This agent is terrible and should not be in the real estate business. His personal website has 215 reviews that all are five stars, but FAKE. Please go to other website such as Yelp, google, you will find many terrible reviews from his previous clients. My experience was terrible. I had such bad luck to have him to list my million dollars mansion by the Michigan Lake, referred by my good friend. Do you know what he did during preparing the listing? He just came once, and enforced me to sign the contract right away. Otherwise, he would be extremely unhappy shown in his face. In this visit, I expected the advice from him what should be improved to sell it quick since there is some little touchup or cleaning to make it ready. However, he said something totally opposite of what my stager said. As for the small touchup and work, he suggested me to hire some handyman or professionals to do it, and then gave me a list. I called several contractors, and just hold one. That contractor came and gave me a quote three or four times of market price, that was crazy. What's more, that contractor didn't email me the quote directly, instead, emailed him. He called me that I had to use that contractor, otherwise, he couldn't list the house with the price I want. I tried to tell him that the quote is way much over priced, and I cannot afford it. He cut off my saying right away. He rated my mansion as 1 out of 10 scale, and thought my million dollar mansion like a x hole. That is ridiculous. My house is a million dollar mansion just completely renovated, not a small poor house. It is just not deep cleaned, needs some touchup or little work, not fully ready yet. It seems that he didn't appreciate the listing and my house at all. In the whole process, he just visited my house once. Surprisingly, he told my friend he visited my house three times. Actually, it is the photographer to stop by twice to take some photos. That pissed me off. What is more ridiculous, I hired the stager to stage the house, and sent him the beautiful photos after staging, and told him that the staging was done. Surprisingly, he said that I didn't stage the house at all, and told my friend that I just used my own garbage furniture to stage the house. Sarcastically, that stager is on the list he recommended. I just didn't hire another stager he commended. I don't know what is the relationship between him and another stager named Mary. If I kept saying, the lists will keep growing here. Cut everything in short, it was such an unpleasant experience to deal with him. If the listing agent thought my house like a shit hole, and didn't appreciate the house, how can he persuade buyers into a contract and sell it finally? After talking with my family and some friends, they felt so uncomfortable with his saying and doing. Therefore, I decided to cancel this listing with him. I sent him an official email to explain the reasons to terminate the 6 month contract with him. He totally ignored my email, instead, he asked when he can list my house. I replied to his weird email and told him clearly again that I would terminate the contract with him. I didn't get his response at all, no matter how many emails or text message I sent. It seems that he disappeared from the world. My friend called him so many times, left many voicemails, or sent him emails, no any response from him. I had all the emails, text message to prove my saying here. What he did makes him terrible. I cannot believe that there is realtor like this since there is law to regulate the behaviors of realtor. His license should be suspended, and this guy should be out of real estate business forever. NEVER NEVER deal with him. Terrible. read more

The idiot kept calling me every 2 3 months about my house. It was put on the market more than a year ago and sold within a month by myself. I told him the same answer: the house was sold. I am sorry to report but the Roth Team are like vultures to me. Took my house off the market to relist with another agent and in the interim my entire family (kids included) receive SO MANY repeated telemarketing calls from the Roth Team. We asked them- if they are so interested in listing/selling my property then why didn't they show it or sell it when it was previously listed? They state that they didn't show it or sell it because they weren't the listing agent. We tell them that it is already relisted but they continue to hound all of us as hungry vultures. They don't respect family privacy since they call little kids cell phones. They also don't take "no" for an answer. My experience with the Roth Team is not positive and I am being completely honest. read more

I live in California but inherited my father's house in Mequon. The house was in disrepair and had a mold problem so it didn't qualify for traditional bank financing. My estate liquidator recommended the Roth team because they have experience handling cash sales. Mike Roth constantly interrupted me and was pushy about making changes. Instead of showing up for the initial visit to the house, Mike sent his nephew without letting me know about the change in plans. Because the key to the front door was missing, the nephew recommended having a locksmith change all the locks in the house to fit the same key. I paid for that. The nephew also recommended painting over the mold and getting a cheap mold eradication certificate. Also, after re-keying the house, the nephew installed the lockbox at a side door instead of at the front door as Mike had wanted. It was the quick and dirty recommendation for covering up the mold problem along with the miscommunication about the lockbox location that made me start to question the integrity of the Roth team. I went online and found that the Roth team averaged 1-star reviews on all websites other than his own. I let Mike know that I would be interviewing other realtors and outlined a specific date when I would let him know if I would hire him to represent me in the transaction. Mike called and emailed me multiple times before the day I told him I would let him know. It was his pushiness that made it very clear that he was not someone I wanted to work with. The good news, I hired another agent. The house sold in 36 hours to a cash buyer who paid $60K over the asking price. read more

I'm not happy with Mike Roth and Shorewest so far. Answers are slow via email, and the 10-step marketing plan does not seem very robust. I am now doing some research into what I should expect with the type of high-end home I have. They sent 100 postcards to home owners. Of course 0 results. I will change and upgrade my review here when and if we start getting some real activity. In a month we have gotten 1 real showing, and a second showing we busted our butts to accommodate only to find it was another agent checking it out. It will also be interesting to see what happens to this review, since it's funny that there are 0 positive reviews out here about the Roth Team (outside of a marketing service whose content they control), and a few negative reviews seem to be missing when you click to expand the review. I will be happy to revise my review upwards when I see some showings. For now, I would advise caution when considering the Roth team. read more

Called me at 0730 the very next morning my listing expired with another realtor. Then 4 times the next 2 days. Very pushy. Roth team will ignore any request you give them except the ones that will lead them to money. Mike, I asked you once not to call me, the number was not listed on the MLS for their solicitation. Dont give me "oh you must have talked with another team member. It was there for my realtor to get a hold of me. Stop calling me, the home is no longer for sale. Filed complaint with do not call registry as my number was registered. read more
