Note that we live 3500 miles away so it is quite a chore for us to visit this restaurant. Tonight we had the house special lamb curry and the spinach chana paneer with lime rice. Both dishes were excellent. They had the right mix of spices and tasted great. The waiter listened to what we like and recommended that lamb dish instead of the one we initially chose. We found out that this restaurant is really a Pakistani restaurant with an Indian name. There are a numbers of Pakistani dishes on the menu. As we found out they can also do Indian dishes well. We plan to return another night for dinner.

My wife and I had the Chicken Masala, a chicken curry dish, a cauliflower potato veggie, and a coconut and almond naan- Peshwari Naan. And it was all excellent. Give this restaurant a chance. They have friendly, great service with delicious food. It was a welcome change from the "typical" English food that we had eaten while in London.

The curries were tasty and well flavoured, as was the rice we got on the side. My stepdad's dish came with rice already on a neat, complete plate. The naan was pretty good, although not my favourite I've ever had. We had chai to finish the meal, which was a bit over-creamy for me, but that's likely due to Canadian milk not having as high a fat percentage as English milk, for the most part. The food that they offer is amazing, and if there is anything that you want that they dont' have on the menu they can normally make it for you. As with the majority of places along the river front in Bidford it was affected by the floods of last year, meaning a complete refurbishment and this has definitely had a positive effect. The decor is modern and clean, the seats are comfortable and there is plenty of space so you do not feel like you are squeezed in. They also offer a take away service, and normally the time that they tell you to turn up to pick it up is spot on, meaning that you do not have to wait around for ages. At the entrance to the restaurant they have really comfortable sofas, either for people waiting to takeaway or people waiting to be seated, though these are normally free due to there being plenty of seating and the fact that the food is ready when they say it will be. This Indian is so good that my sister even used to make a 30 mile round trip just to get food from here. I cannot recommend it enough.

We started with papadum and relish tray, and a couple of Kingfishers (on draft). For the table we ordered pillau rice, naan (2 kinds, but can't remember which 2), and saag paneer. I chose the Hozor Ki Pasandwalla Murghi because I wanted to try to pronounce it, and it's one of Oli's favorites. It's thinner sauce with nice heat and a good amount of peppers, onions, and tomatoes. He chose the Chicken Laknavi, and Jane chose the Chicken Pasanda. Everything was nicely spiced - heat but still flavor. Portions were generous - we probably only needed half as much, but we couldn't resist all the flavors. We were treated to a drink afterwards with our bill, and Bailey's was a perfect digestif with the chocolate. On our way out, we were given a 2019 calendar as a holiday present. I'm looking forward to another delicious and friendly meal when I'm back in Oxford!
