The physical therapy care at EM was satisfactory, but the billing situation has been a months-long headache. I've been told repeatedly that an adjustment was submitted to my insurance, yet my insurance has no record of it. Every month I receive a new statement with charges that don't match my EOB and no explanation for the discrepancy. I've made countless calls and sent emails to EM with no resolution. I genuinely want to pay my bill, but am then told it's my issue to resolve w/my insurance provider (who has no record of the adjustments EM made after original billing!). I've been coming here on and off for years. It's easy to find and visible from the freeway, right on the interurban trail in Lynnwood. They offer a ton of stuff, but I only come here for the exercise classes. I really like the large parking lot. There's also a changing area with showers that I appreciate as it makes it so much easier to come directly from work. Currently I only take the Tuesday night Strength Training for Runners class, but I have done other fitness classes here years ago. I do run intermittently and really enjoy that this class is runner specific. There are other runners in the class, but a lot of people who don't seem to have an interest in running as well. Since this is on the interurban trail, most classes involve running up and down a section of the trail a few times if you don't want to, you can row instead. I need someone to force me to run, especially when it is dark and wet outside. I don't like to run at night alone. This class also involves a ton of strength training. Lots of time is spent demonstrating and practicing the exercises. The class is different each time. The previous instructor was Megan, the current instructor is Robby, both are awesome. I try to make it when I can, my only complaint is that it's cold in the winter, bring layers. I always leave feeling like I got a good work out. read more

The PT team I was assigned was spectacular! The knowledge, understanding, care, listening and consistent monitoring and adjusting to find effective treatment/exercises and such to help me progress were more than successful. I am not fully healed or back to normal, but this team got me further than previous therapists, doctors and others I have seen. I highly recommend Jess, John, Amelia and Caleb, but could also speak highly of every therapist I saw in action. The ways in which they tailor communication, strategies, practices, education and connection make our experiences perfectly suited and effective. I wished they took my insurance so I could continue being a client, but sadly they don't. Can't forget to give Austin (Intern) a shout out too. He was an integral part of my team. I seriously hope I can find a way to get back to seeing my team again soon. read more

April 15, 2024, I ruptured my right Achilles tendon running up (then falling) a warp wall at an ultimate ninja course. After discussions with my Surgeon, I decided not to get Achillies tendon surgery. By doing this unfortunately, my physical therapy would have to be very rigorous and challenging. For the first three and half months, I went to a standard physical therapist where I receive adequate treatment. However, we decided that her facility was not adequate with this type of injury. She said I would need to find a Sports Rehab facility if I wanted to get back to playing sports. She did some digging and found that Experience Momentum would be the only place in the area capable of giving what I need to finish my physical therapy. Of course, she was right! Experience Momentum had all the tools I would need to finish my therapy and get back to playing basketball with my kids. My team of Dr. Megan Dalton, Dr. Robby Boyles and Jessica Hiestand were exactly the people I need to get through the next 8 months of therapy. Megan was my lead that devised a plan of attack to get me back to my pre-injury self and would never let me get away with cutting corners, even when sometimes it was the easiest way. Robby was the therapist who would always get me to go the extra mile for each workout, and I am very appreciative of that. Jess was the "quiet one" but would always let me try to go past my limits for the moments that it was appropriate to do so. Together, they help me to get back to sport almost two months ahead of schedule! Experience Momentum has an Alter-G treadmill, Blood-flow Restriction training, Plyometrics implements amongst an allotment of other things that I needed for my Achilles rupture recovery. They have amazing aides that help with workouts and make the experience more tolerable. The receptionists are very diligent and helpful with finding time slots that worked beautifully for my schedule. Plenty of parking available as well. But for me, the best thing about Experience Momentum was the feeling that these professionals cared about me and my outcome. I felt right at home in this atmosphere, where I was more than just a patient, I was amongst friends. Let me tell you, its easier to do those workouts, when you believe that people helping you really give a crap! I am forever grateful to all of people I met while going through this awful injury! I could have gone somewhere else to get treatment, but I know in my heart that it would have not been the same. Experience Momentum is the best physical therapy office I found. I've needed physical therapy two other times since moving to the area more than 10 years ago. The therapists treat the entire patient not just the injury or area needing attention. There is an energy and vibrance in the therapists and the patients undergoing therapy that I've not experienced elsewhere. They accept my insurance plan; the facility is clean, bright, and has more machines, tools, and workout gear than the other PT offices I've visited. All of this helps me to be better. read more

