I waited a year to post to provide an honest review. This overall is a disappointing product. I am very displeased with look and performance of the Bath Fitter tub. The install was not seamless and took almost four months. The company installed three bathtubs and two sets of walls. The first install was the best overall; however, the tub had damage and mismatched hardware (installer did point out the error and stated company would correct -- corrected with the third install). Install number two was the worst with excessive caulk, a tub cut too short, and the surround wall being cracked. Install number three included replacing the Bath Fitter tub and going over the first tub surround -- it looks like what it is, a reworked/repaired tub and surround. The tub has a low spot that holds water, the surround walls flex when being cleaned, and trim isn't straight and clean (removed and installed twice). There is so much caulk, that it holds water and forms pink mildew in a few days. Also had to have a service call after the third install because of water dripping in the wall -- issue was resolved quickly. Overall, it would have been more economical and quicker to have torn out and replaced the tub and surround. The reason Bath Fitter was hired was to quickly update the bathroom prior to the holidays. That didn't happen since the first install was in October and the final install was completed in January. Additionally, original plans were to update other bathrooms with this product, but that is not going to happen. Overall, I would not recommend this product. It would have been cheaper, quicker, and better looking to have torn out the original tub and surround and replaced.

I couldn't ask for someone nicer to do the service. My washer had 3 things wrong with it and the repairman replaced the motherboard to fix the main error message. That fixed one problem, but it left 2 other issues that needed to be addressed. The theory was for me to use the washer and see if replacing the motherboard would fix all three. If it didn't I was supposed to call S&S to have the remaining 2 problems fixed. I have been trying to contact the company by phone multiple times for the past 2 days. I keep being put on hold until the phone actually cuts itself off. I have tried using the online system they encourage you to use, but even that doesn't work. If I could use another company I would.

I needed it serviced because the refrigerator had a problem of working for a week or two and then it would stop cooling. It had to be unplugged for 24 hours and then plugged back in. It would again work for a week or two and then it would have to be unplugged again. When the service man arrived n 12/27/10 I described the problem. He said he needed to order a part (defrost control) and would return. He returned on 01/06/11 and installed a new defrost controller. The total charge was $231.91. About a week or two later it quit working again. I called and said it still doing the same thing. The repairman returned. This time he checked the compressor and said that was the problem and it would cost over $500.oo to replace it and I would be better off buying a new refrigerator although mine was only 5 years old. I asked him if I could have a refund for all the other since the defrost control was not the problem to begin with. He said he would ask his manager. He called the next day and said sorry they could not refund anything because at least my refrigerator worked for a week. I find this way of conducting business as very unprofessional. They can not stand behind their work/repair. If you can not afford a "hunt & miss" repair then I suggest you find another repair service besides S & S Appliance.

She has already paid an incredible amount of money for the work, yet the project has still not been properly completed. What was supposed to be a professional job has turned into an extremely frustrating, expensive, and drawn-out experience. The biggest issue has been the constant delays. More than two years later, the work is still not finished. Despite the significant amount of money that has already been paid, she has been left waiting and repeatedly trying to get the company to actually complete what they were hired and paid to do. The communication has also been extremely disappointing. Getting clear answers, updates, or a firm timeline has been incredibly difficult. Instead of seeing consistent progress, there have been repeated delays and excuses. She has had to continually follow up just to find out when someone would actually come to the house and finish the work. At this point, this is no longer a situation where you can simply say that construction projects sometimes take longer than expected. My aunt trusted this company to do the job properly and paid them a substantial amount of money. Unfortunately, she has been left with unfinished work, long delays, and the frustration of having to repeatedly chase the company for something that should have been completed long ago.
