When I stated $1,000 was fair, I was called back with an offer under $700. I reviewed my invoices and found questionable charges that appear to have been added just to deplete my balance--nothing transparent, nothing discussed ahead of time. Their recent response is trying to frame this as a misunderstanding and minimize their responsibility, saying they only assisted with the affidavit. That may be what was formally retained, but it was not the reality of how they operated. I was misled, and I don't appreciate the attempt to rewrite history after I raised concerns.
