The guys are always really friendly and helpful and, although, the place is often crowded with annoyed people, they manage to stay calm and friendly. It's a bit of a pain to drive in here, depending on which side of Payneham road you're coming from but once you're there, there's usually enough parking space. Their office is quite small but they tried to make it as convenient as they can if you have to wait for a longer time by putting heaps of magazines, a TV, a water dispenser and toilets in there. John, who runs the place, is one of those old school friendly, reliable and trustworthy mechanics. The repairs are always done promptly and well and they offer a "chauffeur service" if you can't get home. It is a small, family run business and it is run well. John's other mechanic whom I call "smiley" because he is, and I cant remember his name, is also great. Last time I had my car in for servicing he noticed some other little thing on the body of the car that was bent out of shape (don't ask me any technical terms ) and went out of his way to fix it. I would highly recommend this auto repairs, especially for females who don't know anything about cars because you won't get ripped off! Tip: It is a little hard to find when you go for the first time as the signage doesn't stand out.

I must say I was impressed with the convenience of this place, especially since it's right in the city on North Terrace. When driving past, you just follow the signs that lead you to a car park around the corner where you leave your car. There was heaps of space so no issues there. You then take the elevator down into the building where their office is located and service was so quick that we were in and out in less than a minute. Perfect!

It was way above what was quoted to me last week for this one day. Wouldn't budge when I pointed it out. Promised the kids a road trip that day and had no time to shop around. At some point, human decency has to be the priority instead of overcharging a customer.

This is where I will normally go in order to get my car serviced or repaired. Originally owned by a…read moreman I referred to as Pak, the business has since been sold to one of the people who used to work for him. That said, the service is still good and the price I pay for it is reasonable as well. I really got tired of being taken on a ride with a lot of other franchised car service centres which shall remain unnamed, who would charge me 4 times than what I would normally pay because they managed to find things that "had" to be fixed in the car. Not knowing anything or much about cars, this made me an easy target for places like these and eventually I caught on that half of the things they recommended fixing were not critical to safety. Sure, your car runs better, things would be newer, but was it necessary? No, not all. At Paks auto you can expect a fair price, and the owner will call you up before he does anything outside of what you have asked him to do, such as if he finds something that really does need repairing. They do general servicing and repairs so if you live in the area and are looking for a place to do any of that with your car, swing by Paks Auto.

They started out as a great reasonably priced mechanic offering most normal automotive services. Now they have moved and are in bigger premises with D & C they are even better.
