Kedar Maharaj did an incredible job before and during our wedding and we cannot recommend him more highly. He has a wonderful mix of a traditional and modern approach that we, our families, and all of our guests loved. To start, he was highly organized and professional. We had video calls and text discussions to ensure all of the rituals were well planned in terms of flow and necessary items were prepared. In addition to the wedding ceremony, he led janoi and choora ceremonies which he did a tremendous job on. We loved how well he explained the meanings behind all of the rituals to us as well as our guests, which made the wedding ceremony, janoi, and choora rituals more engaging and spiritual with the added context. Kedar Maharaj is one of the newer priests at Shri Mandir and he led our wedding ceremony last week at the BAPs Temple Chino Hills. Leading up the wedding, he answered all our questions over calls and texts to ensure we were all aligned and prepared for the ceremony. He even suggested a zoom call with myself, my husband, and both our Moms a few weeks before the wedding to talk through the whole ceremony to ensure there were no surprises on the day and we brought all the necessary items for the ceremony. During the ceremony, he did a great job explaining the meaning behind the different rituals and making the experience inclusive for all out guests. Many of our guests commented on how much they appreciated his approach and would love to have him lead their family members' future weddings, baby shower ceremonies, etc. Overall, I appreciated his attention to detail and his modern approach. Kedar Maharaj conducted upanayan sankskar ( Janoi) for our son. Kedar ji is highly educated and knowledgeable, and made the ritual very engaging and educational - both for the adults and the younger ones. He knows how to introduce fun in the process so that kids participate and retain the learnings from the ritual. He met us beforehand in person and answered phone calls to explain the process and preparation details and answer any questions we had, and was always reachable. He is eloquent and fluent in multiple languages (English, Hindi, Gujarati are some that we know of..). He often conducts other poojas & ceremonies for our friends and we've always heard positive feedback about him. We highly recommend Kedar ji for any rituals . read more

I am fortunate to live close to Shri Mandir. I'm actively taking part in pooja and temple activities. All of the priests at Shri Mandir are modest and knowledgeable. Pt. Kedar Dave performed Rudrabhishekem and Durga saptshati pooja for me several times, sometime at my house and sometimes in the temple. SHRI MANDIR....located in Black mountain area.....its the best Hindu Temple in San Diego Area. The temple is clean and very beautiful. There are pujari's which offer regular puja's over thr. They have different events all the year round. They celebrate all the Hindu festivals with lot of enthusiasm by decorating the idols, temple, organising bhajans, aarti and prasad. If you are lucky enough to go during these nine delightful nights of puja remember to dress up in very bright festive colors and hydrate in advance, or bring water--you will be dancing for hours barefoot as the packed room spins with many lovely and lively dancers.
