I vist out of season and it's a nice, clean, beach, with a view of 2 lighthouses. It's a good sized beach to walk along, enjoy the views, catch a sunrise or sunset, particularly when barely anyone is there. Plenty of parking and not too far a walk to the beach (except when it's packed).

It also has a lit up wrap around deck and a fireplace for those chilly nights! VERY reasonable price to rent out this venue hall considering it's in Fairfield and on the beach. This is a perfect venue for any type of reunion, party, wedding, or simply going to the beach and enjoying the summer weather. The staff were very accommodating for what was needed during the rental process!

Found two pieces of sea glass but not many seashells to be found at all. I think maybe because of the short protrusions? Maybe it was just the day? I'll be back and will update the review. Set-up some volley ball, frisbee can, corn hole, and few people fished along the shore. Looks like they also have a beach and place to launch kayaks. Our picnic was in mid-September, since those activities looked like they were done for the season, we'll have to wait until next year, if we go a bit earlier.

Getting out to the main road was a total nightmare, when every one was leaving at the same time. The sand is rough with a million seashells to step on. It's so bad I kept my slippers on, even in the water. Although there's a lot of algae, the water is so clean there were guppies swimming around. There was a few people past the water border and the life guard wasn't paying attention. My daughter told me she almost drowned, so I told her to stay on the sand with us for the rest of the day.. because when I glanced over the guard was too busy chatting with a girl instead of watching the water. Good thing the food line was small when we ordered fries. Brianna was friendly. The fries tasted warm and fresh. A few hrs later the line was way too long, which sucked because I would have bought some more juice when I ran out. We came in 10 am, the people collecting admissions were very nice. By the time the evening came the beach was overcrowded, some people were walking on my blanket; not sure if this is legal to have so many people occupying such a small space. The show was really pretty, but I rather not come here again.

I'm a Bridgeport resident so the entry was $100. We didn't think it was worth it so we headed home. Then we changed our minds like whatever. We made a wrong turn & to our surprise we found a public parking around the corner. We were beyond delighted. Although we found public parking it was $25 per family for walk-ins. Attendants up front @ the admission entry were very friendly & nice! Ocean water was very clean you could see the fishes. We loved it. Make sure you bring water shoes there are a ton of seashells & rocks in the sand & water. Fireworks show was amazing! The only thing was we were caught up in traffic when it ended which sucked. The show was sooo worth it though! Hope all you Yelpers had a happy 4th! I know I did!

The rundown graffiti ridden building where the bathrooms and first aid room used to be was an eyesore. Considering they charge $30 entry fee they could clean up, fix up or knock down the graffiti ridden building. The carousel looks beautiful. Really nice views across the ocean.

$30? Are you insane?…read more 9am on a holiday weekend and the parking lot was empty. We just wanted to see the lighthouse but there is no dang way that I'm paying that much. Or even half that much. For ten minutes or ten hours, that's a crazy fee. The only positive is that the dude in the payment booth was nice about it. On to the next!
