Where do I begin?!? We had just gotten the pre-approval from the bank and were in desperate need of…read morea real estate agent. We literally sat with our phones and started googling real estate agents, we called a few but most of them were either busy or we just never heard from them. We were just passing through and noticed the big Remax MiCasa logo and we decided to call the number. The receptionist referred us to Alejandra Muñoz, we spoke to her briefly and we immediately had a showing scheduled for the following day. Alejandra is also a person that communicates with you with everything that is happening. The whole process of buying a home is quite challenging but Alejandra really went all out to make sure we had the house we wanted. Once our offer got accepted, we had to wait for the fun part of having the loan go through and unfortunately for us that was not happening because of the loan officer we were working with. We were just waiting on the appraisal and the loan to go through, but our loan officer wasn't responding to our messages. Once he did the answers, he provided were not conclusive. The listing agent was already considering putting the house back on market because the lack of response from our loan officer. Even through all that stress and panic mode, we were lucky enough that Alejandra referred us to another loan officer, Sergio Soto whom works with Caliber Home Loans but stays within Remax Micasa. Sergio was another exceptional guy, we were already two-three weeks in just waiting on the loan and appraisal to get through, but Sergio made everything possible and completed it within days! (speedy fast). If it wasn't for Sergio's talent, we would've lost our earnest money, inspection fee and most importantly the house wouldn't have been ours. In the end everything brighten up for us, we got the home and are almost a month in from the closing date! Working with Alejandra was one of our best decisions we ever made. We both are very pleased that we were just passing through that day and notice the big logo.

I lived there for 17 years, and they would have yearly outbreaks of roaches, mice, or bedbugs. They…read morepromised to replace my broken floor tiles, but they did a bad job, so they were broken again within months. I had to call the police several times about drunken neighbors fighting or trying to attack me. Upon notifying the management, they were slow to respond or act. they raised my rent every year, the last few years were raised 65-100 dollars with each new lease, that made my last new lease $1,000 for a 1-bedroom apt. Meanwhile my apt had not been updated the entire 17 years I was there. However new tenants were getting remolded Apts with everything new. When I complained to the management, they told me they don't update Apts until a resident moves out. So that means I'm paying $1.000 for an outdated apt but new residents are paying $700 for a newly remolded 2-bedroom apt. Thats when I decided not to sign another lease and move out at the end of my lease. On move out day there were a few items left in the apt that couldnt fit on my moving truck, so I held the keys for another2 days to get everything out in my car. The property manager instructed his maintenance team to turn my electricity off. When I threatened to call the city housing dept someone rushed out quickly and turned them back on. The owner is a great guy, he was very understanding when it came to me paying the rent later than my due date, however the property manager can be challenging to work with sometimes, especially when he wants to move out quickly, he'll cut your electricity off to force you out. But overall, he helped me out over the years especially when my washing machine ran over, and water leaked into the clinic below. He made me get rid of the washing machine or be evicted. I got rid of it.
