There is a setting in your profile to increase the power. The default for everyone is five out of ten. I moved my power up to seven and it's relatively close to what my two doppler radar shows. It's about 7 to 8 yards of carry off, but I can deal with that. I could move it up to an eight, but then my half shot wedges may go 140 yards. Uggg. I personally would rather have more distance accurate tee shots than wedge shots so this works for me.

Weekend green fees were $90 per player that included a motorized cart which was appreciated on a very hot humid day. 4:20 to play 18 holes which is not bad for a weekend on a busy course. The rangers on course were nice and kept things moving. They do accept youth in course but they cannot make are tee time on the championship course so basically on paper they accept it but in reality is impossible for them to get on the course. They can have a junior pay the junior fee after 1pm. Of course they can play on the executive 9 with no restrictions. Overall a good experience. A few impatient other golfers in the course that we saw or interacted with, but it is Edina right?!?!! Location is the biggest strength along with good course conditions.

Seemingly very accurate mini maps and range predictions within the sim also helped me judge where I could land on the course based on the strength of my swing. They've got some small food options and a decent variety of drinks as well if you need something while you play. Everything inside felt clean and modern. The staff was also very friendly, and informative. They took extra time to explain to us all aspects of the simulator and made sure we had a great time!

The simulator uses marked golf balls to measure spin rates. There's a neat combo ball feeder / ball picker you can use to avoid bending down all the time. One downside is the "tees", which are plastic cylinders that fly everywhere, including under the front screen somehow. There are quite a few courses you can play, including 2-3 dozen local courses, which was pretty neat. Bay setup took a few minutes, and you will need to call the assistant to pick a course to play. I went in the morning, so I didn't have the opportunity to partake of their menu, but I saw that they offer pizza, tacos, and even a selection of decent beer. Cost is reasonable at $29/hr on weekdays before 5, and $39/hr other times. Note that it takes about an hour for one person to play 18 holes, or about four hours for four people to play a full round.

For years, I have played at Inside Edge and have not found my rhythm due to spinny tee shots and…read moresuper long wedges. It was not only Inside Edge but all of the simulators. I tried to find a place that didn't have a 3800rpm backspin tee shot and yes, Taylor Made fit me with an estimated 2100 rpm spin rate. I decided to give them a try again because I had free sim hours from my tournament play. I have excellent news. I brought in my prgr doppler radar device to check distance and ball speed. The prgr device has been verified to be +-1 mph clubhead and ball speed to a Trackman and to my surprise it was spot on for most of our players. See pics. The upgraded screens and software has closed the gap between ficticious and real golf. We plan on coming back for the multiple screen simSurround. We may have found our new place!

As the most recent review is from 2019, I thought I'd weigh in…read more I've been visiting Inside Edge for several years (less so during the pandemic), trying to improve driver speed. A buddy and me visited several times last December, reserving the closed "Curved Bay" room to limit exposure, but no one is using masks anymore. They have 3 types of bays: 7 standard bays, one with a curved screen in a bigger room, and one wrap-around screen in a separate room. Frankly, I've found that the standard bays are just fine, and are a bit less expensive. The driving range simulation provides a number of stats and allows you to compare and average stats for shots for any club. Of course, the measurements don't seem to always match outdoor reality, but they seem consistent relative to each other. Compared to my portable Garmin monitor, it seems a bit more accurate. You use their balls, which are marked to allow the camera to immediately assess spin. However, there is no replay to visually show you how your clubface actually hit the ball. There are a number of courses you can play from throughout the world, but there are many famous ones that aren't available. Even so, there are enough that I've probably only played 20% of those available. They recently installed a software update that added more courses. The biggest problem I have with indoor simulators centers around depth perception on shorter shots; "feel" doesn't cut it, so you have to learn how far to hit or putt based on distance to the pin. Also, it doesn't appear that this simulator actually reflect a difference hitting from trap or deep rough. Sam manages the facility most weekday mornings, which is when I tend to play as there is an appreciable discount for seniors playing before noon. Sam does a good job in getting everything set up (and then fixing something after I've screwed up by fiddling with the interface). They offer a selection of sports drinks, water and beer, as well as some microwaveable snacks I believe.

The main building was closed but signs indicate there is a marketplace available on the weekends. Otherwise the course looks beautiful, there is a large easy access parking lot and allowing sculpture access brings attention to this business.
