This is our favorite theatre! We love the location, reclining seats! My kids love the arcade & bowling

2 out of 5 stars Showbiz Cinemas Edmond has become seriously disappointing. This used to be the theater in Edmond -- comfortable, clean, and somewhere you actually looked forward to going. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. The seats are badly worn out and uncomfortable. Many of them feel collapsed and overdue for replacement. The theaters themselves were dirty overall, and the cup holders looked like they haven't been properly cleaned in ages. The bathrooms were the worst part of the experience. The smell of sewage was overwhelming, and the cleanliness was honestly unacceptable for a public entertainment venue. I'm genuinely surprised the Edmond or Oklahoma health department hasn't stepped in to address the condition of the restrooms. It's frustrating because this place used to set the standard locally. Now it feels neglected and run down. Edmond deserves better. read more

Oh man! Showbiz used to be my favorite theater, as I'd drive 30 miles to watch a movie at this theater. However, Sunday changed that. Honestly worst movie theater experience in okc/edmond area. Better off going to AMC at one of the malls, I promise you. I can't believe the seats we paid to "lounge" in. Huge tears in the cushions to where it digs into your skin and cheeks. First of all, we took our two children and my husbands parents. One stale popcorn was $10. The kiosk leading to the screening rooms was unmanned. We stood there forever. I finally used their scanner to scan my own tickets. No one ever showed up. The recliners were in horrible shape: peeling pleather, sticky from grime, making weird sounds upon reclining. The ladies room was the dirtiest bathroom I've encountered. It was a three hour movie. I went before, and refused to go after. I had my husband stop at a gas station rather than go back in there. It's convenient as it's close to my in-law's house, but I was embarrassed that we took them there. read more

Used to love this place, but it appears that they have deferred a lot of maintenance and are not cleaning well either. The theater seats are cracked, dirty, and sound like a grinder when you recline them. The theaters are otherwise dirty and sticky. A good chunk of the bathroom stalls were out of order. The prices have went up, while the quality has went down. Icon cinema isn't far away and is much cleaner. read more

Why the heck would you have the air conditioning on in the winter month of January? Im siting in a movie on Jan 31st when the temp is 11 degrees outside and youre blowing the AC like it was the middle of July. Made my experience terrible and throughly unknowable. read more

I have to give "1" star: The seats in theater 5 are horrible so avoid it! Some of the seats don't recline, they are worn and desperately needs to be replaced! One literally will drop into the because the springs are "not springing"! Do better SB!!! read more

Man.. another 2 years of disappointment. A few years ago when it opened, there seemed to be a lot of pride and potential here, but now it's just another "meh," entertainment venue disguised as a theater. We've had multiple issues over the last few years mostly related to a lack of proper management. I feel like this place is just forgotten. Like an investment company opened it and nobody who actually cares ever comes to check on it. As long as money comes in every month, it stays open and unchecked. The SDX theater for example currently has a dirty projector with visible smudges on the screen. The chairs are all in need of being reupholstered, half are stuck together at this point. The audio is messed up so when the Dolby audio ad plays it gives this awful piercing noise before what I'm guessing is the speaker that's trying to work, finally shorts out. And this is the premier screening room! We watched Wicked last night and half of the movie sounded like it was being funneled through laptop speakers. We've been to several big premiers and they've had issues such as John Wick chapter 4 where they couldn't even get the movie going and after an hour had to give everyone a voucher for a future movie - which btw couldn't even be redeemed online. Another premier was a special event for Clerks 3 and we all missed the special live intro because they couldn't figure out how to load the screening in time in addition to having NONE of the posters or giveaways. Same with 3 From Hell and Scream 6 which was a special event missing the posters. Last night was wicked and you'd never even know - zero decor, zero promotions, no popcorn buckets, nothing. It's just always something here. Most times the Edmond location is the last to have updates, so when Showbiz makes a social media post saying tickets are on presale, you can bet this location isn't loaded or ready yet and may not be for days after. This is a disaster for big movies that are likely to sell out. Venue wise, the posters out front are haphazardly hung, most are falling or loose and there's just ZERO pride to be found. The concessions do not offer any of the cool popcorn boxes or any of the posters or giveaways that other theaters do for special events. Every single theater is full of moths and has been for years. And I guess now their bar is closed, or at least it was last night. This place might be fine if you don't care about cinema and just need a place to bring your kids or something, but if you're a serious movie goer, you should look elsewhere. read more

