If you have sensitive skin - I do not recommend threading. But the beautician can recommend wonderful natural facials for you. I've been threading my eyebrows for a longgg time...and I never get comfortable doing it! Treading is painful (so is waxing) but it only lasts a few minutes and your eyebrows come out beautifully shaped versus waxing. I've tried both and waxing never gives me straight clean looking eyebrows. That's my opinion and if you have a different experience I'm happy for you! The main lady has one person who helps her. She has been doing eyebrows for 25 years so shes fast! They are very friendly but you have to explain what shape you want. It's no different than getting a haircut. Tell them what you want and dont want. Because eyebrow shapes can change and you have a vision in your head - just tell them exactly what you envision! The facials are amazing and relaxing. I wasnt a fan of the 'gold facial' but the pearl and diamond ones worked out beautifully was so relaxing and brightened up my face! There is street parking but it gets busy on the weekends so come on an odd night and you will be in and out in a flash! read more

I would like to give her credit for keeping hygiene in her parlour and being good with threading. But being clever is a skill not many will appreciate. Her website says $40 for full legs waxing but she charged me $75 fir it and did not do a good job at it. After spending $150 i left her salon feeling cheated. A little pricy. I got overcharged several times. The owner just makes up her own prices and does not go by the pricing board she has posted within the store. Not to mention, she does not follow instructions and just does what she sees feasible. I asked for my eyebrows to be slightly cleaned and not super trimmed. She screwed up big time and completely ruined the shape of my eyebrows; I left with one thick and one super thin. It took me over a year to grow one of my eyebrows back. I have not stepped in into that store since then although I was a regular. And I will never go back there for any of my salon needs. read more

I am EXTREMELY picky about my eyebrows so for me to highly recommend someone means they are very good at what they do! The woman that does eyebrow threading here is a professional when it comes to shaping eyebrows. Everyone walks out with perfectly sculpted brows and for only $6! I have been to just about every threading place in philadelphia and several in NY and this woman (still dont know her name) is one of the best. She is consistent and listens to what you want but also gives her expert opinion. I never make an appt but have never waited longer then 5-10 minutes to be shaped. I went in two days ago for an eyebrow threading and underarm wax. The owner was fast and professional. She did a beautiful job on my eyebrows, exactly what I asked for. I had a difficult time keeping my face relaxed for her but she was kind and patient. I plan to return soon for more waxing. You can't beat the prices. Great place to get your eyebrows done. Far less painful than other places I've been to and a lot cheaper as well. They're great at shaping them from a mess. Be aware that there's usually a lot of people getting theirs done, especially for the weekend. read more

It's really hard to find good threading....and I finally found it! The owner, who is also the woman doing the threading, is so good at what she does. She pulls them deep and doesn't make the hair snap so it doesn't grow back as an ingrown hair. She's friendly too. I haven't use any other services from her other than facial threading, yet. Walked into Zara's (other threading establishment) with perfectly fine eyebrows and walked out with the worse eyebrow job i have ever had. I had lost all hope in repairing my eyebrows. After growing my eyebrows i found this place on yelp n decided to try it. The environment is clean and the woman threading was kind and welcoming. Neema is a disrespectful unprofessional woman. She only ever makes disrespectful comments. It's disgusting. Her prices are so low because she does HORRIBLE jobs and literally will scar ur facial parts and if you tell her she has done so, she'll start freaking out at you and then deny you service next time. She LITERALLY has never threaded me without leaving a Ton of hairs cut at the surface. What's the point of getting threaded when she LITERALLY always screws u over with the ingrown hairs. She doesn't pull/ thread properly. I don't know. Frankly I'm done with this place. Good riddance to her and her unpleasant establishment. I recommend Hina's or ANY OTHER PLACE. Funny how she comments about other people's faces or skin. The whole point of a beauty salon is to provide a nice relaxing environment. I got my eyebrows threaded for the first time here and I loved it! Definitely will be coming back. The prices are cheap and the lady did a good job. Salon was also very clean when I went on a Saturday afternoon. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I wasn't really told how the threading process worked or asked what shape/thickness I wanted for my brows. Came here for eyebrow threading and worth the 18 min drive from NE. Vet clean salon and very quick with the process, which makes it less painful. Also got my chin threaded and it tickles and stings a bit more because of the loose skin. I'm not brace enough to try the upper lip again. I will come back to try a deep conditioning and a hair cut. read more

