It's hard to get with her manager because she (Pamela) i think is her name is never in the office and i have left a message before and she NEVER calls you back. We lived in a Sherrill Realty apartment for one year and despite the musty odor, roaches for the…read morefirst six months and the fact that the apartment was anything but new, we didn't have too many issues while we lived there. We always paid our rent on time and even cleaned up whenever they came to show our place. The rude awakening came when we moved out. We thoroughly cleaned the apartment and in the end it was way cleaner than it had been when we moved in. We knew they would charge us for the carpet cleaning regardless of what we did, but despite all our efforts they also charged us for cleaning the apartment. During the final walk-through they told us we should have moved the stove and the refrigerator and cleaned behind the appliances. In the final report it also states that they had to remove food from the refrigerator that we had left there. That was a flat-out LIE! Why should we spent hours cleaning the apartment and then leave food in the refrigerator?! Be prepared to pay cleaning and carpet cleaning fees no matter how neat you are and how much you clean in the end - they will provide you with a long list of nitpicky and even made-up claims that will add up to an outrageous cleaning fee (considering the size and the original condition of the apartment). A couple of months ago, I even recommended them to a good friend of mine and that was a big mistake - I would NOT RECOMMEND them again.

Sherrill was one of the worst companies I've ever rented from, and the front office staff was consistently rude and dismissive. During my tenancy, my ceiling cracked and began caving in, yet the property was never properly maintained. Rent increased every year, but there were no meaningful improvements to the home. If you could see what was behind the walls, you'd be shocked. I just completed my move-out and fully expect to have issues getting my security deposit back after reading so many similar reviews. I hope that's not the case, but my experience doesn't give me much confidence. Save yourself the stress and rent somewhere that values its tenants.