We visited ShowBiz Cinema Edmond after church around 12:30, and once again, it did not disappoint! There was only one other family bowling, so check-in was quick and easy. We were immediately greeted by our waitress, who was AMAZING -- prompt, attentive, and so sweet with my 5-year-old daughter. She even danced with her and gave her an extra spin to the music, which absolutely made her day! The atmosphere was perfect -- great music (I loved all the 80s rock and 90s hits!), fun lighting, and a relaxed vibe. The food was really good; the only thing we weren't fans of were the eggrolls, but everything else hit the spot. The kids had a blast playing games afterward -- just the right amount of arcade options for them to play, get their prizes, and for us parents to head home without a struggle. This was our second time bowling here, and it was another great experience from start to finish. Well done, ShowBiz Edmond! We'll definitely be back. read more

So glad to have a movie theatre and entertainment place on this side of Edmond! We've always had a good experience whether bowling, playing games, or watching a movie. Comfortable seats in the theatre and attentive staff in the bowling area. Food, drinks, and cocktails are available. Food is ok, don't go thinking you're getting gourmet. read more

Moths! Every visit there are moths flying around the theater. These moths are known to live in dry goods. Seems like they need a good deep cleaning of their theaters and food storage closet. Yuck! read more

This is so close to our house we can't help but frequent it. My daughter had an epic birthday party there three years ago. We've seen dozens of movies there, both as a family and for a date night with drinks. The games are good but often about a fifth of them are broken. The bowling alley is great. Various kiddo games, bumpers and yeah its great. A little pricey for me but maybe I just don't know what bowling costs anymore. They have a bar! Great for the adults in your group that can't sit through the latest iteration of The Minions without a cocktail with them, I get it. The concessions are flawless, well occasionally they don't have my dollar dogs but otherwise they are hitting on all cylinders. Theatres are clean and they run all of our favorites. Never had any disruptions or shenanigans which is refreshing. There was one time that we were there to see Deadpool 2 and the audio didn't work. Wife and I rolled with it, especially when they gave us multiple rain checks to make it up to us. In the summertime the kiddos love going on Tuesdays for the discounted tickets. The restaurant / kitchen :( They used to have seasonal menus and a great selection but this Sunday we learned that they are in transition and MOST of the menu wasn't available. Service has definitely taken a hit recently. Understandable in this labor market, especially in the service industry BUT its not the lack of people that seems to be the problem. It is the lack of 'Give a sh..'. We waited for 15 minutes for a server on a lane to tab out after the lane time expired. It was explained to us that it was due to shift change but we saw the new waitstaff on the floor for 30 minutes prior to our lane expiring. Icon is a little further away and doesn't have the amenities but if there were something not too much further with similar stuff, we would probably make the trek until Showbiz improves. read more

This theater has really fallen from grace over the last few years. Seats in the premier SDX theater are worn and look absolutely horrible. Seat G13 would not recline, and I had to move to another seat. Hopefully some investment will go into this place soon. Until then, I will not be going back. read more

Love the seating, the screen and sound. Has place for food, snacks, drinks, games and bowling. Adequate parking. Accessible.