Update! I have now been going to Experience Momentum for about a year. My foot issue that I originally came in for is non-existent, unless I wear some flats (and in that case I'm pretty much asking for foot issues so I try to avoid it). I bought some really supportive shoes from Macy's combined with a basic insole from a podiatrist, and simply do not have problems with my feet unless I do very specific exercises designed to put stress on my feet. Megan graduated me from my PT sessions with her in January since I was doing so well, but I didn't want to leave and have had knee issues for most of my life. I had had a couple doctors look at my knees and tell me I should do physical therapy but I never had the time. Now I do and honestly I'd make time just to go to Experience Momentum because I enjoy being there. So I'm back with Megan but now doing PT for my knees, and also using ASTYM which is a godsend on my extremely tight backs of my legs. A note to the owners - if there is ever a way to do ONLY ASTYM sort of as a maintenance I would pay for it, because it helps my legs so much. It's unbelievable. When Megan graduated me in January she suggested I look at the fitness plans since I had talked with her multiple times about wanting to lift weights. I'm shy so I shelled out the fairly priced $$$ for a personal trainer, which happened to be Isaiah. I was shocked to learn that Isaiah is also amazing, like Megan. He pays attention to my body movement so I don't injure myself, notes my weak spots, and makes things challenging enough so that I have fun and am exhausted in a positive way by the end of our session. I have not once felt discouraged, confused or out of place which is a pretty huge achievement for someone as awkward as myself. Basically, if you need physical therapy, go here. If you need a massage, go here. If you want to join a fitness group, go here. If you want custom one-on-one training sessions, go here. I had a wonderful experience at Experience Momentum. Jenny and Becky worked with me and helped me expedite my recovery from a soccer knee injury. They were always so positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They built a great program specific to me. It started simpler and the exercises got more difficult as I spent more time working on my knee, building my strength back up. They knew I wanted to get back to playing soccer, so they threw in more soccer-related agility training later on; the program felt very personalized. Every week they provided a helpful at-home exercise program to help my knee recovery. Overall, when I started PT, I felt like my knee was hopeless, and I quickly changed my tune thanks to the support of this team. Their optimism and expertise helped my get back to playing soccer in less than 6 months, much faster than I would have on my own. read more

In February I had a two level cervical spine disc replacement. I saw the great folks at EM both before and then critically after the surgery. I worked with many of them as a team, but mostly with Jenny Norris and Kelsey. I credit them a great deal with the incredible progress I've made. Within 2 months post surgery I was back to doing 90% of the things I could do before. Within 3 months I'm playing sports at higher physical capability than before surgery. They were always encouraging and informative. I'd go back if needed for anything and I sent my wife there when she had hamstring issues. read more

I am so happy my PCP referred me to Experience Momentum! I'd been dealing with off-and-on lower back pain thanks to the pandemic and switching to working at home (story of many of our lives, amirite?), and after 3 weeks of constant pain, I'd had enough. PCP referred me to EM at that time, and my near-weekly visits with them soon became the highlight of my week--not just because of the pain relief, but because they're genuinely fantastic people. I frankly wanted to hug them when I "graduated" and didn't have to come anymore! :) (They did do a neat little graduation activity--so fun to have that acknowledgement and the entire staff and patients present joining in the celebration!) I love that EM brings in PT students to watch/shadow, be a second pair of eyes, and even run us patients through our paces. I got to know a couple of the students and other FTE PTs in addition to Dr. David Patrick (my primary PT for the duration), and they were all great; both knowledgeable and kind. I loved that the PTs took the time to get to know me as a person AND as a patient; they even incorporated some of my fave regular workouts into my PT exercises (or put them in workout terms I would remember)! The front-desk staff are super friendly and helpful, as well. Everyone here truly cares about your health. Ryan helped me with an injured shoulder. He was thorough and knowledgeable. After working through the program he set up for me and a couple visits I was able to get back to my activities. I've worked with other doctors here to speed injury recovery (knee, wrist) and they have all been great! This place is amazing. Try a bootcamp, CrossFit, or the flexibility class. The staff is so in tune with how the human body moves. You will learn something every visit. Each coach (sometimes one of the doctors) will help you make the workout fit your ability. I was having knee pain that was progressively getting worse over the months. At first I was seeing a chiropractor that didn't really seem to be helping, so my partner suggested I check out Experience Momentum. She had previously done her PT here and found that it helped a lot, so I figured why not? I'm so glad I did! After a few months of working with Tyler and Robby, my knee pain had pretty much gone away. For months, sitting on the ground was excruciating and I would have a hard time getting back up. Even lying in bed was painful if my leg wasn't in a certain position. Now I'm able to sit on the ground for long periods of time and sleep like normal without any pain! I had a shoulder injury from my two growing wiggly twins. The chiro diagnosed me with tendonitis. My shoulder began hurting in April and due to COVID lockdown, I was reluctant to seek care but finally broke down and sought chiropractic care in July. I was making minimal improvements so in October, I decided to explore physical therapy care. I found Experience Momentum via Yelp. They were the only PT specialists in the area with five stars. I have been seeking EM's care twice a week since October and already I have been seeing progress. I have a team of three that work with me: David, Carly, and Megan. Each on of them is amazing. Their knowledge of the body and muscles is immense and thorough. For example, they may have me engage in a certain exercise which I find causes me slight pain. Once I express that I feel pain, they recommend modifying the exercise with a slight move and I find that their recommendation makes a world of difference and I can engage in the exercise with no pain. Another therapy they introduced me to is Cupping. If you don't know what it is, look it up... I have personally found it to be AMAZING! Cupping has really helped my shoulder pain and has helped soften my stiff muscles. NOTE: If you engage in cupping, you may have huge bruises for a could days but well worth it! As a side note... As I have gotten to know each therapist, I've noticed how each speaks so highly of Experience Momentum. The employee morale and culture sound extremely healthy. Based off what they have told me, I assess that management really cares for their employees well being. They offer accommodating work schedules, emphasize work/life balance, seek employee thoughts/opinions and implements changes based off employee recommendations. EM management truly embraces a collaborative environment which engages their workforce . Everyone I have encountered at EM seems to be very happy and they are always very friendly, making my overall experience enjoyable. Parking: Huge parking lot for their large facility. COVID: Everyone is required to wear a mask. Upon arrival, you are asked to text the front desk to check in. After checking in, they ask you to wait in your car until the therapist comes to collect you. Hand sanitizer is plentiful and a bathroom is also available. The therapists sanitize all areas after each client's use. One thing I noticed they do not do upon entry is scan temperature. Other than that, pretty COVID safe. read more

