew where to go when the weather got tough. In mid afternoon, we also caught a 37" northern pike, which I had professionally cleaned by Andy of Lindal Fisheries. Sid was fun to be with, great to train us in technique, and he kept the boat positioned in spots loaded with fish. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a productive fishing outing for smallmouth bass!
