I gained belief in my ability to take charge of my health by believing in the science of Michaels approach, I gained self-love, respect and acceptance as I worked through some tough issues that kept me static for a bit, I gained a champion in my corner always, someone who approaches with courage, connection and grace while not being afraid to prod you a bit, to motivate you to question your false beliefs about health, weight loss, life, yourself. And I've worked front office and back office with physicians, I know it can be done. Anyway, an acquaintance of mine posted about improvements to her health. I wanted a change so I pressed her for some details. She happily told me about the naturopaths at NSNM. In March 2012, I admittedly made my first appointment with a little hesitation. I didn't have much experience with alternative medicine except for home remedies that my grandmother did. I went into the clinic with an open mind. Julie checked me in with little fuss and I made a cup of tea while I waited. My wait was minimal. Jennifer came into the waiting room, introduced herself, and led me back to the exam room for my first visit. She listened. I mean, doctors are trained to listen but I got the sense that she was genuinely listening to everything that I said. The hour flew by easily. After several visits since then, I am a convert. I do not doubt the dedication that Jennifer has for her patients. She and Robin Sinclair (her clinic partner) genuinely care and listen to your concerns when discussing your healthcare needs. I've had both providers call me at home to check on me during my protracted bout with pertussis. Yeah... that was less than fun. A recent (and welcome) addition to their practice is a collaborative effort with Passionate Nutrition, a wonderful group of certified nutritionists. Jennifer Adler is my nutritionist and she listens without judgement. Check out my review for them if you want more information. Parking is easy and plentiful. Their second-floor location is easy to find and accessible via a small lift. At the end of your visit, your treatment plan will be sent home with you in case you forget what was prescribed or suggested. I cannot recommend them enough. I underwent the screening and paid out of pocket for the lab work up. She was very thorough, personable, and passionate about her profession. When he receives your results, he will call you (if results show irregularities) or schedule an appointment a week out to review the results with you. He also prescribes medication for pick up at your local pharmacy. It's a one stop shop. He also carries a multitude of vitamins, minerals as well as B12 injections. He cares about the health and well-being of his patients and is determined to help you feel your best. His front desk office manager is sweet, kind and patient. This kind of care beats any general practitioner or doctors office!