I went to Experience Momentum due to a back and Knee issue. The professional service was outstanding and the clear communication with the doctor was top notch. They emailed me my updated workout routine so that I could maximize my recovery at home when not in the gym working with them. Simply a great place to get help to heal the body and get back to living life. Dr. Ryan Keaton, DPT was outstanding, and I could not recommend him enough. As an active person in the gym and on the mountain skiing, Ryan helped me get moving forward for a better quality of life. Back in 2021 I had an accident that required two surgeries on my collarbone. A friend from work recommend this business and I can't say enough good things about them. Day 1 was hard because I could barely move my right arm. After just the first visit I had noticeably more range. Not day and night but a noticeable difference. I worked with three of the staff over the course of six months and regained 99% the range I lost after both surgeries. I have some stretches to make sure I don't lose any of the progress we've made but it's all very manageable. This was my first time with physical therapy and their help was the difference between having my arm tucked against my side forever or going back to a normal life. read more

Never a dull moment, Erin brings her "A game" to every session. Erin custom builds my training program and dynamically adapts it based on how my body responds. Over the past several months, I have spent just as much time laughing throughout my workout as I have spent grunting from exhaustion. My body and soul haven't felt this wonderful in ages, and Erin's brilliance, kindness, and wit have been a huge part of my transformation both inside and out. (Thanks, Erin!) To be clear, Erin isn't the only amazing personal trainer at Experience Momentum. I have had the privilege of working with and interacting with many trainers and watching their classes. Each person brings their own special spark. I especially want to call out Taylor who leads CrossFit classes and trained me for several weeks. Training with Taylor was also a total joy. She taught me to dig deeper and find strength I didn't know I had, while teaching me lots of new lifting moves. 5 stars for the Physical therapy: Brent, Ryan and Stephanie are all freaking amazing. I cannot possibly thank them enough for all of the work they do and how fun they are to work with. I'm so happy with the progress I have made! 2 stars for the billing process: I went in on my first appointment and asked them to please charge my copay because I know how much my copay is. They said they couldn't do that because they didn't know how much it is. Sigh. Knowing I'm gonna get hit with a bill greater than $300 at some point because copays add up when you are paying 2x a week. Sure enough it happened because it took them almost 2 months to get my copay (which was EXACTLY how much I told them it was). I understand you have your processes but it is a lot less painful to pay the copays as they come up then get slammed with a huge bill at once. read more