I used to go here to get my eyebrows done but I stopped coming here due to the poor service. Everytime I get my eyebrows done from here I have to go home tweeze the place she forgot to thread. The Indian lady that works there is not very friendly and uncomfortable to deal with. The salon is located where it is difficult to find parking. My friends mother came here for a wash and haircut. This lady charged her $75 dollars which I think is ridiculous. This is not a honest business. read more

This beauty salon looked promising. My friend had always done her eyebrows here so I gave it a shot. The thing was when the lady had worked on my eyebrows she made it uneven- one higher than the other. It didn't bother me too much and it was what- only $6? What bothered me were here snarky comments about my skin. She was always telling me how dirty and blemished my skin was. I was in a rush one day and asked her to cut the split ends off my hair. She crticised once more about my split ends saying how terrible I manage my hair. Then she proceeded to cut about 4 inches off just like that. My hair was up to my waist and she chopped it all off. The lady can barely do henna- why had I let her manage my hair? Worst hair experience ever. read more

This is the best eyebrow threading salon you will find in all of PA. The Indian woman knows exactly what she's doing and provides excellent customer service. Her prices are extremely reasonable unlike the outrageous prices of other places. I'm from NJ and you can find eyebrow threading wherever you go. Since moving to PA it has been difficult to find a decent threading salon. I've never had to pay over $10 for eyebrows and upper lip. When I saw the prices of other places like $13 for eyebrows, $5 for unibrow (this should be considered part of eyebrows), and $6-8 for upper lip, I was outraged! But when I found this salon I was relieved to find that there was still someone with some sense of reasonable pricing. I do wish for one thing though, that she apply lotion for you at the end. The salons in NJ give you a mini message with lotion to relieve some of the redness and pain (if any). But still this is the best eyebrow threading salon around!! read more

I had a terrible experience once. I took an appointment for saree draping one month ago and the person whom I spoke with said they are fine with the time. He asked me to call and remind them the day before. So when I called the day before, he said he is sorry, they have another appointment at that time. Then I asked him why he didn't tell me that when I booked. He said they got the another appointment after I booked and they are big customer and he said they cannot do it at the time scheduled. That was really unprofessional!! He could have at least informed me 2 or 3 days before because I had a tough time in finding another saloon for appointment in last minute. I would recommend this salon to everyone because the lady knows which shape will look best on you and i didn't even have to tell her like it happens usually at other salons. The place is very clean and the staff is friendly. She also does it very fast like 5 mins and you're done. I didnt even feel a lot of pain. The lady cutting my hair didn't know how to cut layers. The appointment started off with her asking me if I would go short and showed me how short she wanted to cut (which was significantly a lot more shorter than I was comfortable with). I said "no I'd like to keep it long, just a trim of overall length and to add layers." After I specifically asked her not to let the overall length go shorter than 4 inches, she continued to cut and cut to the length that she suggested in the beginning. Throughout the appointment I kept telling her I didn't want it short but she kept cutting away and told me she wasn't cutting it short. Did not care what I wanted AT ALL. I left with a very BLUNT two layers. One super short that took up more than half of my head. And one slightly longer. I don't think she knew how to cut layers on longer hair or layers at all. I came in with hair down to my butt and I left with my hair mid chest (that is NOT four inches - more like a foot and a half).Would not recommend this place for a haircut. They also don't accept card and have obscure pricing for basically everything. Their board said that the price for eyebrows was $8 and the girl in front of me got charged $14 to get eyebrows done which made no sense. Then she charged me $20 for a "haircut" when the board said $15. DO NOT GO THERE FOR HAIRCUTS. I barely ever leave bad reviews, but this was the most disappointing hair cut I have ever gotten. read more