Well, I'm currently in the first ten minutes of the F1 movie and I'm absolutely off my rocker. Not just the film but the movie experience and the environment itself adds so much to the experience. Seriously, kudos to the management team on a great ran establishment. 10/10 must try again. read more

What a truly disappointing experience. We came to bowl and play games before our movie. The only posted option for bowling is 90 minutes whip is half an hour longer than we'd want. Food and drink was beyond limited. Multiple items from the menu were out of stock. They only have two beers on draft and were out of the other 18. We then went to the arcade and got 2 $50 cards for the four of us. After that, we discovered over half the games were broken, really limiting our options to play. Then comes the actual film. We paid extra to see Wicked (wonderful film!) in SDX for the "premium experience" and that it's a Dolby Atmos theatre. Upon entering the screen, the entire front was littered with trash and popcorn, like they hadn't attempt to sweep for the previous 6 hours. Then once the film starts, the sound is just absolutely flat and boring. It's the worst theater I've seen this film in because it feels like I'm listening through a cheap TV speaker. Not the enhanced screening that SDX and ShowBiz advertise. I'm really never hard to please, but this is honestly the most disappointing experience I've ever had with any concept like this. Turn on the darn heat! Just watched Nosferatu in a theater that felt like it was about 50 degrees. Multiple parties complained and the employees blamed "corporate" for not allowing them to turn on the heat. Unacceptable. Spent $40 to shiver for two hours. read more

This cinema is filthy. There's broken and nonworking toilets and faucets in the bathrooms. There's trash behind every seat. There's sticky floors, dirty doors, dirty sinks, dirty toilets, dirty everything. It was so nice when they first opened and it was well kept for several years as clean as it could be. There's a lot of workers usually for the games and concessions but not enough cleaning staff. I was told that the new owners/management "Hooky Entertainment" won't pay for cleaning employees and the 2 people who "clean" can barely get the trash done and they do not have time to clean anything as it should be done. I hope this improves as the venue is very popular and the paying patrons deserve better. The employees are all very nice and deserve to work in a clean environment as well. read more

UNEMPATHETIC MANAGER! Being a good manager is listening to their customers and trying their hardest to accommodate their needs, especially if the customer is in need of assistance. This was not the case tonight with my husband. To celebrate our son's birthday, we spent the whole afternoon at Showbiz Theatres, participating in all they had to offer, and ended it by and watching a late movie for our son's birthday. We spent hundreds of dollars at Showbiz today, celebrating our son's special day. Our day of celebration ended in a negative way due to the manager not helping my husband by allowing him use the nearest facility because it was "closed and off limits" by the time the movie was over. Because of my husband's medication he had to use the facilities after the movie was over, which was around 12:30am. He also had a procedure done to his back this week so he was not able to move normally as he usually does. He was told by a staff member he had to use the facility across the hallway near the bowling area and our movie was at the other end of the hall. He tried to explain he needed to use the facilities immediately because of his medicine but the staff person would not budge. The manager was brought into the situation and he also would not allow him to do so even though it was again explained about his medicine and request to use the one that was closest to him. I don't see what the issue was. There was maybe 15 people in the movie, so it was basically empty. They could have still made it off limits but allowed my husband to use the facility due to his situation. How hard is that, to show empathy for a customer who clearly couldnt walk across the long hallway to go to the bathroom, when there was literally one right next to him!! The manager didn't even try to help my husband at all. My husband would not have trashed the bathroom and peed all over! Come on! But the manager and the employee were more worried about being unapologetically "right" and winning the debate, they didn't see the need my husband had and the request was still denied. I am upset, disappointed and angry that he was treated so disrespectedly and in front of my son on his birthday. My husband was angry, as he should be. They acted like he was going to go in there and make a big mess and leave! We drove over an hour to spend the day at Showbiz Theatre and even got a room nearby so my son could have a wonderful birthday. But because of the unprofessional, stoic, and heartless manager we encountered, our day of celebration turned into a disappointing night. We are sure to tell our community of the terrible way my husband was treated and recommend no one goes there. There are other places to have celebrations. Our youth groups we are involved in are raising money to take the students to the OKC/Edmond area for a day of fun. We are definitely marking Showbiz off of our list after our encounter! This was our second time here this week. We came for my son's birthday to see Spiderman No Way Home , and we just love the seats that recline and how nice the theater is. The concession stand popcorn and drinks are so much cheaper than AMC. Then we went to the bowling area for my niece's birthday and we have a blast. 12 of us were there on 2 lanes and the little kids got to bowl and " score" on the adults. The food on this side was pretty good too. They were understaffed so that part sucked, but they did help out greatly getting our shoes and lanes. We would definitely recommend this place and love that it is near Guthrie. Also you earn points with their app also. read more