I went to physical therapy for about 4 months for a shoulder climbing injury. Over the course of those months I worked with Dr. Brent Hashiba, Dr. Robby Boyles, Dr. Stephanie Magnin, and Peter who all were fantastic. I really enjoyed having a team to work with because they each were able to provide different perspectives and approaches for well rounded and personalized care. Started out at this gym about 2 + years ago with its noon time boot camp classes and eventually booked some sessions with one of EM's trainers - Christi - who trained me through a terrain race, a multi-day hike through the Tiger Leaping Gorge in China, and now general weight training with an emphasis on my *physical* problem areas (not problem areas caused by mental anguish, which are usually exacerbated by extreme physical exercise). Experience Momentum is full service, meaning it provides fitness classes - bootcamp, crossfit, cycling, run camps, function/mobility, yoga - to PT, massage, nutritional counseling, and personal training. If you train and do PT here, for example, the practioners and your trainer communciate with each other about any mobility issues you may have, so that both can work together to resolve any issues, or meet any Ironman goals you may have. Prior to Our Great Virus, the boot camp classes I had attended were at noon and they never had more than a dozen people. Each bootcamp has a focus (ie. Core, lower body), and some (used to) involve partner work. I believe these classes are now offered virtually and also on a limited in-person basis. In response to the virus, EM has also set up some canopied outdoor area for getting your sweat on, as well as clearly designated "stations" for indoor group classes. For our weekly training sessions, my trainer is always masked up and obsessively cleans each piece of equipment I am forced to push, sweat and groan over. Despite the pandemic, training sessions are as arduous as ever, with an emphasis on muscle building...but not at the expense of hip/back pain. With Christi's PT and weight training knowledge, my routines are usually a combination of heavy weights/low reps interspersed with some mobility exercises to keep any potential pain from cropping up and taking over. EM's prices are reasonable for classes and personal training, and their philosophy of giving back to the community is great and much needed, especially at this time. read more

They both help me pretty much be able to walk again. I owe a lot to both of them. They both are dedicated and figure out exercises and movements that will help you out. I have been going to EM for services and fitness classes since 2011. Shanon, Blake and Geoff (and all the rest) are simply amazing. They fixed my knee which allowed me to run. In 2013, when bad running shoes and form caused plantar fasciitis, they worked with me to fix it and get me back on my feet (literally). In 2015, when a hamstring injury lead to a meniscus tear, they helped heal and strengthen me before and after surgery. This year I decided to go for my third Ironman. With Dr. Blake Carney and Dr. Blake Stephens helping me keep my mobility up and trainer Christi Meyer, helping to strengthen my end range of motion, I noticed my running and biking times getting faster. Now that that journey is over, my next journey is to get my knee fixed and I know they will be in my corner for that as well! read more

My doctor recommended this location. I have Achilles Tendonosis. I was walking with a boot & a platform & a bad right hip. I started my sessions on 3/5/2020. I can attest that after 3 onsite & 16 telehealth sessions I can walk for 2+ miles on flat surfaces! I no longer need the boot nor platform nor constant ache of the right hip. Amazing!! I thank Stephanie & Taylor for this and Melissa for w/scheduling all these appointments. Unfortunately, the billing department is disastrous! The invoices are slow, inaccurate, dates of services are all over the place vs. sequential like most other institutions. Invoices to insurance companies are billed with variances of codes for services. When asked why there are 2 codes vs 1 code used? Answer: this is how it is. Unfortunately, continuous incorrect invoices caused "the straw that broke the camel's back". Do I recommend the staff? YES! Billing? Verify all. read more

I have been working with Ryan, David, and Tyler for quite some time now. Some during my pre op surgery and majority post op surgery. They have been helping me regain full function of my knee after I tore my ACL and Meniscus. I am very pleased with all the physical therapy provided, and they are very enjoyable to be around as well. If it wasn't for Sharleen, Robbie and Brittany I would have never thought I could hike again. After 3 1/2 months I hit the trails and never looked back. I can not recommend Experience Momentum enough! I have gone there for both nutrition and physical therapy and have had nothing but great experiences. For physical therapy, I've now rehabbed two injuries with them (one minor, one major -so graceful) and have appreciated their combination of professionalism and approachability. I've been in great hands on my injury journey and they've gotten me on the road to full health quickly AND safely. I've also been working with Crystal, one of their Registered Dietitians, for nearly two years and it has been so beneficial to my health and my relationship with food. She's not only helped me figure out the best foods for me to fuel with and the best strategies for me to be more intentional about my eating, but she's also helped me think about the best ways to feed my family (including one very selective eater and her more adventurous brother)! I also worked with her pre- and post-surgery to help dial in the best foods and supplements to for my recovery and I credit my quick recovery to that work, combined with the PT. I have been seeing Krista for nutrition. This was in order to help me with nutrition and running a marathon. I was not recovering well on the other 3 marathons I ran. This last one due to getting nutritional help had made my experience so much different. Before my legs were stiff and I was eating and not feeling well. This time with better fueling and better hydration helped me PR when I didn't expect to. My goal was just to finish. My legs didn't seize, I have been able to recover so much faster. Listening to my body cues of eating really have helped me this round. I could not be more thankful for Kristas help. Next marathon... Here I come! read more
