The sealing around the vents needed improvement, which they did. The quality of the shingles are also good with Owens Corning Warranty. They started the project as soon as they stated. However, the skipped a day and went to another project without letting us know. Then they showed up late the next day. Communication was challenging: no answer most of the time, had to leave numerous messages. The pricing was good overall but they charged $60 for a 2X4 when we did not even use the 3 sheets of plywood included in the contract. It was difficult to get completion photos from them but finally got them.

As soon as the roof was complete, they took off for a more lucrative job, and it was many weeks before they returned to clean up. Even then, they left some rubble and many many nails behind. In 2004 ;four hurricanes passed through Gainesville and we lost our roof; a friend in the building trades recommended McDavid. We were very pleased with their work and their professionalism. In 2022 it was time for a new roof again, and McDavid completed the job in three days. It cost less than I had anticipated. The crew were friendly, polite, and very competent. I was home most of the time, and noticed that they talked little and worked steadily. I was amazed when they apologized for the mess - I don't see how you can tear a roof off a house without making a mess. On the afternoon of the third day they cleaned it all up down to the last scrap and even rehung the plants. I will recommend them to anyone who asks.

It took 3 days start to finish and we had alot of repair work needed too. We learned of some minimal property damage after we paid the full invoice.