The seats are old, peeling, and they feel dirty. There are flying bugs that fly throughput the entire movie. The trays, cup holders and arm rests are sticky. The theater also has musty smell. It's just not an enjoyable experience. read more

Love this arcade/bowling/theater combination! Great for all ages and lots of cool new arcade games! The theater seats are super comfy and stretch out to recline almost full on horizontal. Nice theater and choices to munch on! Definitely a cool spot! read more

It's longevity is going to be brief in my opinion. It has been moth infested for years. Bathrooms aren't working well. Water backed up on the floor in two men's room last visit. Employees are distracted and service probably will never recover from the Covid situation and food services ghost like. I'm curious what will be built there when they tear it down. It is already challenging enough finding anything out of Hollywood that's a family worthy product. read more

Despite a big disclaimer on the website, a big sign at the entrance and one in the corridor of the theaters, we noticed a bunch of middle school aged children walking in with no parents. When we got to our theater, there were 4-5 different middle school aged kids sitting on the back row talking. When the movie started, they continued to talk and got into an argument with raised voices. Then, they got up and chased each other around the theater throwing popcorn. After finally sitting back down, the proceeded to fart loudly multiple times. These kids must have been raised in a barn. Not one employee said a word to any of the kids we saw. No check ID's or asking about adult supervision. The employees were mostly teenagers and probably don't care. The last time we came there were 2 young teenaged boys harassing adult couples, asking for them to pretend to be their parents so they could get into an R-rated movie. They were loud and obnoxiously aggressive right in front of the ticket window and nothing was done to stop it. I saw a uniformed officer sitting near the bar watching over that area, but I guess that's all he's hired to do. This theater is great but the kids have figured out that there is zero supervision here and they are taking advantage of it. Do better, Showbiz. read more

Saw the ghostbusters movie, it was ok. This place and the customer service is getting worse every week. They took away the drink trays almost a year ago, so you can't have multiple drinks, popcorn and other stuff at one time., you have to make multiple trips; only so many hands you know. They've shrunk the drink cups and charge more as well as smaller popcorn containers. They have a full restaurant but you have to ASK for utensils. However, the theater seating is still the best and most comfortable in the entire area. read more

Since new ownership perishable products have gone down, ie popcorn isn't as tasty or popped kernels as large as when they first opened. Only one size drink is sold. For seniors, they refuse to sell us the children's kit without the drink and fill the drink slot with popcorn, making us feel like we're asking for an expensive replacement. Staff doesn't appear glad to be there and when asked a question the guy at the register looks at us as if we're from Mars. Happens every time. The seats aren't comfortable anymore and are so worn out the pleather is coming off the headrest. Kinda gross. read more

This theatre is dirty and infested with flying moths. We have been here several times over the last six months and always flying moths during the movie. I spoke to the manager and he said "oh yes we have a moth infestation and have had exterminators spray but don't know where they are coming from", so I said, so you know about it and it isn't getting better?" They have sold to another company. They should have notified everyone to no longer use the Elevate app. I purchased tickets on the app and it changed my setting from the Edmond location to a Texas location! When I arrived at the Edmond location to see the movie it wasn't even playing there. I spend over $30 for the tickets. They gave me 2 free tickets but that did not cover the $30+ I had paid. I guess I'll be finding a new theater. read more

This seems like such a great place!!! BUT.... The service is awful! So, first of all, we reserved two lanes. I asked about military discount and they give you one free shoe rental per lane. well, at least they give us $4.50 off. Even though there were multiple veterans. Second, the lanes were $38 plus each person who needs shoes $4.50 for 1.5 hours. Takes a minute to get started figuring out all the options for games!!? Wish it was just straight bowling scoreboard. Wasted time watching the pictures and things that show up all on the screen. Third, if you order a drink from the bar, DON'T! Waited 40 min, then went up to the bar to ask about them. Watched 5! Yes 5 guys stand around the register figuring out the orders that are put in. 5! The other bar tender was serving and cashing out and another was intently looking at the recipe binder as he was desperately trying to figure out what to put in the mixed drink he was making! If anywhere needs a bar make over, it's this place!! I told our poor waitstaff that he was kind and diligently checking on us, but as long as the bar was screwed up, he was not going to make great tips? Fourth, before bowling we walk up to order a milkshake. We walked up just as a girl was getting her order. The guy serving said to us he'd be right back. He never came back. I noticed after about 5 minutes of waiting, there was a girl sitting behind the food prep window just playing on her phone, I whistled to get her attention. She looked up and I motioned raising my hands like what's up? She said that we needed to go to the bar on the other side of the place to get a bar tender to help with ice cream!! What??!! So we walk over there. After the guy knew we were waiting. That was an adventure. Fifteen minutes and there wasn't anyone in line or anything! Fifth, we were bowling and needed bumpers for our kiddo. We asked for assistance and the girl came over. She asked if we needed them for all bowlers or just one. We told her just one and gave our kids name. She never turned them on! And you can't do it from your lane. There is so much potential for this place but seems to be lacking quality training, quality management, and employee initiative! They lost BIG MONEY not serving all the people wanting to be served. Oh, THEY DONT TAKE CASH EITHER!! read more

Used to be amazing but it has gone downhill terribly in last year. Floors, seats and trays are so sticky no matter what day or time of day you watch a movie. Bathrooms are a gamble, impossible to hit the trifecta of toilet paper, soap and paper napkins in one go. Employees act like they'd rather be on a smoke break. Hoping new ownership helps bring it back but they might be the problem. Bummer. read more

We were so excited to be able to go inside a theater....it's been over a year due to COVID for us. There were 3 ticket windows, but no one inside nor any instructions as to where u can get the tickets. Went inside and it's actually and surprisingly very bright and colorful as Vegas at night. Well it's almost as bright. Finally found 1 person at a computer station hallway towards The front and found out that's where u get your tickets. Easy, and we picked our reserved seats, and they do offer military discount. We immediately went to get popcorn and soda. The soda's were self serve AND get this, you have to pay at the same computer station that we got the tickets at. Sodas were self serve. Very confusing. Now for the best part, the theater had beautiful leather seats that recline and each chair had a tray w cup holder. We thoroughly enjoyed watching Tom and Jerry. We came back the next day with the 2 grandkids so they could bowl and play the arcades. Really enjoyed everything except: if the waitress stops by and asks if u want a drink, be sure to ask how much. I spent $17 on 2 ice teas and 1 soda in small clear plastic bar cup. WoW!! I wish they had sanitizer at each bowling lane Because people's hands were all over everyone's balls. Same with the arcade area. Employees wore face masks, each bowling lane was cleaned before anyone could bowl at that lane. Highly recommend if u want an all in one place to entertain the family. It is above average cost compared to other places. read more

I would agree with others that this place has gone downhill. Went there bowling recently and somehow got the one lane that bumpers didn't work so then had to switch lanes after getting set up. Then had pin malfunctions a couple times and it took 20 mins to get someone to fix it, which came off the hour and a half time I had to bowl. Went to movie this weekend and the chairs are wearing out, there was dried spilled pop on some on the seats and tables. They have a new app that has some good rewards but for whatever reason you can only redeem the free movie reward in person. How many people these days are just showing up and trying to reserve seats 15 mins before the movie starts? Tried to get a refund on a movie recently (which you also have to do in person) and couldn't get a refund because "sometimes when you pay with Apple Pay, you can't get a refund". No clue what that means. read more
